  I was hoping that you could give me a helping hand. Today our 10.2.3.0 AS server crashed. No reports or forms could open, and users received an error 500-Server page. I ran across the logs of business for this morning, but I can't find any errors that would be attributed to the accident. All journal entries, that I find more or less show when I stopped and started the services.
  
  I was hoping if someone could point me in the right direction of the place where to continue searching, or a methodology of research of error specific to the organization.

  You disable or purge all your OAS log files very often?
  That is to say (1) server logs and web-access by default to the $Oracle_home/j2ee/OC4J_BI_Forms/log/OC4J_BI_Forms_default_island_1
  (2) newspapers of access and error since the location $Oracle_home/Apache/logs/Apache
  (3) access and log the events of the location $Oracle_home/webcache/logs

  If the newspapers exceeds a certain threshold, the server hangs up automatically or application server performance can hit. So, it is advisable to delete n purge log files regularly. However, if you want to you can save it to disk or tape. (in my case, I just that newspapers above do not cross above 800 MB)

  For OID associated newspapers access to ldap/Infra_Home/log... (Check for oidmon.log and even oidsrv.log)
  Even check the logs to opmn IE from the location $Oracle_home/opmn/logs /... (Check for ons.log and opmn.log)

  You will surely get the error above newspapers and finding would be able to know, did your OAS crashed.

But what I remember is this another open window and asked me to choose 'something' (an icon or banner or?), I thought I have to click on an element (I guess I should read all clearly). Firefox updated to 3.6.4, but it also inserted some sort of what might be called a banner? But it does cover only partially the half right of my 3 toolbars at the top of the Firefox window. It cannot be used to something else because it's just a mess of colors and unknowns, except for what looks like a 'top' and what I recognize as an icon of Firefox (but only partially visible)! Now, what he does, it's partly hide this part all the toolbars and they are difficult to read and to do to turn this 'thing' impossible to understand, if I keep to? I can't find in any case to remove it or use it? But since the icon of Firefox is about it, I think you need to know what it is and how trash. • I have some adobe products, I need to move from a dead computer, they have not been disabled on the old computer. Where to start and what to do?

  Computers with Standard 4.0 just died, cannot boot and I need to move it to another computer.

  The computer with Web Premium 4.0 is very obsolete and alive, hit and Miss to start the system.

  I need to pass all the older machines products, (not disabled) and the 12 elements of PS to my laptop.

  To make a long story short

  I managed to get access to the limited WARRANTY statement today after a long session with the customer. Confusion with the login resulted from the long period of time since the purchases and long-lost information. I was trying to login to LWS with my own personal login and not the original credentials are most well-known. When I logged on adobe.com with my personal login, he showed the 2 products saved on my account, so the confusion as to why I could not access the LWS.   So, with the discs original picked up from the office, I managed to install the Design Premium on my new computer. It seems that the only downside of the installation from the original disks vs download since the LWS is it seems I can't update anything, if I try to update just said that there are no updates available at this time. I guess that updates are no longer available, where to download the LWS is probably completely up to date with some bugs came after the media.

  That said, we decided to improve the Design Premium to CS6 and I expect an answer by e-mail on their part so I can complete the transaction.

  I am new to Oracle BI, recently I had to apply a new .rpd file in an instance of Oracle BI and to my surprise it has stopped working the two following itens: Server BI and BI Presentation Services. I tried to apply the old .rpd file, but I can't yet begin none of both. Can someone help me with this problem?

  Of your nqserver.log:

  Boot server failed: [nQSError: 13042] repository password is incorrect.

  If you need to reupload your SPR and make sure that you enter the password correctly.

  I guess you are on Version 11 as your last post was on this version.

  You are customer of the EAS, take a look at \Hyperion\products\Essbase\eas\client
  If you load using maxl you should have a file of errors defined in the script.
  Newspaper to take a look at \hyperion\logs\essbase there will be essbase.log and application logs are lower than for example \hyperion\logs\essbase\app\Sample\Sample.log

• HPDM: HPDM replace self signed SSL certificates for server HDPM and master repository

  I am trying to replace the automatically generated self-signed certificates (issued to DM) issued by DM server HDPM and master repository.  I'm NOT arbitration FTPS, HTTPS embedded HPDM or CERT Thin Client Agent server.

  I already have CERT for the installation of our own internal domain CA for FTPS in IIS and the built-in Apache HTTPS server.  These work properly and pass tests of repository for both protocols.  I also have questions for Thin Clients of our internal CA very well.

  I am interested in the HPDM real server cert and cert master repository. These are generated automatically when the two services start.  They use a very weak MD5 hash and key RSA 1024.  I can't find any documentation around that, with the exception of troubleshooting, in which you can remove these certificates restart services and they will be regenerated.

  Here are the paths certs\key
  HPDM % install Path%\MasterRepositoryController\Controller.crt (Cert repository)

  HPDM % install Path%\MasterRepositoryController\Controller.key (repository key)

  HPDM % install Path%\MasterRepositoryController\Client.crt (HPDM Server Cert)

  HPDM % install Path%\Server\Bin\hpdmskey.keystore (Both HPDM server and repository Certs and keys) (not sure what format it is in.  It is not PEM and P12 ok I can say)

  There are also some HPDM % install Path%\Server\bin\hpdmcert.key.  Don't know what it is.  It's the key to the server HPDM but deleting it does nothing and it is never re auto generated in one of my tests.

