Selection of color CC DW - color standard chart tools?

Hello

I just started using Dreamweaver CC.  I read the book CBWMS digital classroom.  When the instructions in the book like me to go into designer of CSS and set a color or a background color, the book made it sound like if I click on the color chart in CSS designer, I should be presents a selection over base colors or standard.  Instead, I am presented with a selection tool that allows me to click on a gradient that allows me to choose among all the possible colors.  It is therefore difficult for me if I want to stick to the basic colours or standards.  Is there a setting in DW CC that controls this behavior.

Thanks in advance,
Paul

The color selector has been updated in Dreamweaver CC (version 13.1). More, there is a standard color swatch.

I have a ThinkPad W530 with color sensor and Pantone color standard. It has worked very well since I got the computer brand new for more than a year. Since last week, my color Stallion did not launch when I click on the notification "ThinkPad display must be postponed. I have the rotation icon, but it disappears after a few moments. I tried to do a restore and selected a time point before I think it happened. But the system refuses to return to this restore point, because he "can not find a file." What the? I have not deleted all files in system folders, I can't believe that one of my automatic updates has this screwed up. Of course, the message doesn't tell me what * kind * of file is missing.

  • Need help in selecting the color in the image and use it in other images.

I have about 10 photos of a drawing/character but the color is not consistent. How to select a color in the first drawing and then use that same color in all the

drawings so that he is there not differences in images?

On one of the drawings, use the eyedropper tool.

You can select the color of different sample sizes, 1-pixel average of 101 x 101.

And then double-click the color in the Color Palette and add it to your color chart.

    Name your new shade.

    Voila.

  • Select the color of bitmap images or grayscale in InDesign CC 2015.4

    Hi all

Since InDesign CS1, I'm used to be able to import levels of grayscale or bitmap graphics, and then select the color in InDesign.

I just had to choose the "Direct Selection" tool, click on the graphic and select another color.

Since InDesign version CC 2015.4 it no longer works.

    No workaround is it available?

    Thank you

    Hi Robin,

This is a bug with InDesign CC 2015.4.
To set the end of August.

So far, you could always leave the preview overlay mode on.
So the bug is not visible.

  • Cannot select the color of gray background

When I use the eyedropper tool to select the color of gray background with illustrator he defined that as the color of the shape it makes some weird greenish gray color. The box in the screenshot should be the same color as the background, but it is not.

    Colorguide fail2.PNG

After spending some more time troubleshooting, I found the solution. It was indeed a problem with the color on my computer management. I had, some time ago, set up a second display screen, but it turned off because need to concentrate on two monitors always has been disrupting my work flow. One was on a digital input, the second was on an analog input. Although I disabled the other monitor on my computer display settings, color management profile was still set to analog display, and so it was the analogue display on a digital input. I disconnected the second monitor completely and made sure color management profile has been set to digital. Now, all the colors are correct as well as profiles of colors on Illustrator.

Thank you all for your time and your help.

    Hi JanelleA18,

I think that what is happening because your default image is grayscale. To change this, go to Image > Mode and select RGB.

Please let us know if it helps.

  • How to select a color printer profile in Lightroom.

I have a couple of profiles of color icc printer installed in Windows, and I can see them in the color management module. In Lightroom, when I want to print to a jpeg file, and then select the color management, I get a few choices but not the profiles that I installed. If I choose ONE, I'm supposed to see a list of my other profiles, but do not see. What can I do? I deleted and reinstalled the profiles, but that does not change. Yjamks.

LR doesn't show you what profiles are installed on your computer.

Under LR / Print / print / profile: click the other...

On the popup put a check mark in the display profiles include at the bottom and you should see a list with boxes to tick, that you can select.

If you do not see this, then make a print screen and show us what you see by including this print-screen in a message, here.

I think there are a lot of other profiles in the example above, because the user providing screenshots has also installed Photoshop that installs a certain other profiles.  If you have installed LR there that many others, but I expect to see the RGB those you already have visible with check marks next to them already.

  • Cannot select a color

    Hi, I'm new to CS5.   I'm using a MacPro version 10.6.8.

I tried to draw something on a blank page with a brush, but I can't get the brush color change by selecting a color from the color picker.  I chose red and green, but they appear just like different shades of gray.

    Appreciate any help.

    Thank you

Check the mode of document under Image > Mode and see if using RGB color.

Make sure that your do not paint on a layer mask or meet a selected channel or you're not in quick mask mode.

  • Book Module Lightroom 4 - can - I use a color picker to select a color in a photo to use as the backg

I'm trying to match a background color of a page in a Blurb book using the book of Lightroom 4 Module.  Is there a way that I can use the color picker to select a color in the photo to use as color for the background and the type of color?  I see the color box for these situations, but the color picker doesn't seem to work with the range of color that appears and wrong to the photo.  Any suggestions?  I forget something very obvious?

    It works for me.

The usual way to Lightroom: click the eyedropper in the palette of colors first, then hold and drag to your photo to the color of the sample.

  • How can I control the selection highlighting colors attributed to layers?

When new layers are created in the layers panel, they are on a default selection highlighting colors. The color for each new layer changes, sequencing with a list of color options. For my personal use, if there is lighting in my office and work, I work with, I find about 75% of the color options to be unusable. In fact, the only definition of color that always works for me is 'Green' (the third option from the top of the list). I work with many layers on each project and I find myself change each layer to Green by hand. Y at - it an option to set the default highlight color for each new layer of a single color rather than go through the list? I looked through all the options that I could find throughout Illustrator without seeing it.

Create all your layers, select the first layer, hold down the SHIFT key, select the last layer, then double-click to edit all layers to one.

Or create a template with your layers/names/colors you want and save on a format of model commandeer.
