Select Insert in a table without duplicate line

Hi guys,.

I need to migrate the data from table A in the old schema in table B of the new scheme.
The two tables contain exactly a similar structure.
For example: table A have neck one and col b, table B col, col b
The two table has applied the unique constraint on A col, col B
Col B, col A

now, my intention is to insert, select into table B to table A.
If there is similar data in Table B, I want to keep the data in Table B.

Please, how do I design the query?

A solution would be

insert into b (select * from a minus select * from b)

    If your table has duplicate values, then you cannot add a UNIQUE constraint. In this case, you will need to use a roundabout way or remove duplicates before imposing the constraint. Hope it answers your question.

    Two standard methods to compare the tables are either to use DEFINED such as UNION, UNION operations or LESS.
    Or use a FULL OUTER JOIN.

    If the structure of the table is the same and that you want to compare all the columns, then set them operators are the best way.

    If you want to compare only on one or more columns and want to see the other columns, then a FULL OUTER JOIN is the best way.

    Here is an example

    select A1, A2,
      count(distinct sourcetable) cnt_tables,
      count(sourcetable) cnt_records,
      count(case when sourcetable = 'A'  then 1 end) record_is_in_A,
      count(case when sourcetable = 'B1'  then 1 end) record_is_in_B1,
      count(case when sourcetable = 'B2'  then 1 end) record_is_in_B2
   (select 'A' sourceTable, a.* from tableA a
    union all
    select 'B1' sourceTable, b1.* from tableB1 b1
    union all

    It is an example. It will show you the records that have duplicate data in the following tables.
    If you want to display all records that are in A but not in B1, you can add a few other checks.

  • JOIN the question... Join two tables without omitting lines

    I came across a problem that should be an easy fix (I hope), but I'm having a hard time to come up with a solution.

    Basically I have two tables, one with the actual amounts with the budget. I have to write a sql statement select that joins these tables together and includes all of their lines. I was able to join the tables by using JOIN, LEFT JOIN and RIGHT JOIN, but it always fails the lines I need.

    Below, I have examples of my tables (AMOUNT_TABLE and BUDGET_TABLE). For simplicity, I built the examples to show the same values in the first four columns, with the 5th and 6th columns (SUB_ACCOUNT, AMOUNT, BUDGET) as the only values that are different. My actual tables are not quite that simple, but I don't think it was relavent to this issue.

    Here's what I hope. Note that SUB_ACCOUNTs 0000, 1000, and 2000 show without budget amounts since there is not a corresponding line in the BUDGET_TABLE. And same for SUB_ACCOUNTs 5000 and 6000, they show budgets with no amount because there is not a corresponding line in the AMOUNT_TABLE.

    and I have a few table containing only 1 and sometimes 2 rows. When the load table.

    by default, the first line is selected, and I can't call a selection listener (by selecting a line by calling

    I removed the "SelectedRowKeys" property, so it will not automatically select 1st row loading,

    Insert only, I don't think it's possible.
    But you can ora_rowscn pseudo-column and scn_to_timestamp the user function to get the time when the table was modified last:

    You can simply set contentDelivery = 'immediate' and displayRow = "selected".

    I run a program that does a for loop 3 times.  In each loop, the data are collected for x and y points (10 in this example).  How can I output the table with 30 points in a simple 2D array (size 2 x 30)?

    Moreover, from the table, how to delete duplicate rows that contain the same value of x?

    Enable audit is not quite enough to get the details when the table is updated/inserted/selected.

    You must activate audting on the object level, then you may only be able to see your report of your choice.

    SELECT OBJ_NAME, ACTION_NAME, to_char (timestamp, ' dd/mm/yyyy, hh') of sys.dba_audit_object.

    Like I said it depends on in which the created table schema. Simply speaking
    (a) create table T (...);
    or
    (b) create table otherschema. T(...);

    Here is the completely different scenarios.
    Scenario b) is supported and is explained in my previous post.
    The scenario (a) is not directly supported (owner of a table can do something with it) and a workaround solution is explained in the post of JohnWatson.

    How to block a SELECT statement for a specified row in a table until willingness to engage occure?

    My procedure is part of a Stock request and if a user (X) get stock 1 piece, another user must wait for the user (Y) complete his reportoire.

    So, let say my stock have 10 pencils.

    When the X user starts the Stock_PLS procedure, in table Stock, line (e.g. R1) that user X should work with it, must be lock up to what the commit / rollback will appear.

    procedure Stock_PLS...

    Start
    ..
    pencils: pencils-1 =;
    ..
    End

    Observation-> pencils: = 9;


    This means that is a user there, run SELECT * stock of the table where rows_id = R1, SELECTION should wait the Stock_PLS started by user X will be completed (with commit or rollback) and his SELECT should return the value 9.

    What I need, is that Oracle has something like LINE EXCLUSIVE TABLE LOCK, but in my situation the SELECT statement should be denied on the specified lines, until the end of the procedure.

    You can achieve this using the update with the Select clause.
    You can write your select statement like this
    SELECT * from stock of the table where rows_id = R1 for update;

  • Why a whole page of rows in the table is duplicate in FrameMaker 10?

    I have a long table in one of my chapters in FrameMaker 10. The table is seven pages long, but a whole page of dollars of rows in the table is duplicated, if the table really should only be six pages long. The first four pages look like this:

    Page 1: Lines 1-7

    Page 2: Lines 8-16

    Page 3: Lines 8-16

    Page 4: Lines 17-28

    Headers and footers are completely unaffected. All the markers from index in the rows of the table are also doubled, so all of the Page 3 index markers are also appearing in the IX file. I've combed through the file on unresolved references, but I can't find. Also, if I insert a blank line in Page 2, all lines is duplicated is no longer. If I insist on the entire table, Page 2 does not seem to be highlighted. I can't select or change anything on the Page 2.

    I'm absolutely baffled why this is happening. A glimpse of what is causing this rowset ghosts to appear?

    Some ideas to play with:

    • Did you wash MIF file to clean small codes that may have been imported?
    • Have you checked the duplicate lines to check that they are defined in the body and not header?
