My emails (sent to reliable e-mail addresses and people I was always allowed to send emails to) keep bouncing with the following message:
It is a State that is automatically generated delivery Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed.

Emails must be wrong or theyre is no longer on the access provider. Ring to make sure that you have the correct address

    Until early this month my Thunderbird worked very well with my roadrunner email address. I have not downloaded any new software or made any changes to my settings during this period. Now I can send is more emails (even though it claims that they are sent), and I never get an error message.     Did you ask Road Runner why your sent emails do not leave their server?

    Thunderbird, says 'send successfully' when it get an acknowledgement from the server that the mail has been received ok for the transmission. Your only option is therefore asking for RoadRunner.

    Scan your PC for malware. Update your AV / AM program and do a full scan. If all goes well, none of your contacts opened the message and infected their PC, too.

  • How can I stop mail constantly try to resend an email bounced?

    A time back I sent an email to both addresses at a time.  Email went to a single address successfully but bounced on the other (with the message "failure MX Lookup;") try later).  Mail continues to try to return it to failed and I get emails bounce back.  How can I stop trying to send the email?  Enamel is in my "Sent" folder, so no use to delete from there - it just seems to be caught in a loop of cyberspace.  It's not ruining my life, just vaguely annoying.

    Is there a message still in your Outbox? Is there and it is this remove it from there.

    Most likely mail "successfully" sent to your mail server and it's your e-mail server who tried several times to send it to the other people's e-mail server. In this case, the options are to delete your mail from Queue - Server users something normal cannot do, but the server administrator may be able to do for you.

    Even if there is nothing that you can do yourself that a mail server will normally only try to send an email to a number of attempts or days and then stop. The number varies depending on the settings of the server.

    There are a lot of possible reasons as to why it's a failure for a well known email address alleged. In this case based on the limited data available, it could be one of the following.

    • The recipient doesn't have to renew the domain name registration and so their field was suspended, so your server can not 'find '.
    • Someone accidentally messed up the DNS settings for the domain of recipients, not impossible but unlikely
    • Currently, their internet connection is defective and they run their own DNS server, so as a side effect of their DNS record has also become unavailable, it is for this kind of situation that your mail server is trying repeatedly for once in the hope that their link returns to the top
    • If you typed the wrong email address in case the domain name, then your server will not be able to find it because it is looking for the wrong name
    • They recently moved offices and/or Internet providers and meanwhile, their systems can be offline

    In many cases they should bid a secondary MX record so that if their own mail server is temporarily unavailable mails sent at the entrance side and temporarily kept them until their mail server is back online then the secondary MX server will forward all the emails that have been temporarily held in them. Some people/companies do not reach the secondary MX records of installation.

    Your hotmail account seems to have been hijacked or hacked.

    You must discuss this with your email provider or ISP - you can't fix it yourself (although at the same time, change your password would be a good step).  They are the ones who can access these things on your account and close it because it may be the only viable option (although I'm not sure they can stop emails being sent to your name, even if the account is closed because the source is probably not the ISP or e-mail provider but an unknown location abroad).  But do not notify them immediately in order to take appropriate measures (and don't forget to discuss how you will have access to your files if they close your account - you will need to keep it open long enough to move the information elsewhere).  To support hotmail, go to:http://emailsupport.spaces.live.com/ and follow the instructions to report a hacked account.  You can also get support information at the:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316659.

    . You must also report it to the authorities (the police) so they can try to track down those criminals who cause damage even more before all is said and done.

    Text messages are managed by your carrier. I can only suggest to use a client of sms 3rd party like SMSCrunch. Maybe, that can give you the time, it was sent or received.

    You can also ask your carrier for the same information and whether they can send it to you (some of my friends who make heavy texting, have asked their carriers send delivery times with their bills.)

    As I suspected, it's a bug in your mail server. Please report it to the seller.

    Here's the bug:

    A9 FETCH 1 (BODY [2]<0.195>)
    * 1 FETCH (BODY [2]<0> NILE)

    Instead of responding with the content of this part of the body, the server returns ZERO.

    The JavaMail FAQ shows how to work around bugs like this in the IMAP servers.

    Check your message rules and see if you set up a message rule to shunt the in this folder.  It would be valuable to know what e-mail program, you are using and what version of Windows you have.  It is very difficult to give a useful answer when these information are not known.

    Whenever I send an email error message box comes up (with no message) and the email is sent to the Outbox, even if the email is actually sent and received by the addressee.     CrystalBall told you use Outlook Express. Fix? You have corruption of dbx files.

    Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

    In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

    After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

    Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

    Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

    Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages.