  I am able to replace the Controller.crt and keys with my own files CA internal those emitted very well.  The service started and no errors occur.  However if I replace the Client.cert (HPDM Server Cert) with my own service will start but there are Socket SSL errors in repository logs and the HPDM server could not connect to the master repository. I have no idea where the key file is supposed to be for HPDM Server Cert.

  Can anyone help with this?  I can't find the configuration files for the service to generate their own certificates.  If I did I would try at least to change the config to do not use MD5.

  These certiricates between HPDM server and MRC are not designed for customizable. Please submite one scenario if you have concerns of security on it.

  Just for info:

  hpdmcert. Key is for communication between the server HPDM and gateway HPDM

  hpdmskey.keystore is for communication between the server HPDM and MRC

  server_keystore is for the commhucation between HPDM server and the Console HPDM

• You need to add a 3rd WAP to existing small business network. Where I start?

  The network has 26 ports Cisco switch and 2 existing WAPs, 1 of which is an air 1040, and the other I'm not sure but it resembles that of other.  I need to add a 3rd WAP for a small room.  I was going to use an other cisco 1040 air, but I don't know where to start.  There is a smaller, lighter WAP that works?  I have no experience in network configuration, so I'd like something simple.  Help, please.

This prevents the learning curves to a minimum and help in getting enlargement and running faster. However, there are time going with brand new products are better, especially if you are trying to integrate the best technologies.

  The Aironet 1040 currently being End of Life / end of sale. You would need to look for a different model.

  He stay with the Enterprise Access Points level, the AIR 1602 has the same capabilitoes as the 104 you're too used. Price range is 300 above low 400 according to one where you look.

  If you want to look at small businesses, we have the WAP561 which is also dual Radio and should do everything the 1040 can or you can look at the WAP371 that is double also but includes a radio that can make the new signal "AC". These two serve 200 upper middle 200 depending on where you look. By the way that they look almost identical to the AIR1040 as well.

• Windows Server 2012 with EFI fails to start after reset of HA

  The purpose of this thread:
  1. a solution, if anyone else has this problem.
  2. If someone has a better knowledge of why this happens or how avoid feel free to explain it please.

  The scenario:

  I was a new analysis a HBA via the Web Client (something I've done many times before in the non-Web client without any problem...) and loses connectivity to the ESXi host. No response from the ESXi at all and I've noticed a GROUP... That's fine for now...

  The biggest problem is that the VM on the failed host installs via HA to my other ESXi in the cluster, each of them has started normally except my 2012 server s. Just the Automatic Startup Repair Wizard has started, and I couldn't do much from there... I tried a few things auto repair, but they could not fill...

  So, I entered the command line tools and ran from diskpart. Discs not presented at all. That's where he hit that I use PVSCSI drivers for my 2012 s server so I was trying to understand how I could inject the command line, but I tried something else first...
  I started the virtual machine on the ISO 2012 server. Tried the option repair, no OS not found to fix, so I chose a new installation and loaded drivers PVSCSI pvscsi-floppy, interrupted the installation and tried the repair option again. He said something like "Continue to start Windows Server 2012" and viola! The VM rebooted successfully and started successfully in the operating system.

  All 3 2012 Server virtual machines on failure that esxi is affected. No Server 2008 or linux where affected machines but they do not use the pilot PVSCSI.

  
  Anyone has a solution alter or maybe an explanation why this happened? This will happen if HA into action on my server 2012 s?

  Is it possible to test or confirm without killing an ESXi host?

  I am running vSphere 5.5 and I don't think that I had this problem with 5.0 or 5.1, but I'm not 100% sure that cause I don't remember no matter which GROUP or another that are running older versions of the failure.

  Hardware version is 9, EFI boot.

  Finally, I solved this... Looks like a mistake to the EFI initialization after reset of a HA. I know EFI is not supported by FT but I'm only using HA I can't find anywhere that it says that it should not work.

  This is how I fixed the corrupt WS2012 boots:

  1 boot WS2012 ISO, select new installation, load drivers PVSCSI, interrupt installation and choose repair. (Only needed if PVSCI-pilot helps you bootdisk)
  2. choose Help and then command Promt
  3. Run diskpart
  flight type list
  Locate the number of the partition-small FAT32 EFI, in my case nr 3
  Salt type flight 3

  type assign

  flight type list

  Choose the letter assigned, in my case E:
  Type exit

  4 cd /d e:\efi\microsoft\boot

  5 ren BCD BCD.bak

  6 bcdboot c:\windows/l en-us/s E: /f ALL

  7 bootrec /fixmbr

  Bootrec /fixboot

  Bootrec /scanos

  Bootrec /rebuildbcd

  Don't know if all these are necessary... However, it works. Note that the scanos and rebuildbcd show 0 found BONES.

  8 exit the command prompt and click on "Continue starting the server 2012" after that recharge should work properly again.
