SEEP Oracle security
Hi all
Simplified interface of SEEP Oracle, we are able to create the dashboard that is similar to the interface of Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.4. But I'm not sure if the dashboard is stored anywhere and if we will be able to assign a security to these dashboards.
Thank you
Agni
I doubt that you can assign security to a dashboard in SEEP.
If you have access to a Web form, you can create/view a dashboard for webforms were that you have access too. So there is an indirect security connected with it.
Kind regards
Deker P.

OID contains all users belonging to a group and can be viewed correctly using DOHAD.
Users cannot connect to the portal WebCenter or any other application of the field gets initialized because JPS store does not.
However, the JPS store gets initialized for the administration server, users and group membership can be toured from the areas of security-> users and groups to the weblogic console window.
A few days ago the users connected to the webcenter content was not asigned no role.
WebCenter star in the field of content very well, Admin Server and store of JPS is initialized correctly, users and members of the group can be seen in areas of security-> users and groups to the weblogic console window.
This error started to appear a few days before, before that, everything was normal, and users could connect to the webcenter portal group for membership and get the OID and the privileges of JPS LDAP store.
Servers werer started first, using Nodemanager script to start the server administration, and after that the administrator of the booted server, console weblogic was used to start managed servers.
Is there a way to debug the JPS Store initialization?
Hello Amey
The indicator for OAM ID Asserter is required for single sign on functionality, whatever it is, the problem, seems to be communication with the DNS server, which makes a delay that could be verified using traceroute and ping commands.
This delay caused the connection failure to the OID server during initialization of JPS.
As a solution, thefully qualified hostname to OID server has been configured manually to the file/etc/hosts. After this change, JPS can be initialized correctly.
Howerver, that the log shows no time-out or any other exception during the initialziation, making diagnosis difficult to obtain.
Thanks for your help.

Dear members. I need your help please
I have a game I'm hosting at www.hiredforoneday.com
I signed the code with Comodo M/s. I wrote the manifest file (and changed so many times) but I still get the Oracle security warning:
"This application will run with unrestricted access, which can put your computer and personal information at risk.
Run this application if you trust the place and the editor above.
I'm must admit am bat / do not understand what I do.
Please I need your help on how to write the code manifest, how correctly put it in the jar and how to reference the html code
The game can be played online from www.hiredforone Day
I need the system clock of the client and also I used getResources() to read images in the jar file
on the site, I have a (Play) button. During a call to the play button, the index page connects to the file play.html which is located in the folder pots.
The file play.html calls the HiredForOneDay.jar file that is located in the folder of the pots. Files such as launch.jnlp, launch.html are all in the jarsfolder.My game using Cardlayout (CardLayOutClass) in the Applets init() the
cardLayoutClass.showCongratulationsPanel (); which shows the Congraculations class
then setJMenuBar (helpTopicSelector.getBar ()); HelpTopicSelector is also another class
Here is the code
[code]
package hiredforoneday;
/**
* @(#) HiredForADayApplet.java
** @author Ruth Bugembe
* @author John Bannick
* @version December 23, 2012
*/
@SuppressWarnings ("serial")
SerializableAttribute public class HiredForADayApplet extends javax.swing.JApplet {}
public static CardLayoutClass cardLayoutClass;
HelpTopicSelector helpTopicSelector;
@Override
@SuppressWarnings("static-access")
public void init() {}cardLayoutClass = new CardLayoutClass();
helpTopicSelector = new HelpTopicSelector (this);
Add (cardLayoutClass.getMainPanel (), BorderLayout.CENTER);
cardLayoutClass.showCongratulationsPanel ();
setJMenuBar (helpTopicSelector.getBar ());}
} [/ code]I didn't send in the manifest code because I did so many versions and now am confused
Thanks again for your time
Ruth
I don't think it's possible to prevent the warning message from appearing at least once. There could be an option 'do not show this again' on the dialog box warning that users can check to prevent it from appearing again. Codezone-the only thing I can think is to eliminate the dependency on the system clock client side so that the attribute in the manifest file permissions can be set to 'sandbox' rather than 'all rights '. You don't know if he read images from the same signed jar file still qualified under 'sandbox' - try it and see.
It is worth noting that other publishers Java RIA as the Knowledge Base for the Skillsoft Support are also facing the same issue, and they document simply as a relatively mild warning message.

Olá Pessoal, sou novo na comunidade, queria Saber is can me help.
Grato pela definition;
Bem Vindo,
Na truth nao e recomendado use LUN large not VMware pelo fato than quanto, maior a LUN, but maquinas tolls cabem, e virtual machine but quanto, maior a sole access nessa LUN that can cause shivers problema.
Neste caso, only uma Máquina go access essa LUN, o e seu backup server, data recovery. Problems of nao of vejo.

Oracle secure through RMAN backup?
Hi Experts,
We intend to implement Oracle Secure Backup using RMAN in one of our production database. What are the pre-requisties to RMAN for
Side BONES as well as side database?
Any quick suggestions can be enjoyed...

KumarHello
You can use RMAN to backup and restore using Oracle Secure Backup. But the following met prior to implementation.
1 RMAN needs to connect via pre-authorized user
2 OSB class of pre-authorized OSB user must have backup and restore rights
3. the OSB user's permissions must match those of the Oracle Instance.Please check all the foregoing...

Help, please.Hello again;
HP DDS - 4 40 GB C5718A cartridge has a player of compatibility of 40 DAT-DAT 72 tape drives.

HP StorageWorks is a DAT 72 tape drive.
Other bands work with this tape drive, that's why the credentials do not match.
But DAT 72 is the bottom line. (Not the case in one of my objectives are HP sales!)

Hello
I develop a cost report that should be only the data that are relevant to the attached Oracle security profile
the responsibility which the user running the report.
No idea how we can implement to take data dynamically according to the Oracle security profile in a PLSQL package.
Thank you
Sri.Data, are you referring to the people given?
If you use per_people_f in your query instead of per_all_people_f that will ensure data according to the safety profile of responsibility.
You can test this by SQL by running fnd_global.apps_initialize before executing your SQL statement.
Let me know if something is not clear!

Oracle Security Advisory Audit Q2
Hi all
My boss give me control of security check, read safety information from Oracle.
He wants me to post with our existing PROD database configuration.
Did you this security check in your PROD databases?
1.
- 1.1.1 to ensure that the following are not installed by default
- 1.1.1.1 space
- 1.1.1.2 OLAP
- 1.1.1.3 data mining
- 1.1.1.4 . real Application Testing
- 1.1.2 install not the sample schemas
How do you know if they have been installed by default? And how I uninstall them?
2.
- 1.1 do not allow remote OS authentication
Does that mean I can let local authentication OS?
In addition, we have a problem to hide passwords in batch job scripts.
And I suggested to the security officer to use OS authentication (I mean local)
But he he disapproves because for the above mentioned reason.
So can I reason with him that he misunderstood?
Thank you
zxy
Once again, if you have a specific problem / concern with previous notice, please ask a specific question. Ask 100 people in the hope that their environment is being something you do not want to copy is not particularly useful. All 100 could meet the standards you cite. And none of them can be adapted to your environment.
I haven't used human operators to run scripts nightly as part of batch processing in, well, never. In environments that I've been around, operators exist to monitor systems, calling people at opportune times when files do not appear, people call when errors or something is not happening timely. They shouldn't need to run scripts on a regular basis - they should have applications that can provide the information they need. If you plan to write a Perl script that is trivial to be too difficult for your organization, this model is unlikely to be useful for you.
I don't understand why the suggestions before using an Oracle wallet are not enough for you, so I don't really no way to offer additional suggestions.
