  I went through and applied tags to hundreds of images, with a respective hierarchy as well. As long as bridge remains open and turned on my computer I have access to sort and find files based on keywords.

  'Closing bridge': and all the keywords are missing from the keyword pane, with the exception of a few who are present with bridge as examples that are always there.

  I can re - select all images and keywords will load again in the keyword pane, but that takes time to manage.

  It's like some preferences file does not play, or key words are not saved in the keywords pane. I loaded this app from Photoshop CS4 again.

  One person suggested I go to preferences and UN-click 'Keywords read hierarchy' then open all my image files and even once, click on the pictures to reload the keywords in the keyword pane again. Then return to the preferences and re - click Read hierarchy of the keywords again, and everything to be in order. I did twice, once with starting point before clicking the RHK button again.

  Yet after two years of Bridge CS4, I can't use this function to search for images.

  And Yes, I select a folder or installation disk for bridge to look for key words.

  After all this time, someone to solve the riddle of trying to make this work. I can't update my Mac. I have a PowerPC, Quick Silver, 2002 G4 1000 double. 10.4.11 is the latest operating system, I believe that I can use.

  Are you italicized keywords?  If so, they are temporary and will go away when the bridge is closed.  They will repopulate when the image is open.

  If this is the case right click on the keyword and choose 'make persistent '.

  After making your changes in Camera Raw, select Save new Camera Raw default from the menu drop-down (or however it's called in the German version). This will automatically apply these settings to all your raws shot with this particular camera

• Bridge CS4 - search using keywords?

  I know how to add keywords in Bridge CS4 and I know how to search for files using these key words,

  but the way I'm looking to write a key word letter-by-letter. Is it possible to get a drop down menu

  or something like that, where I can select a keyword in a list, so that I don't have to write the key word?

  If you try to use a keyword you can do a right click on the keyword in the keyword Panel and then choose just find it.  That will eliminate having to type in it and be fooled.

• Bridge CS4 and blank template of metadata

  Hi - I tried to find something similar, but did not find anything that matched what I live.  I have CS4 & bridge loaded on my desktop (Win XP) and laptop (Vista).  I don't have problelms applications running on one of the machines.  However, if I try to create a new metadata template, dialog box appears, but the section should include various metadata options is empty. The option box to show only the full metadata fields is checked, but UN-ticking it adds nothing either.  The indicator 'number of fields listed' in the dialog = 0 (which is correct, neither showing). This happens on the desktop and the laptop (so it's not specific to XP vs Vista) and reset prefs doesn't change anything - I have tried several times.  Bridge CS4 recognizes the metadata model, I did for CS3 and allows me to put up-to-date - but don't not to create a new.

  Any ideas or suggestions as to why this might be and how to fix?

  CR is not sold separately.  It is integrated into some adobe programs.

  You can use the dng converter.  they are free from adobe, but don't fit in the programs.

  I could download my RAW files, until I upgraded to El Capitan and now my Bridge CS4 can not detect my Nikon D800, I'm always on CS4, but until a month or two ago, it worked perfectly. I have the latest version of the Camera RAW software, too. Any suggestions?

  CS4 software will not work under El Capitan (Mac OS X 10.11). The software is too old and will never be updated, because it is the end of life.

  You need to restore a previous version of the operating system or upgrade Adobe Creative Cloud.

  • It depends on what kind of work you do.
  • You can get rid of Photoshop elements 11, but I think you should keep the other application where you need it.
  • Adobe Bridge is the kind of an organizer.
  • The extension manager is used to install plugins adobe or third, but 4 CS is old enough, the most recent version is CC

  I think you can get rid of them, once you make sure you don't need those for your work.

  Have you tried to rename it with the appropriate extension? put the .jpg and regardless of your extension file format raw back on the file.

  Well, Yes and no. You can use bridge CS4, but you can not update the raw converter, then you will not be able to see the pictures or make conversions from cameras raw files that are not old enough. But the bridge file types associations should automatically update to send pictures on PES 12 for editing.

  However, although I'm not a fan of the Organizer, is, there is something in your message which can be a misunderstanding:

  all my photos are in double XI the Organization

  The Organizer is just a database. It contains no pictures at all and the only time where only he never copy a picture without more precisely said to do is whent you import a picture from iphoto library, and then he does this to avoid writing in the iphoto iphoto library to the outside, which is a very bad thing to do. You should not use the bridge on your iphoto library, either.

  Your CR2 files the 60 d are not supported for your version of ACR.

  Each provider uses different kind of Raw and sadly enough they also use another type of crude oil for every new camera produces. Adobe offers a free upgrade for the cameras, about 3 or 4 times a year. In the past, that they could not get new types of Raw earlier while consumers so often that meant you had to wait a long time before the ability to ACR was there. Today, they have a better relationship and often get pre model of production for the updates are already there when new cameras are entering the market.

  However being a commercial company, they don't offer upgrades for others then the latest versions of Photoshop and ACR. Currently, CS6 and CC are both get updates but the previous version don't are not updated any longer.

  Another option is available, and it is the free Adobe DNG converter. The latest version is here:

  You would need 11 PSE to open these files directly in the PSE. Your options are:

  1. use DPP.

  2. download the free DNG Converter and allows to convert your raw files dng files that your version of the raw converter can open:

  3. upgrade to 11 PES, but that won't help at all.

• Bridge CS4 image previews are too small

  In Bridge CS4, can't do the preview images to show something larger than a large thumbnail view, see the image below.  I tried all the preferences in the Edit menu (miniatures for example: do not treat more game to 10 000 MB files, cache options are keep 100% previews in cache export checked/automatically cache files when the size slider possible checked / cache is set to 50%, rendering software saw size of monitor checked/unchecked/generate checked).  None of these options change anything for the size of the preview image.  I have a XOC DX10.1 ATI Radeon HD4890 1 GB, so my video card is not the issue.  I am running Windows 7 Ult x 64 on ASUS P8P67 Deluxe with 16 GB of RAM and over 2 TB of HARD drive space. So my system should not be a problem either.  Here are examples of work images that have been installed with Illustrator cs4.  How can I increase the size of these images?

  Also, these images are showing everything in the image of the AI, not individual images in each file.  How to show individual images in each file HAVE as if they were separate pictures, like Illustrator?

  

  I don't know anything about the .ai or Illustrator files.  But I think would be it has something to do with how IIlustarator saves the file.  Look to see if there are other options.  As can a test you convert the .ai to another form and see the evolution of the size of the thumbnails?
