Select the items to include in the report

I have a requirment where I want to run a report for a single client and include several sections in the report from the selections of the user. for example I would have checkboxes for each Subscriptins more details, Notes, Contacts etc, and if the users checks only the subscription details and Contacts only these 2 sections displayed on the page or in the PDF file hsoule. Is this possible in OBIEE?

Is this something that can do BI Publisher?

Thanks in advance

I think it's possible, but it goes beyond the standard features of OBIEE. Using checkboxes will be the biggest challenge.

It could be done with OBIEE alone or with a combination of BLEEP and OBIEE.

Solution 1: OBIEE

-a response to writing deferred-activated
-HTML customized to render the checkboxes
-Javascript custom to send the value of the checkbox by the mechanism of the writeback (I did with select-drop-down lists, but have not tried with boxes to tick)
-a 'guided navigation trigger' answer for each checkbox
-a dashboard with all sections. each section is configured to GuidedNav and display the value based on the 'trigger' response

Here's how it works:

1. the user check the sections you want to display and click on a button
2. the button to perform writeback that updates a 'selection of the user' table in the database
3. "guided nav trigger' answers to query the table of 'the user's selection.
4 sections of the dashboard run responses of 'guided nav trigger' and show or hide the section based on the result
5. Dashboard displays only the selected section and the user clicks on the button print.

Solution 2 (probably easier): BI Publisher / OBIEE

BEEP - request might include fields in the "select" list that a section for the display of the flag. These fields would be received as parameters
Implementation model - BEEP would understand the logic of conditional display for each of the sections based on the value of the flag field
-Params field Pavilion would be completed by the boxes custom dashboard HTML/Javascript
Report - BEEP would be run through a URL with the params flag included
BEEP - report will show a link, or in an iFrame

    Directly from the Article in the Microsoft Knowledge base, please note that do the following changes "may make your computer or your network more vulnerable to attack by malicious software such as viruses." It's always a good idea to make a backup of your registry before editing. This can be done by clicking on file' export.

    In any case, as the article explains, open the registry and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Security. The security file must contain a registry key called XSLSecurityLevel. Mine did not have this registry key and I had to create it (see screenshot below). Double-click the XSLSecurityLevel registry key, type 1 in the data value, and then click OK.

    You should now be able to view the XML from Excel 2007 report. To reset this setting, simply double-click the registry XSLSecurityLevel key, enter 0 in the given value, and then click OK.

    I hope this helps!

    In the case of forms, you can add affect access to the user reading/writing/no access. Open the form add assign access-> user-> select user-> give the appropriate access.

    For the reports go to Navigate-> explore-> select the report-> right-click provisioning-> click on remove users-> selcet available user or group run Panel selected-> next-> access inherit-> ok.

I currently have the item in the list of selection and a report under him I wrote a sql that fills with data. If I choose an article in my select list, I want to change the data in my report. Write directly in the SQL report. Your select list item will be the variable in the SQL.

    Hello
    I get this error message sporadically and finally understood how to reproduce the error constantly. The problem occurs in a standard report using the SQL query (body of function from PL/SQL returning SQL query). I found several other posts stating the same problem like this: Re: report sorting limitation

    My example on apex.oracle.com is here: [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=23292:4:427533145943010:] with credentials of comments/example. Run the page 4. If you click on demo_customers and sort on credit_limit, and then click demo_users, you should get the error. If you click Debug, you will see the following text:

    0.07: determine column headings

    0.07: parse query as: WFU_CARS

    It seems that the ORDER BY clause is not set to zero? refreshing? When the source of the report is changed. Note that sorting on demo_customers on the column credit_limit column 11. When executing the query of demo_users, an ORDER OF 11.1 is added to the SQL statement.

    Any ideas how to solve this problem? Thank you!

    Lisa:

    You can reset the current so specifications whenever you build a new query for the report area. Thus, in the pl/sql that generates the report query, add this line of code just before returning the query string.

  • Import from another catalog - cannot select the catalog items

    I'm trying to merge a temporary catalog, I started on my laptop in my 'main' catalog - both are v5.7.1.  I exported the photos from my laptop in a directory on my NAS, including raw files.  I see the catalog so all the 5,000 or if raw files it.

    Next step - import catalog in my catalog 'main' - where the problem occurs.  I can't select all items in the catalogue - they have dimmed, and I can't click on it to select it.  See screen capture below:

    LR Catalog import err.png

    I have reason to believe that it is a matter of import rather than an export problem, because if I copy the exported catalog to a location not connected to the network and that you open in LR, I see pictures of 5000-ish.  I can't merge via import.

    I could really use a helping hand in this regard, because I spent a good bit of time, to the note of these files over the weekend, and I wouldn't just as quickly again.

    I wonder if this is due to the fact that the exported catalog (any one) resides on a network drive.  I tested this feature, last winter (Re: import / export of files between computers on a wireless network) and it works perfectly.  But LR will not allow the primary catalog be stored on a network drive, then maybe it is linked in a way that I find with my tests.

    I suggest to export a catalog little test with just a few pictures and place the catalog and photos on a locally connected drive.  If it works, this indicates a workaround solution that bothers.

