Why is your host sudheer.oracledb name but your file/etc/hosts indicates the hostname like sudheer.oracle11db?  These entries do NOT match, and that's why you can't find the host of the listener.  Edit the file/etc/hosts to have the REAL host name; you might be surprised that the listener starts to work.

  • Why MS SQL server is required for installing vcenter?

Why MS SQL server is required for installing vcenter?

You need a database to contain the vCenter Server information. It may be SQL/Oracle. By default, an installation of SQL Express happens if you do not want to install a complete SQL Server blown - it will have maximum but limits work for smaller infrastructure.

    Exact wording of the documentation:

vCenter Server and vCenter Update Manager require databases to store and organize the data from the server.

Each instance of vCenter server must have its own database. vCenter Server instances cannot share the same database schema. Several databases of vCenter Server can reside on the same database server, or they can be split between multiple database servers. Databases Oracle, who have the notion of schema objects, you can run several unique vCenter Server instances in a database server if you are the owner of a different pattern for each instance of vCenter server, or use a server of Oracle database dedicated for each instance of vCenter server.

You don't need to install a new server database for the vCenter Server installation to work. During installation, you can point the vCenter Server system for the supported existing databases. vCenter Server supports IBM DB2, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. vCenter Update Manager supports Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. For a list of supported database server versions, see the vSphere compatibility tables tohttp://www.vmware.com/pdf/vsphere4/r40/vsp_compatibility_matrix.pdf on the VMware vSphere documentation Web site.

Not necessarily; in fact, you can run the Oracle database commands using pass (local) connections. You would of course be connected to the operating system where it is installed your Oracle database to establish local connections without using tnsnames.

Oracle Database XE is a database server. Client software must be installed on client systems for remote access to Oracle Database 10g Express Edition. You need not install the client on the same computer as Oracle Database 10 g Express Edition.

The tables are logical structures that are in your data files; the data files are physically stored on the operating system on which the Oracle database server is installed.

  • SSL enabled on a server that hosts a managed server (Oracle 11 g)

    Hello world

I have a request of OSB what the poll via POP3 over SSL email, it works very well on my local environment (Oracle 12 c) where I ticked the option "SSL required.

I am struggling with the deployment of the solution on a server that hosts a managed server (server01 and server02) working with Oracle 11 g.

I tried to deploy the jar, but it is not with the following conflict-error:

"Invalid Xml: expected elements ' incoming properties @http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/transports/email outgoing-properties @http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/transports/email' instead of ' use ssl @http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/transports/email' in the @http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/transports provider-specificelement here"

Thus, removed from the xml of the proxy the following: "" < ema: use ssl > true < / ema: use ssl > ""

and successfully deployed once again, but the SSL does not work of course.

Does anyone know what I need to do to activate the SSL on a server that hosts a managed server (Oracle 11 g)?

I try with model db (DB empty, just a single table), but the error is same. However, if I try to copy the acronym tabele from SQL Server to Oracle it works fine...

I guess it's something with the configuration, but beacause I am new in Oracle still have no idea...

Any help would be much appreciated

    I thank in advance

    Stefan

    Hello Stefan,

did you create the repository Migration of your database to Oracle (Tools-> Migration-> repository management)?

The SS2K5ALLPLATFORM package is usually created when you add the migration of the Oracle database repository and it contains the function StageCapture.

So please make sure that you have created a repository of migration in an Oracle database and associate it with the first step of your migration.

    Hi all

How to integrate a database server Oracle Coherence and how to work on it?

    Thank you

You can also do this with manual coding to JDBC code or have a stored procedure that performs the actual mapping data to tables (this is probably the smallest amount of data transported between the node storage and DB, but with the overhead of processing of stored procedures).
