Send fax by Fax in Windows 7

I am eager to implement the ability to send faxes via my computer instead of going to the fax machine, located in another room.  This fax machine is a network printer/fax - Sharp B402SC MX to be precise.

I tried to go through the steps with the network for fax address and either I did not get the right address or I go about it the wrong way.

Also, I want to assure you that I won't be able to receive faxes except perhaps a confirmation, if this is possible.
Since I'm not the only person who uses this fax - I just want to fax our and receive the confirmation page that she has been sent successfully.

So, to make sure that I got the correct network address for fax machine - where can I get this information?

Thank you.

Ahh, that's my problem - I try to use the Windows fax software.  So, to use this program, I must be directly plugged into the fax machine.

If I can't connect directly in it, is there another program I can use to send faxes over the network?

N ° Fax is a telephone technology.  There are services of fax who can fax over the Internet, but they need to register and pay a fee.

Thanks to the high of fax, you do not have to "be connected directly to the fax machine."  If your place of work permits and the Sharp is connected to a telephone line for faxing, you just install the Sharp fax driver.

    My printer was working fine on Win XP and I could fax directly from the printer or the computer.  I installed 8 32-bit Windows (I am under an older system that works very well for everything that I use it for - thank you very much) and downloaded the latest driver for HP large & software for Win 8 32-bit.  Everything works perfectly, except for the computer fax.

    If I run the test of the printer fax, the fax test PASSES.  If I run the test fax from the computer, the fax test PASSES.

    If I put documents into the feeder of the printer and use the features of fax printer, it Fax beautifully.

    It's only when I fax from the computer, the screen appears with the status of the queue, then state turns to cancelled each time.

    He has always worked on Win XP.

    The FAX and FAX printer driver for the printer-FAX appeared in Control Panel automatically when I installed the HP drivers/software update.  All the properties of the FAX printer seem good.

    I tried a usb connection and a connection of network ethernet, with the same results.

    Printing and scanning all work fine.  I really like this printer and I love it even more if I could figure out how to get by fax a document from the computer.

    When I say fax from the computer, I mean opening a document saying print, select Fax - HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910, filling the page of information by fax, selecting my cover page options and press send fax.  Everything like I used to do it before I upgraded to Win 8.  When I hit send fax, it is when I get the popup that fax is in queue, then it goes to cancelled.  No error codes are displayed, no clue as to why, no nothing.  If I print the document and put it in the printer tray I can using display printer fax without problem.

    Very weird.

    Well, I spoke with some of the engineers, and they suggested next steps. First of all, here's a thread on a forum of MS on the removal of an alternate driver.

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730875.aspx

    Another thing to note is that in Win8, you can easily access the command prompt by pressing the windows key and typing "command prompt".

    In addition, I will PM you walk a few others on the removal of the remains of the software from the back-end of your PC. To be sure, you will need TO follow these instructions to the letter.

    Do these two things and let me know what happens after the installation of the printer again since the direct download link I already provided above.

    Let me know and have a great day!

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8625: Update was downloaded now, when I hit print I get 'Send Fax, HP OfficeJet Pro 8620' window

    My HP OfficeJet Pro 8625 newly purchased printer was printing fine until I downloaded an update online. Now when I try to print I get the "Send Fax - HP OfficeJet Pro 8620" window. I have not selected the correct option on the update. I do not use nor I set up the fax on my computer or a printer. How can I fix this problem?

    Hello

    In Control Panel, select devices and printers.

    Right-click on the printer 8620, and then select set as default printer.

    Select the printer listed without 'Fax' in its name and confirm.

    The application used to print as if sure you select the print queue that does not include 'Fax' in its name.

  • Send faxes of Dell Inspiron 15R laptop computer running Windows 8

    This laptop is not equipped with a modem. Which modem would you recommend for me to send and receive faxes with Windows 8 operating system? I have a dedicated line for faxes that I used with my previous desktop and internal modem conexant.

    Thank you. Grandon

    Hi Grandon,

    Yes, I fear that internal modems have gone the way of the floppy. What you need is an external fax modem that plugs into a USB port. I have no experience with those so I can't guarantee their reliability. An alternative would be a MFP with fax service.

  • HP Send Fax cannot connect

    I have a 276 MFP connected via a network and using Windows 7 64 bit.