  • Refresh the report area of PL/SQL (not Page) using the value of the select list

    Hello

    I have a report region based on a "body of the PL/SQL function returning a query'which SQL is generated on the selection of a value of an element from the selection list, select action list is"Redirect and set", but this causes the entire page refresh rather than just the region report." I tried to update the report using only a dynamic action on the item list select (Action now reset to 'None'), but now the report does not appear on the choice of the list. Can someone suggest a solution that will allow me to update this report without refreshing the page? I use APEX 4.2.2 and the syntax of the statement is as follows:

    DECLARE

    v_statement VARCHAR2 (500);

    BEGIN

    SELECT query_text
    IN v_statement
    OF sql_queries
    WHERE query_id =: P2_QUERY;

    RETURN v_statement;

    END;

    where P2_QUERY is Select list item,

    KevinFitz wrote:

    No, the region does not appear because it is subordinated to the P2_QUERY being NOT NULL. This means that the region of report never exists on the page displayed in the browser, so it cannot be updated dynamically. (Dynamic updating is not to evaluate the conditions of the region, and she makes only the content of the report, not the whole region again).

    Remove the condition on the region to report, check the update works and then go back on what exactly are the requirements here. If you want to the area appear only when P2_QUERY has a value, and you want it to be regenerated without submitting and reposting of the page, the region must then be hidden rather than conditionally restored and shown via dynamic when action P2_QUERY Gets a value.

    I tried to add a further Action for the event real value DA but has been a mistake, as stated above,

    All irrelevant if Page to submit items on the region is used correctly.

    After clicking the report button will display the data. Report structure: ID, COL1, COL2, COL3, COD values in COL1 is the links to the page 1011.

    I managed to pass the value of a column in the report, but how to pass the value of SLI this link?

    Use the exact static text substitution method to reference the value of the element. This requires an end point ('.) ») :

    &SLI.

    See my answer above!

    Here's what I did:

    • Created two hidden page items

    • Created a dynamic action on the page with three real actions. (1) set the item values page. (2) to execute code to update the plsql table. (3) update the region report

  • change the results of the report with the selection list using dynamic action

    This is one of those situations where if I could understand the appropriate search terms to use, someone else must have asked this question in the past.

    I have a report with a SQL query with a condition based on a list of selection on the same page. So I have a list of selection -: P177_FISCAL_YEAR

    My request for my report is:

    Select md_id, display_name, description
    of media_tbl
    where fiscal_year =: P177_FISCAL_YEAR

    When a person makes a selection on the selection list (: P177_FISCAL_YEAR), I would like to report up-to-date without having to submit the page. I was hoping that I could do something like this using a dynamic action but have not found a way to do it.

    Thanks in advance!

    Create dynamic Action:

    When
    Event: change
    Selection type: product (s)
    Article (s): P177_FISCAL_YEAR
    Condition: - unconditionally.

    Real Actions (add 2 real actions)
    -the first is to load the value in session state so that the report can see.
    Sequence: 5
    Action: execute the PL/SQL Code
    Code PL/SQL: null;
    Items to submit page: P177_FISCAL_YEAR

    Sequence: 10
    Action: Discount

  • List of selection in the report area. Everything is not in order...

    I want to have one item in a report from the region. The selected item in the list of selection of is the 'master' for records in the region. It worked very well, but after the removal of another region on the same page that the selection list is now displayed under the State rather than on the top of the report. I can't find a way to get back on top.

    In fact I can't find any attribute that determines what comes first in this situation. It is bad practice to use an item in a report region?

  • TextField display only when you select list = - 1 value in the report can be updated

    Hey guys! Only shortly after, find a solution for my last prblem (thank you), I have another that I find very interesting. In VBA it is not an agreement but in Apex is still something else.

    I have a report to be updated with a couple of columns, let's say column a, column b, column c. column a is from a LOV. Now I would like to show column b only if the value in column a is - 1. Of course, this must work individually for each line. Is there a method that works in Apex?

    I tried to declare a condition for the column 2 > > > value of element in the expression 1 = value in the expression 2.

    One article is in turn the LOV column i.e. APEX_APPLICATION. G_F02. This attempt does not work and never displayed in the column of the entire report.

    Do you have an idea how achieve this conditional display referring to another column?

    Best regards

    Sebastian

    Sebastian,

    OK, have a look here. Now, I didn't spend the time to make it perfect, so if you select the NULL option and save, you will see it as a real choice. It's just because you wanted to code based on '-1', so I had to put this value in the departments table.»

          }
       }

    </script>

    The first lines of your application, simply add jQuery. The following code uses jQuery to do what you are looking for. The trickiest part may be understand the references 'f10_' and 'f12_ '. All you have to do is to think of the query in the form of tables. The first column of the query will be f01, f02 the second and so on. Each of your items receives a unique id that is based on that, and those are the jQuery selectors that touches off this fact.

    It can be a little confusing at first, but take a look and let me know if you have any questions. Also, check out www.jquery.com for more information.

    Suma,

    If you try to generate a column with a URL, try something like the following:

    Select the key, num,
    -case when Attachmentcnt (KEY). = 0 then
    ' f ? p = & APP_ID.: 91: & SESSION. : "": NO::P91_KEY, P91NUM, P91_PREVPG:'
    || tableA.key | ',' || tableA.num | ',' || : P91_PREVPG
    Another null
    end
    FROM tableA;

    But the best way to spend these would include values of checksum against the values of your parameters (to ensure that a user is not hack them). You will need to check the manual of the Apex for more details - see "Understanding Session State Protection".

    Good luck
