• How to select specific pages of a document in PAGES?

  How is it possible that I have to go these problems to print specific pages in a document using a Mac.  I just want to scream!  My only options are to print 'ALL' or 'FROM' that correspond to a range.  For example... in a 10 page document, I can print OF page 5-8.  I don't want to print a range!  I want to print pages 2,4,7.

• Cannot select items on the page except on the specific layer

  I'm having a very strange problem in Fireworks CS5. I can't select something on my page unless I go and find the appropriate layer and select this layer. Then only, the elements of this layer will be available for selection.

  I looked through the preferences and there is no option for this market. It's terribly disturbing to my workflow. Anyone has this problem or knows how I can fix this problem?

  Looks like a case of simple Edit Mode.

  In the layers panel, on the far right, click the icon in the properties panel. In the list of context properties of Panel make sure you that single layer editing is switched off.

  You just bought a new LJ MFP M177 ColorPro works with a Mac in Mac OS 10.6. I want to print specific pages in the HP manual that came with the installation diskettes. No matter what page numbers I can print, they never match the screen pages in this manual. The exit appear to be pages just randomly and not even close to what I said. Ex: I want to print pages 30 to 39 for a total of ten pages. I'm home pages 21 to 26 instead, judy pages 5. There are many other examples of this type of error.   I go to the screenshot and indicate the pages I want to print typing in the screenshot where it says them print pages from... to... and then I select print.  The screen on the left side is obviously not to the right on the first page of the sequence, I selected either.  HOW to choose the correct pages so I can print this manual?

  Someone suggested that I count the first pages of the table of contents and this number adds the print range. I did it and it worked. So thanks for your help...

  With Windows 8 How do I print a specific page or pages and not all this? When I'm in the email and go to devices, there is no option to do so.

  Make CTRL-P and select your printer.  Then go to the box that says all Pages open, and then select custom.  Enter the pages in the format x - y, where x = homepage and y = page end and tell it to print.

  This is not an option in Windows 8.  There is no area for all Pages.  I looked in all the boxes and there is no custom either option.  You cannot select which pages to print.  It is such a waste of paper and ink cartridge.  I hope that there is a free update for Windows 8 that will solve this problem.

• Is it possible to add a button that will open an attachment to a specific page in its own window?

  PDF1 is a user's guide.

  PDF2 is a test plan document.

  I want to include the possibility for the reader in PDF2, open the guide of the user to a specific page (topic) if they need to access detailed information about a test item.

  In order to ensure that the PDF2 player has the user's guide, I thought I want to implement an attachment under PDF2 PDF1.

  By browsing the ' net, I found that I can add a 'link' (rectangular clickable area) on PDF2 which, when clicked, will open PDF1 in its own window to a specified page number. GREAT!

  But... what I want to do is to place a * key * on the PDF2 (with a tag) who will perform this task (open PDF1 to a specified page in its own window). However, I am getting lost and does not know how to do this (or if this can be done at all).

  Then... I thought about it (of course, * after * post the question.) Sigh) and given that the post is now here forever, I thought I should share my solution, for what it's worth.

  In PDF2, with PDF1 included as an attachment:

  1. Rich Media > Add button.
  2. Button to place on the page.
  3. Open the properties of the button (double click or right click > properties).
  4. Click the Actions tab.
  5. Select the Action, select go to a page view.
  6. Click Add...
     (This opens her create go to view dialog box.)
  7. Double-click on the attachment (PDF1).
  8. In the attachment, scroll to the desired page.
  9. In create go to view dialog box, click on connect.
  10. In the Properties dialog box, click Close.
  11. Reopen the Properties dialog box, go to the Actions.
  12. In the action pane, click "Go to a page in another document" (the action that I had set earlier).
  13. Click on change.
  14. In the target Document section, select 'New window' field.
  15. Click OK.
  16. Click Close.

  When you add a bookmark, it takes by default the current page and the view (zoom, scrolling). If you want to link to a location in another document, after you have created the bookmark, select it, right-click, then select Properties, then select the Actions tab remove the default action and add a new type of "Go to a page view". When you are prompted with the dialog box "Create go to View", open the other document and go to page set the view (zoom, scrolling) you want and then click on the Set"" button. When you distribute the files, make sure that they retain the same folder structure. This is done much easier if all PDF files are in the same folder.

  My pdf source has ~ 700 references and I need to create a link to each reference (target format PDF).  There are hundreds of files PDF target and the source document refers to different pages in each of the target PDF files.  PDF target files must contain the entire document and not just the cited pages.  What I do is create a link and selecting open a file.  What I'm able to do, is give a page number to this link so that a page instead of page 1.  I understand that you can set the initial view with file properties, but that will not work as I would then have to create a PDF for each link, and there are far too many references to do.  Here is a sample of 'Reference to p. 2, 4' 6, and in this example, I want a separate link for each reference that will go to page 2, and page 4 page 6 (again once I need the entire document for the purposes of these links and not these specific pages of reading).

  Keep in mind that the page numbers are zero DSO, so that the first page is 0, and the tenth is 9, etc.

  Your script can check which check boxes are selected and issue a statement print for the range of pages. You can create a button, perhaps titled "print pages" and include the script in the mouse event to the top of the button.

• When you use print selection in Firefox 12.0, it prints whenever the selection is on the page (on paper) instead to the top of the page (in paper).

  When you try to use the print selection, printing starts in the location it starts as on the web page.