    I can print, remote scan, access to information through the device HP Toolbox and can test the printer. I do not use a firewall on my computer. When I try to use HP Send Fax it tells me that I can't communicate with the printer.

    Someone at - it solve this problem?

    I can send by fax machine. I can remote scan, I can save a scan to a network folder. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. Nothing works.

    I emailed HP customer care and they have quickly closed the case without doing anything just to preserve their statistics. So there is no need to contact them directly. Hoping someone has the solution here.

    Discovered that IE11 was the problem. Once we removed it that has solved the problem with the fax.

    We use an Officejet 6310 all-in-one printer. Computer of my wife, a laptop Toshiba Satellite Windows 7 Professional, has suddenly come to the point that it will no longer send faxes from the computer screen. We get an error message that something must be installed or reinstalled. We have lost the CD of the software provided with the printer. Hi GregsterMc,

    Given that the Fax icon is not displayed in the window of printers and devices, you need to uninstall and reinstall the software again. This should solve the problem.

  • Send fax with several pages programmatically

    Using c# and .net 3.5 I try to send a fax using Windows Fax and Scan on windows 7, if the document has 1 page it works fine, but if the document has more than one page, it generates an invalid tiff file that cannot be read/sent, also if I send the docuemtn on a normal printer It works correctly, so I think there is a problem with .net or fax and scanning

    I have a form with a richTextBox that contains a lot of text and a PrintDoument.
    to print the word
    printDocument1.Print ();
    and the documents PrintPage event handler looks like:
    Private Sub printDocument1_PrintPage (ByVal sender As Object, e of PrintPageEventArgs)
    {
    Print the contents of the RichTextBox. Store the last character printed.
    checkPrint = richTextBoxPrintCtrl1.Print (checkPrint, richTextBoxPrintCtrl1.TextLength), e;

    Find out more about pages
    If (checkPrint< richtextboxprintctrl1.textlength)="">
    e.HasMorePages = true;
    on the other
    e.HasMorePages = false;
    e.Graphics.Flush (FlushIntention.Sync); It makes no difference.
    }
    the if variable checkPrint initialized on the BeginPrint event handler, I'm doing something wrong?

    It depends on your version of Vista, as to if you have Fax software installed.

    The home versions have no Fax software.

  • Fax through Windows Server 2008 R2 Std issues.

    Help!  I get "Fatal errors" faxing as well as "send faxes with the help of the selected printer, you must first create a fax account".  messages.  These two happen to Windows 7 Professional PC Fax via a Windows Server 2008 R2 Std fax server.  Unrecoverable errors are somewhat contradictory, but rather ordinary, but the "must first create the account" error whenever a workstation.

    On the workstation "must first create the account", it actually sends the fax but the error is misleading for the user.  I removed the fax services in Control Panel, the Windows on the desktop features, rebooted, removed the server account, restarted the server, fax services added the services of fax to the workstation, rebooted, reconnected to the fax server and get always the same message.
    On the workstation "Fatal error", I tried tweeking with the settings of the modem (flow control, modem speed, etc.), but still not that problem.

    I hesitate on the removal of the fax from the server server role that I have more than a dozen represents the sending and receiving of faxes by him now.
    Someone has any suggestions, and if I do not remove the Fax Server since the Windows Server 2008 role when I add I get the same settings as before?
    Thank you.

  • How can I send faxes on HP Pavilion P7-1439?

    Which modem should I use on my HP Pavilion P7-1439 windows8, so I (can send faxes? or how to send with installed hardware?)

    Your desktop HP Pavilion p7-1439 does not come with an installed phone modem. If you want to send faxes on your land phone line, you must purchase and install a PCIe x 1 56 K V.92 modem on your computer. You can also use a service of email-to-fax for fax delivery. This service may be free or may cost money.

  • HP 1536dnf: M1536dnf cannot send faxes from charger only from glass.

    I can't send faxes to high feeder if I place the fax on the glass. Message I get is always "the fax storage" and the makers of fax to be sent. Updated firmware to date with no solutioin.

    Welcome to the HP community @perlfather,

    I read your message on the message "memory fax" you're noting on your LaserJet M1536dnf and no faxing. I suggest you power reset of the printer and to make sure that the printer has a connection directly to a wall jack, avoiding power bars and surge limiters.

    • Turn on the printer.
      With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
      Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
      Wait at least 15 seconds.
      Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
      Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
      If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
