• Formatting of 'see' or 'see also' in the index

  Using FM 8.0p277 on Windows XP (required by the customer).

  The Chicago Manual of Style italic clamoring for the words 'See' or 'See also' in the index. For example, an index entry can be "Puppy. See Dog. "I can not find how to make these words in italics in the index entries. Is this possible?

• Mounting see also subject...

  Hi, I'm just learning how to use RoboHelp (HR HTML 10), as I put it to date of existing aid for software made by my company.

  The problem is that some subjects have evil too... see links.

  For example, in the attached photo (https://workspaces.acrobat.com/?d=0LrVwK4FeH8RwZC3P * Qfkg) the heading in the area should not be related to my subject.

  I created this topic by copying a similar one (topic duplicate order) and by changing the title and a few other words and probably the see also... was not being updated.

  Is it possible to change the topics see also... in an already existing project?

  Your second screenshot in the last response provides the answer. Note the code is JavaScript:RelatedTopics.

  Related topics is a different function to the see also section. Related topics pretty much is a once shot when you insert a control of related topics in the topic and at this time, choose the topics you want to be associated with the control. To see the changes on the road, you must modify the control and change the text or subjects.

  In this case your order is probably configured to be hidden, as you are ' by clicking on ' it via JavaScript.

• (RH9) 'See also' - how to make * not * clicks when only one entry in the list?

  I have several topics (A, B and C) in which I want to place a control 'See also' that has two subjects (B and C) inside.

  In the A section, click on the control see also appears a list of "A" and "B". Click each item in the list to access the topic.

  In the B section, click on the control see also jumps directly to heading C.

  In the C section, click on the control see also go directly to section B.

  Is there a way to force the control to * always * bring up a list of subjects "see also"? For example, in section B, I would like to control to display a list containing just heading C.

  Click your related topics in WYSIWYG button and switch to HTML view.

  You should see a quantity of larg of the code presented in green, followed by a small amount of what looks like the code repeated in dark red.

• See also with a text link

  Previously, when I generated a CHM file, I was using a hidden control see also with a link text for "related topics." In WebHelp that doesn't seem to work. Is this correct, or is it in any way possible to use a link text in this way with WebHelp?

  Hi Rannveig

  Usually, it goes like this.

  1 insert the control and note the name of RelatedTopics by control in hover. Must be RelatedTopics if this is the first object1 OBJECT1 or if the second (depending on how the control was inserted)

  2. Select the text that your user will click to activate the control and perform the same steps as if you have a link to another page.

  3. in the dialog hyperlink, rather than list the path to the page, type JavaScript:RelatedTopics.Click (). Note that if the name of the control is object1 or OBJECT1, substitute you this RelatedTopics.

  All the "see also" keywords, I created (Index Designer tab) disappeared, although they still exist. " I can insert a button see also to a topic, and it works correctly. The problem is that I can't change the keywords as I can't see the tab Index Designer and I can't recreate (at least not with the same name).
  
  Any ideas on how to get the help of keywords to re - appear on the Index tab?

  I don't know if anyone can shed some light on this, but see also all buttons in all CHM Help files (as well my own and those associated with the software I'm using) stopped working a few butterflies there. All that remains is an 'X' where the button see also used to be in the compiled output.
  
  The fact that every single CHM file seems to have this problem (including the CHM Help files own Robohelps) and not just those I produce suggests the problem is outside Robohelp.
  
  I tried on computers using various programs of antvirus (Panda, MacAfee, etc.) and is not the problem.
  
  I'm starting to wonder in one of many Microsoft security patches interferes with the see also button.
  
  Any thoughts?

  Thanks - this seems to be the answer. I used the tool you have proposed to re - register the DLL and my see also reappear.

  One of our developers rewrote our Installer recently - it seems to me that this could be the source of my problem.

  Hello. My Dell Latitude d 820 has started to show problems. The flaw of disp. most striking is when I start my laptop. I see groups of blue lines over control of the system BIOS. If the initialization is complete, I find my disabled graphics card. Another thing is that I get a blue or black screen like a dead end. The blue screen comes with three different erros. Perhaps the more understandable error msg is: the problem seems to be caused by ( lvl4-disp). Or theinfinite loop error msg. My video card is nvidia Quadro NVS 120 m. I use Win. XP. SP2 32-bit. what I've done so far is that:

  I saw the net to enlighten me on this anomaly of display and the infinite loops and BSoD problems.

  I updated the drivers of disp.

  I formatted, used the system restore, cancel the restorations, xp used with the back of previous service.

  I depended on the onley, ignored drivers VGA drivers Nvidia, ignored the automatic updates...

  THE results are:

  mistakes only temporarily disappeared and returned in the same way that they have used.

  I can't understand the appearance of vulnerabilities display specific question as soon as the blue screen appears sudenly

  NOTE: the battery is out of order for months now and I use the 90v power adapter to power my laptop.

  the problem appeared all first some time after I put at the disposal of the battery.

