  I was able to connect on the buying site licenses Adobe (https://www.licensing.adobe.com) I found an older user of paperwork ID, when first of all, we purchased the product in 2005.  I could set up the ID of the end user, who gave me the serial number of 24 digits required for installation on the newer computer.  The old computer had only 20 digits appearing on the software for security purposes, so I need more 4-digit.  Once I got the right number of series, I was able to successfully install the Adobe Photoshop CS2 software.  Thanks to Jeff Wright for his help!

• Fireworks MX 2004 - new serial number works temporarily

  I got a new laptop from work and had to reinstall Macromedia Fireworks MX 2004.  I used the new serial number, they gave me this year (2015) since they stopped support/activation. He worked for a few months, but now, everytime I open the Fireworks, it makes me to re-enter the serial number! It works, but only temporarily until I close it, then I re - enter the number each time. Ugh.

  I have a valid serial number for Design and Web Premium Pro CS6. Due to a hard drive problem I had to download and reinstall, I had no problem, but when I was asked for my serial number, I got this error:

  

  The drop-down menu you see here does not Design and Web Premium Pro, so activation stops right there. I double checked my page count to make sure that I had good product name and serial number, and I do.

  The technical support person told me to download it again, CS6 and I made - I downloaded the package Design and Web Premium Pro, and then the same problem arises. Any thoughts on how to solve this problem would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

  The list which you are asked to select the older versions of present that is valid for your upgrade purchase.  You must select the older version and provide its serial number as proof that you are eligible to use the upgrade.

  I have an old WinXP with the first Adobe CS Production Studio Premium I've used for more than six years.

  I recently had to reinstall the system and now I have a facility with serial number error.  The Prod Studio Prem is an upgrade

  I had this problem before. Adobe support gave me another number and it worked.

  The strange thing is the installation requires AE 3.0 or later and I am AE6.5. It asks also for still 1.0 or later, and I still have 1.0 and 1.5. If I remember several years back when I called ADOBE support, they said that even if I qualified for the upgrade of the question probably has been with the previous standard AE did not work serial number in the Setup screen.
