• Spaces does not work properly

  I have a Retina Display 27-inch iMac. Although spaces were working in El Capitan, including slide 2 fingers (mouse) to slide between spaces and assigning specific to alternative spaces applications (for example, iTunes has been assigned to the office 2).

  After the transition to macOS Sierra, I can still use spaces of Mission control, by selecting a space in the jobs at the top of the screen after pressing F3. However, swiping two fingers on the mouse (this gesture is enabled) or launch an iTunes of the 1st (it is assigned to the office 2) results in immediate disconnection and the reappearance of the login screen. No matter what method of switching of spaces that does not directly through Mission control causes this disconnection/connection. I tried to reset the SMC, without success.

  It is originally a major crimp in my workflow that I have requests assigned to various work stations and must be able to launch them directly in these spaces and drag from one to the other as I could with El Capitan.

  Everything else under macOS Sierra seems to work fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I think this may be a problem with corruption of preference files because I also installed macOS Sierra on a Mac Mini with a hp monitor and spaces seems to work fine on this machine.

• Defragmenter shows that I have a lot of disk space being taken up by a file that cannot be defragmented. I tried disk cleanup. I can't find this file to remove...

  The Defragmenter report is:
  Fragments of files in file size that cannot be defragmented
  32 330 MB \Documents and Settings\Bill & LaVerne\Local Settings\Temp\~PST5291.tmp
  I tried to find this file in order to remove it, but were unsuccessful.  I have the configuration of the computer to make the "hidden files" visible.  I searched all the temporary files by searching *.tmp and deleated all .tmp files that were more than 30 days old.  I searched files with one of the components of the file listed but am not successfulin find the listed file.
  Why can't I find this file?

  I tried the program you recommended "Pagedefrag", but he did not find any fragmented junk files to be fixed.

  However, I had another idea, I went into "the command prompt ", and progress through the file defragmentation report structure was first listed as the path of the fragmented files.  After clicking on "command prompt " in the program lists, I used an old DOS command line: cd (change directory ) (for each step ) and the following file type listed since the path of the defrag report file until I came to the temp indicated as fragmented file.  Then I typed del (space) and then pasted in the name of the file I wanted to delited "~ PST5291.tmp" and you press on [Enter] was deleted, and I was thrilled!

  I delited the file in mode "command prompt " even if windows has not shown that there was!

  Before I tried this, I got windows put in place a restore point in case where my new idea would cause a problem.

  Oh, before I tried this, I also ran again disk cleanup and led also to search all *.tmp files.

  Note: after you remove the ' ~ PST5291.tmp ' file, I ran again the defrag program with several additional fragmented files that cannot be defragmented reported!  When I deleted them... According to the above method, I managed to free up enough disk space change free space of 13% to 34% of free space on the C: drive.
  Quite impressive.
  Can someone explain why windows program (search or windows explorer) cannot 'see' all these files and why 'disk cleanup' could not find and remove?  They took almost 10 GIG of space!

• Directories of destination for copy files seeded in to test the page seeded in Jdeveloper

  I need confirmation on how to place the JDeveloper environment to test a seeded page - specifically the directories of files copied from $JAVA_TOP and < PRODUCT_TOP > mds destination.

  I want to start (and possibly expand) a page which is owned by the module for example AP, I took copies of

  Set 1) all xml files in $AP_TOP/mds (including subdirectories, in ascii mode)

  Set of 2) all xml files of $JAVA_TOP (including subdirectories, i.e. all of the modules, in ascii mode)

  Set of 3) any type of files from $JAVA_TOP (including subdirectories, i.e. all of the modules, in binary mode).

  My local JDEV_USER_HOME is c:\dev\oaf\r1211\jdevhome\jdev. I understand that these files must be unzipped in one or more of the following directories JDEV_USER_HOME/myclasses and JDEV_USER_HOME/myprojects.

  Could he confirm what set of files goes into what directory (ies).

  Together 1 must be copied into myclasses only, or my projects only or both. Same question for Set 2 and 3 of the value.

  I tried different combinations, but not able to get the desired effect. for example sometimes the module of the application (for example, HomeAM) appears in the Jdev browser in oracle.apps.ap.payments.server duplicate. This has been fixed when I deleted all the files in my project class (so keep the class under myclasses only files), now the controller (oracle.apps.ap.payments.webui.HomeCOJava) disappeared from the node browser webui.

• Irregular after pasting in the ID space

  When I copy text from Word or text editor in ID, there is the irregular spaces between sentences throughout the document of 200 pages.

  I am a newbie to ID, but I have tried many things to fix this... and still have the problem. Can someone please?

  (A bit of history... the person who sent me these files, sent in individual e-mails in which I had to copy and paste in Word.) They inserted spaces, returns, etc manually.)

  Some of us older people who have grown up with typewriters have learned that you have to hit the return key (or worse... Press the carriage return lever... (GASP!) at the end of the line and it might be that the person who keyed this makes it rather than let the word do the automatic packing. How ever it like that, Joel is right what you need to remove.

  In other words, you can consider using find/replace. Enter ^ p in the Search field (this is the paragraph return code), place the cursor at the beginning of your text and click on the find button. When it finds the first paragraph back, decide if you want to keep it or not. If you want to remove it, hit either the Edit button, and then click the search button to move on to the next, or use Find/replace to change and find in one step.

  Without anything in the field , it will replace the return paragraph with nothing, that may or may not be what you want. If there is no space between the last character of the line and paragraph returns, you will probably get the last word in a line combined with the first word of the next line, and you really don't want to have to clean that up. Consider instead replacing paragraph returns with a space (by typing a space in the period field). This can give you some double spaces to clean afterwards, but you can fix that easily enough.

