  There is no hyperlink tru object in Captivate as such.

  You can use a button or click box to provide users with an interactive object that when you click on will call a URL or a document.

  However, this is not really you give a substitution effect of mouse than the way users are accustomed to seeing in normal web hyperlinks.

  If you really want to add a piece of text of the hyperlink screen (with substitution effect) for a Captivate project, the closest, you will come to is this widget: http://www.infosemantics.com.au/hyperlink

  Hello - I hope someone may be able to help.

  I created a video showing a person who speaks. I wish to place text captions (not closed captioning) on top of the video the person pays important points.

  Unfortunately, the text of the legend is being hidden by the video.

  If I move the text caption to make it half on top of the video and half not on top of the video, I see half of the text caption appear at the right time (half that isn't on the top of the video).

  Is it possible to have the text caption appear on top of the video?

  You can do with the Slide video to be the order lowest in the slide and text captions to be first-rate.

  Take a look at the snapshot and try this order. Let us know if it works the way you wanted it to work.

  I have a XY Chart with its legend of cursor defined as visible.  Changing the name of plot based on the string that I sent to her property node, but I don't know how to upgrade his parcel of the cursor name?  Cursor is aligned on the plot, but nothing regarding parcel of cursor name.  Could someone help me please?

  Here's a hint: I've found that if I switch the Cursor Mode from 0 to 1, then the cursor name changes.

  Is it possible to add different captions under pictures in the galleries web html in LR 3.6?

  I want to name the different bird species in the same Gallery, but only seem to be able to add the text of the caption for each image.

  Is there a way to get around this or am I missing something?

  The problem is that the legend IS NOT change the text of the caption, if it runs on THE SERVER. If I change it to run it on the client (for example, Acrobat 9, PDF overview of LC Designer) it does not work.

  Set your renderAtClient on no. or false (I don't know the specific parameter). If you leave it in auto, then you allow the form to decide (form properties/Deafults). If the form is dynamic, then by default it will render to the client and not the server.

• Variable in the text of the legend in Html5

  I try to view the contents of a variable on a slide, so I use a text caption.  It works fine on my PC, but on the iPad, where it uses Html5, only the initial value of the variable is displayed. I tried to delay when shown in legend to give it time to take up the variable but in vain.

  If not, is there another way I can get information in the variable out Captivate 8, for example to email it or something?

  OK, got it.  That helped me to see what was going on.

  I was adding a backslash to the variable.  That, apparently, has the sense in html 5.

  When I changed it is the space of the backslash, the editor then put quotes around it.  Now it's working.

• PC InDesign CS3, lose the text to the return line cursor

  For some strange reason the ball, I have problems with the text tool. I usually select the text tool and draw a rectangle to start typing something.

  When I hit the key return to start a new line the cursor disappears leaving the red box down on the right. I can click that and start a new box to retrieve the cursor and start typing again. I'm trying to find a way to stop this and have just the cursor go to the next line.

  I checked the leader and that seems fine. text 12 pt, pt 14 leading. I don't know what to do.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Laptop? What do I do? Could be that your return key brings a frame instead of a new paragraph break. Whatever your configuration, it switches to another and try again. Check your keyboard shortcuts for frame breaks and line breaks. If not a laptop, try the other return/enter key.

• Captivate output 9: the legend text is cut off

  I publish a course "for devices", a sensitive project. In some cases, my text on screen, placed in the text of the legend, is cut according to the size of the viewport. I hope that the text would rather than cut across. Regardless of the browser or the device - is the same. On each of the three sizes different default (from office, portrait of mobile tablet portrait), I fixed the text to fit. In the view of the office, I had my bounding box where I want and say that the font size is 24. According to the portrait of Tablet, I have slightly modified the framework encompassing and also changed the font size, let's say 16.

  If a browser window is between one of these formats, the text is truncated and sometimes words are missing or cut off showing only a part of the letters. I looked on the blogs and I googled all out.

  Does anyone else have this problem? Do I need to add provisions to display additional window for these intermediate sizes in order to minimize the probability of that happening? Or is it a setting I'm missing? I'm doing something wrong or is this a bug?

  You must DESELECT Autosize captions!

  With respect to the position properties, I would set the width in % and the height to Auto. Which should force the fixed aspect ratio.

  The user moves the cursor and plot values are shown in the legend but I want to avoid the user to remove the existing cursor or create a new one using the legend of cursor.

  A way to hack would be to put a rectangle of decoration on this part of the graph and the transparent color.

• After you insert hyperlinks to problem on the legend of text (character to help properties.)

  So I have a text caption in which I want to highlight text and add a hyperlink (see photo below).  Problem is that when I click on the text of the legend the two boxes of hyperlink show active under properties although it is not a hyperlink it.  By clicking on ' Add or remove the "button of hyperlink on the character keys does nothing.  The only way to get these buttons allow to work is to exit completely the Captivate, then re - open a file.  Then only, it'll work.

  Also, does anyone else have this problem?

  I'm on Windows. When you have installed the patch, did you first delete the preferences and delete the Layouts folder in the shared documents? This is the first time this typeof problem is mentioned, blogged recently about hyperlinks a couple of times and did a lot of exploring. Really wonder what is happening to you. Is this also the case when you use a form as a text container?

  Open the properties bar.
  When the focus is on the text in the caption bar of properties provides options for configuration of fonts.
