Security pop up - not sure if it is valid

I get the following popup.  Popup States it is from Microsoft.net "Unhanded exception has occurred in your application.  If you click on continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.  If you click on exit, the application closes immediately.
Could not load file or assembly ' Core.Version = 1.0.0.0.Culture = neutral.  Public key token ' or one of its dependencies.  The system cannot find the specified file. »
I am a novice in computer science and have been invited to click on the 'x' on the upper right corner, which I do, but this popup appears several times a day.  What should I do?

I use Internet Explorer to receive and send my email via my internet provider. Recently, I did up this pop on my screen when I try to compose an e-mail message. The pop-up tries to install a certificate, I think.  It has the logo of Java but I'm not sure it's a legitimate opinion. Did someone familiar with this pop up and what I can do to stop it, and what can be done to clear up the problem is Internet Explorer to shut down. I've included a screenshot of this pop up. Hello

    1. what web browser do you use?

2 have had any changes made to the computer before the show?

If you use Internet Explorer, please follow the methods.

    Method 1:

If you see pop-ups suspicious, bars unwanted tools, redirects, strange results or other unexpected behavior on your computer, you may have been deceived by installing malicious software (also known as 'malware') on your computer. This behavior is known as the browser hijacking.

To correct your hijacked browser I suggest to follow the steps outlined in the article below and check if it helps to solve the problem:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/spyware/browserhijacking.aspx

    Method 2:

    Step 1:

Start the computer in safe mode with network and perform antivirus analysis.

    See the link.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    Step 2:

    Perform an online virus scan.

Note: the data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.

    Hi Netbook,

This isn't enough information.  What is the exact message and any word to Word with all the codes?  How it was received (a pop-up, aredirect, an e-mail (if so, what he want/say - leaving out personal information about you)?)  What were you doing when it was received?  Do you know what program sent you him?  What operating system?  What browser and version?  What security programs (names and versions of all of them?  The message say?  When it seemed (start-up or during work)?

Here's help on how to respond to that and other information necessary to understand: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375.

In the meantime, I would do anything he asked and guess that it's a scam, spam, malware and/or until we prove otherwise based on your comments.

  • Ad-aware masquerading as my Vista Security Center, could not be deleted.

I used my PC reguarley for the last days without what appears to everyone, now everything I've been slowed down on my PC this message "Windows Vista Security" popped up and immediately I knew it was ad-aware or a virus any. He started doing that same old scan, telling me to each file that I had on my computer was a Trojan of some sort.

I always had AVG, but disabled Vista security because they interfere with each other, the last time I downloaded something yesterday and it was Microsoft Office 2010 Beta, and before it was a few weeks, but I always scan before you download.

I have attached a link in the screenshot below, when you click "Turn on now" another screen appears asking me to 'Purchase Windows Vista Security', etc. and then takes me to a convincing site asking my details of credit card etc.. No computer sounds very convincing and I'm sure many have already fallen, AVG does not recgonised it well. He has taken compltley in charge my Security Center and I can't use anything.

  • All of a sudden I can't open attachments to emails. I get a message that the 'security settings' do not allow. Where are these settings and who put?

I use TWC (Time Warner Cable) as my server e-mail and Firefox as my browser. I went to my emails and has attempted to open an attachment and got an error message stating "security settings prevent the download file. Well, I contacted TWC, Norton and my PC settings. It seems that Firefox is the problem! If I use another browser ie: Google and go to my email account, I have no problem. I remember recently that Firefox did a download of updates and this may be the cause of the problem.

Thank you for your private message with the error text: "your current security settings do not allow this file to download."

Firefox partially integrates with Internet Explorer security settings for download purposes. You can realize your Internet Explorer settings to the 'Internet' zone by following the steps described in this answer to Microsoft forums:

  • Tecra M4: EasyGuard advanced instant security - alarm does not sound

    Hello
    Instant EasyGuard Security Advanced
I followed the instructions to the "request of Iris' to support Toshiba, but the alarm will not sound.
I know that the motion detectors work because if I shake the phone enough, the hard drive protection popup will be displayed.

I even confirmed that the wav file that is listed in the registry exists.
Does anyone have ideas, what I can check next?
I already reinstalled all the toshiba utilities in the hope that could fix it.

    Hello

I put t know which unit you have (European or US model) but ask Iris is written for portable Setup US and the preinstalled image is not the same as on European models.

I checked the Tecra M4 user manuals and it is not listed as this device is equipped with advanced instant security. You see using indicated such CrossMenu about US page?

Either way, you make a small mistake. In your ad, you have written two different things. Please check HDD protection tool settings and you will see that there is no option for an alarm. What you're saying is a tool separately, but I'm not sure that it is a part of the package of software for your device.

  • I ran the upgrade wizard. I'm still not sure what it means

    Hello

Preamble: I'm not tech savvy, please he dumb down for me.

I ran the upgrade wizard and I'm still not sure if the upgrade is a good idea. I need to know whether or not it is compatible before moving with her.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525, running Windows Vista.

    Some issues that came:

Install an application to play DVDs, Sidebar gadgets are not supported, secure boot is not compatible, your screen resolution is not compatible.

I checked my screen and higher resolution, it goes up to is 1280 X 800. I tried to watch promotional videos for Windows 8, but the video does not work yet. The color was off, the sound was very good.

What does that mean? Windows still work? What should I do to make sure that I can still do normal things?

I do not know. You will need to check with the Upgrade Wizard of Windows 7, then check the manufacturer's website.

My old Vista was not able to upgrade to Windows 7 (Toshiba).

Upgrade Advisor advised me to some questions, and then I went to the Toshiba site and was informed any way uncertain "not compatible".

If you want to switch from Vista to Windows 7 - check

Visit the site of the manufacturer for more information.