  At the top of the Find/replace window, you will see query:. If you click on the blue arrows to the right, you can select a number of GREPs. One of them is Multiple Space to a single space. If you choose, it will load a bunch of code in find and edit fields. If you click on replace all, it will find any instance of two spaces or more in a row and change their unique spaces within the selection, account, document or that you selected in the Research: field. If there is a reason, you sometimes need to stay two spaces or more, do not use any change. Instead, find employment, change, find next, replace/find, or combination whatever you are comfortable with. You can see that people who kick back at the end of each line using also two spaces after every sentence, which is also a typewriter convention we use longer in electronic composition. It is a good way to solve this problem too.

  Are also common of two returns to separate paragraphs, which should be made with the spacing of the paragraphs, but that's another story, then a step at a time.

• Weird shared Variable dialog box message

  I came across a strange in the dialog box behavior, while I created a new shared variable.

  That I was typing in the name, I kept see a warning will appear in the dialog box.  It would come and go as typed.  I realized that whenever I typed a space, and it is thus temporarily the last letter in the name SV, the warning popped up.  Type the next letter, the warning would leave.  You can see the space ending the name right before the cursor in the top image and name that ends with a normal character in the background image.

  Now, it is logical to me that ends a name shared with a space variable would be a bad practice and should be warned against.  But the warning never actually says that you cannot end with a space.  To be more precise, it says that you can not the slash code \s in the name of the variable.  Now I'm not really in the slash codes, but I'm in the spaces.  And they seem to work in variable name, just not if it is the last character very well.

  It just seems to be a disconnect between what says the warning, and what you can and can't do.

  Can you have spaces in the name SV?  From my experience, you can.

  In addition, in its LV 8.6 on a machine XP SP3.

  Just to clarify, I see basically three questions.

  1. the error message is incorrect because spaces are allowed in the shared name of the variable, but the unclearly error that says they aren't.

  2. the spaces at the beginning or at the end of the shared variable, in my view, should not be allowed, but Ben could have an instance where he "backdoored" one in there.

  3. nuisance of user interface.  If spaces are not allowed at the end of the OAS, there is no need of an error message flashing on the screen that appears whenever you finish a word followed by a space before the next word begins.  The error message should really popup only once you click OK to save the variable.

• small characters by writing e-mail messages

  When you compose e-mail messages, sometimes I'm funny looking little characters that appear in my message instead of the actual letter, etc. I type.  For example, once, every time that I typed in a right parenthesis, that I had a little blue animal.  Another time, I typed in a letter from specific typing, I had a red heart appear in my message.  How can I get rid of these nasty characters?

  Hey, I found what I was looking for.   These little characters photo are called emoticons.  In my email, I went to the file, options, mail then chose to compose and removed the check mark beside the use of emoticons.  I hope I have solved this problem.

• Circles evenly spaced double

  With all the circle that I see, you can perform > Distort & Transform > transform, adjust the Distance and Copies according to his preferences. You can do that more than once, in different directions.

• Sequences on frames

  I use InDesign CS5 right now, and I'm having a problem that I don't know how to fix.

  Every now and then, when a paragraph ends at the bottom of a block of text, the line extra break after that paragraph flows into the next section. This sounds awkward, as the paragraph on the next page then does not start at the top of the frame, but a line downwards.

  Is it possible to put things so that these empty line breaks will stay at the previous page rather than go to the next page and the creation of a line empty?

  I know that I could manually set a specific amount of space after each paragraph, but if possible I prefer not to use this method. I hope there is some way that InDesign can be configured to do this automatically, sort of the way that Microsoft Word t - it if a breach of paragraph appears in a page.

  You can change the existing with the appropriate amount of space after paragraph style. And then search for additional performance ^ p ^ p and replace it by a back ^ p. space after value does not affect the paragraph beginning the following image.

• Smart Text Reflow stops working in the middle of my Documnet

  I broke one of the primary text on my master pages by typing a space inside character (which took quite awhile to see), but now I have overset text on the primary text with smart reflow power block. Why? And when I try to add a new page manually it does not contain any kind of textframe (primary or normal) that I expect to come from the main text on the master page frame. These two could be independent.

  Also, when juggling the Smart Text Reflow preferences turing on and off 'Delete empty Pages' document has just started gradually adding empty pages one after the other 70 or more before I noticed and off Smart Text Reflow and delete the pages manually.

  Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

  So, I just corrected it to reinvest the end on the main text block. (Shift-click) Seems easy now. I guess that seen with text overset text reflow smart power threw me a bit. Everything is fine now.

• Disabling printing

  I need to stop people printing the form.  All with the electronic form aims to save paper.  People print multiple copies, and we don't want them to do.  I may need to print at some point function, so I tried a script I found in the forum... but it does not work.  Basically, I have a field I want a specific typed value, such as a password.  If that is correct, they are able to print the form. Here's the code I used:

  In this case, it will jump to the top of the box telling them they cannot print if they type xxx333 in the text field.  However, it still appears the printing area after that, then they can always print.  I was hoping that the cancelAction script would take care of it, but do not do this. Is there a way to make this work?

  I tried on a form here and it worked fine... are you expected to work after I get th epassword? Rememeber that th euser must invoke an impression before one can be cancelled. I would like to remove the portion of the other... There is no need to print again... the user has already hit print to start this process in the first place.

  I wore my sample... .the code is located on the pre-publication of the password field, but you can put it on any event of pre-press.
