Send link/page by e-mail

I am using windows 7 64 bit with Ie 8 options under the "page" drop-down send this menu page and send a link by e-mail are grayed out. How can I make them work?

It is gray because he does not know what e-mail program to use so it cannot provide the option.  Go to Tools / Internet Options / programs / Set program / computer and configure default programs / double-click Custom and go to the selection of email and select your e-mail program and check and allow access.  Click OK.  This should provide a default mail for IE program and options for send mail should no longer be gray.  If this does not work, go back to set programs and choose set default programs and select your e-mail program and choose to make the default program for all the options that you choose.  Then try again.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

    Hello

I think you have to the default configuration by email first means that you can use only 1 account, Gmail or Yahoo, not both. In my case I use Outlook as my default e-mail client/agent, so when I click on "Send link" repel open my Outlook as shown:

My suggestion is to open a window Live account and you can use Internet Explorer to send links through this account without any required expansion.

Windows 8 doesn't let me send a link to the page by e-mail. In Vista, it's easy, click just to the right, click on send link by e-mail and it used my e-mail program, no problem. Not the case with Windows 8 and Windows Live Mail. If I right click on the page, it evokes a box that has "email with Windows Live", which seems to be the right choice, but it just takes me to a connection to Microsoft, the same one that I use to get in these forums. How the * is that it will get to my email? I don't have a login to my email. I use a shortcut on the lower tray to open it. You're talking about not intuitive. Why can't they just leave things alone? No one at Microsoft ever heard the expression "if it is not broken, don't fix"? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

When you click on this link send by email, you will be directed to the Outlook.com site where you can complete the action to send the link.

Outlook.com is the new interface to all living products, including Hotmail and Live Mail.

To connect just type your email address and password. The send email window will open and you can enter the e-mail address of the recipients and send the email.

  • Send a page or link

When I send a page or a link it becomes not active for the other person that I'm emailing.

How to activate my e-mail program send living links etc. When send a web page, etc.

    Thank you.

Normally, it is something that is a function of the recipient.  Try it yourself by e-mail a copy and see if the links are clickable, when you receive.  It may be something on their end.

If this isn't the case, then what e-mail you program use.

  • I'm running Windows 8 and I would like to "send > link by e-mail" of Internet Explorer 10

I'm running Windows 8 and I would like to "send > link by e-mail" of Internet Explorer 10.  His option was released as is gray "send > Page by e-mail."  My client messaging on Windows 8 says simply "Mail".  I don't know if it's different from "Windows Live Mail".  Everything I see in the forums says I have to choose "Windows Live Mail" as my email client.  I found that "Windows Live Mail" part of Windows Essentials.  So, I don't know if the "Mail" client is the same as "Windows Live Mail" and there is another problem with me being not able to "send > link by e-mail," or if I need to install "Windows Essentials" in order to get the "Windows Live Mail".  Also, FYI, I am able to send a link by e-mail to Firefox and it uses my client "Mail" in Windows 8.

    Split of another thread

Right-click on the page, E-mail with Windows Live.

An outlook.om compose the page opens with the address of the page in the body of the message.

You should highlight the address and make it a link.

The icon of the letter is in the toolbar of the control.

It opens with an e-mail program.  Mine opens Windows Live Mail.

  • send a Web page by e-mail

I want to share a location of Web site by e-mail while I'm on Firefox. How do I do that?

Firefox has a "Send link" feature but it is not in the menu or the toolbar when you install Firefox. You can add it using the personalization feature. This article describes how to open the Customize dialog box where you can drag the email link icon to the menu or toolbar: controls customize Firefox, buttons, and toolbars.

You can also find it in the classic menu bar. If you do not usually display that bar (file, editing, display,...), you can display it temporarily by pressing the Alt key or by pressing the F10 key. Then, check the menu file for email link.

If you have not yet installed Firefox to connect to your e-mail application or mail site, you should get a dialog box with choices. If your email application or mail site is not listed, please post back with more information on what you want to use to send the message.