  OK... "strange nother one (that I've met more strangeness in this draft than in all the others together, I think!).

  Index of terms cross referenced to themselves are not displayed in the compiled index.

  If a term is crossed referenced to a new mandate, it will appear. If it is crossed referenced to itself, it doesn't.

  For example, the keywords automated claims transactions is crossed referenced to the acronym ACT, works very well.

  The keyword booking, cross referenced to himself because he has sub keywords under him, does not appear.

  Key words sub should work without the primary keyword related to what whatsoever.

  I know it's weird, and I think in the previous versions of years may not have worked in this way.

  Thanks for your fast replay.

  Yes, I have tried to reinstall the SIM card and updated everything what is possible from the homepage, Microsoft and Toshiba. No external devices (e.g. 3 G USB) installed and windows is retrieved by a full licensed Windows Vista Business (No. Toshiba OEM more) just a couple of days.

  The only thing I discovered is that the 3G module Firmware is not updated. I didn't recognize the pop-up window when before updating, but yesterday, I got the day when/after massage:

  "Generation data has not changed, probably failed update"

  I tried to update with an activated, a connected and a module 3G disabled (in that order) but no change. I always get the same message once the module is restarted during the FW update. The module was not disconneced by stopping the system or any other stop option during update FW (as read in the instructions). The old FW was working fine until I did some updates to the Toshiba homepage (always ask Tempro). Any idea?

  Control on while you try to update the firmware with the original image of Windows from Toshiba?

• I can't see all my fonts styles in InDesign CC

  Hi all

  I have a problem to see my Gotham font styles. I installed all and I can see clearly without any error in the font book. I can see also all 8 styles software Apple Keynote, TextEdit or Pages, but miss me him 4 or 5 styles in InDesign - I see that bold, italic, regular and thin. Miss me ultra, extrabold and others.

  Can someone help me with this problem? It seems to be really urgent for me. I am also attaching screenshots for comparison.

  

  

  It can be done through the terminal, but I do not know the commands. Cocktail is the easy method.

• See multiple instances of my style in css Designer

  I just noticed that I see 4 instances of my style sheet in CSS designer.  I don't know why I see also 4 instances of query for each size of 481 px 769 px and only one instance of global and printing.  I tried to remove, but Dreamweaver doesn't let me.  any idea what's going on?
  I use Dreamweaver 2014 and all of my updates have been made.

  Nervermind, I managed to find out why,->, I created a page header, footer and navigation that I include in all my pages.  I didn't notice that I had a link to my css in all these files include_once, which adds an instance of my stylesheet 3 times + the original link in my current page style sheet makes 4 common examples of stylist CSS stylesheets.  Rookie mistake.

• Impossible RoboHelp &amp; quot; See &amp; quot; numbering step style

  For some reason, my style of list numbered, called "Steps" has no formatting (no withdrawal and no vertical spacing) in HTML view. I tried to refine paragraph spacing in Word and I also tried to change the margin values and high dash of the page in the css file, but it does not work.
  
  I use RoboHelp X 5 and I used the formatting that I used successfully in a RoboHelp x 3 project last year. The year last step-numbering aligns perfectly in html; the x 5 looks like a breakfast of the dog. I also tried to use an external css file of the previous project when I generated WebHelp and no luck there either. RoboHelp can't 'see' my style 'Step '.
  
  Here are my settings in:
  Word - First indent = 0.41; Indent = 0; Space above = 4.0pt; Space = below 6 pt; tab = 0.63 (the number of step is manually inserted field codes and the tab is inserted manually too)
  CSS - top margin = 4; left margin = 11.35; bottom margin = 6, indent =-11.35.
  
  I did a test using Word numbering built-in and it has perfectly aligned. Then I tried to change the step of formatting to match the integrated numbering settings dashes and spacing, and it did not work. Re-formatting of the entire project to strip the stye Step out and use a numbering of Word would be too costly.
  
  Any suggestions?
  
  

  I have found a workaround that I write in case someone else has this problem.

  The problem seems to be that X 5 HR cannot 'see' the style of numbering step because field codes have been inserted to the numbering (I prefer to use the field for numbering codes because the numbering is more accurate). It wasn't a problem in X 3 but it's in X 5.

  To solve this problem, I convert text fields by selecting all (ctrl-a) and then by clicking Ctrl + Shift + F9.

  When I re-built, the numbering perfectly aligned and vertical spacing was restored.

  The downside is that from here on, the numbering should be manual.

  If anyone out there has a solution in which the field code numbers could be maintained, I'd like to see it.

• How can I add the CSS styles used by Firefox player mode?

  When loading from the view of the reader, the text is aligned to the left by default. I would like to be well to the left and right justified. At present, I can arrange this by editing the css style in the view "Inspect element", but it's not permanent (and we don't know where the player load css style). Is there a way to make such a change in the permanent reader view css style?
