Serial number lost cs, cannot use cs 4 upgrade installer

Try to install CS 4 (upgrade installer) on a new install of Snow Leopard.  Installer looking for a prior registered product.  I had installed CS 4 years, when I had been using CS.  No longer have the installation of CS in place so the installer can not find.  And I can't seem to locate the original disks for CS.  In my view, need go back nearly 8 years, maybe more.  What can we do in this case to the Setup program install?  Thank you.

You must have installed the software or have the serial number of the previous version.  Although it is unlikely due to the age of the product, you can check your Adobe account online.

An Alternative might be to contact Adobe Support by chat and see if they will help you.  I don't know if they're fine.

To the link below, click on the still need help? the option in the blue box below and choose the option to chat...
