Server Terminal Server 2000 running, Memory Dump, restarting and checking bug error 0x0000007f

I've been to dump memory and blue screen on a Windows Server 2000 Terminal Server running.

I had to change the server for a complete memory dump to just check bug 64 MB because memory dumps were fill the C drive and it is the same mistake each time it fails.

It is a production server and is vital to my business.

I don't want to just install the 5 or 6 different patches from Microsoft that references the same exact error code, error message stop and symptoms for Server 2000.

I just replace the memory new inside with two sticks and I even changed the boxes it was with one that has no hardware problem as I have a few of them.

So he this 2000 Server had the motherboard, processor, memory, network, Audio card, changed video cards and I always get this accident a few times a day.

I can't find anything definitive on this so if anyone has had the same problems and found a solution, then I'd be very happy to help.

I am doing a complete network upgrade in the next month or two.

My work is located in the middle of the busy season and I cannot take the server down and impossible to install anything that could cause a hard accident and not to start again.

I'm in the middle of an upgrade of the network and we'll go virtual with this server with as many others as I can.

I need to this Terminal Server to stop crashing and to find a solution for it, while the summer crowd is full swing at my work and it will improve after this summer.

Any help would be awesome.

Thank you and sorry for the long post.

  • Oracle 10.2 64-bit to SQL Server 2000 (32-bit) through DG4ODBC and DBLINK

    Hi all

I need to connect from Oracle to SQL Server through DB-LINK, and since my installation Oracle does not contain of HSODBC, I installed DG4ODBC.

    My current setup SW is:

    (1) oracle Server (64-bit):
Operating system: Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2
DB: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Production 64-bit
Gateway: Heterogeneous Agent 11.2.0.1.0 - 64 bit Production version built with Oracle Database Gateway for ODBC
    Oracle home: E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\
    Gateway home: D:\apps\product\11.2.0\tg_1\
In addition, he performs a 10.0 ArcGIS/ArcSDE on Oracle.

    (2) MS SQL Server (32-bit):
    OS: Windows NT 5.2 SP2
DB: Microsoft SQL Server 2000-8.00.2065 (Intel X 86)

There are two headphones running (one of each installation, 10.2 and 11.2) which, I suppose, can lead to conflicts or reduce performance. As a restriction, I need the listener from 10.2 to continue

unchanged running from ArcSDE Service use and re-create them is a pain.

So my question is, how do I configure a (10.2) or two listeners (10.2 and 11.2) use DG4ODBC to connect to a remote SQL Server to Oracle?

I have followed several threads in this forum, try different configurations but I can not connect successfully with the DATABASE LINK. In most cases, I get error ORA-28545 and ORA-02063.

Can someone help me solve this problem? What I need to send more information, for example {SID} init. now, listener.ora, tnsnames.ora, clarifications etc?

    Thank you much in advance.

    Gaston.

    Hi, Gaston,.
The following note describes the setting up Dg4ODBC on 64-bit Windows-

How the installer DG4ODBC (gateway for ODBC Oracle database) on 64-bit Windows operating systems (Doc ID 1266572.1)

You definitely need 2 separate listeners - one for the 10.2 RDBMS and one for the 11.2 Dg4ODBC. There should be no concern about the performance or other conflicts. The only thing to know is that listener DG4ODBC must use a different port than the 10.2 listener.

Heike referred to as using a file odbc.ini, but it is necessary when setting up Dg4ODBC on Unix/Linux platforms. Under Windows, the database non-Oracle information in the system DSN that is used for the HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO parameter in theinit .ora file DG4ODBC.

    Do the following-

-Configure the gateway as Note 1266572.1 with a listener running of the ORACLE_HOME bridge, in your case D:\apps\product\11.2.0\tg_1\
-create tnsnames.ora entry in the 10.2 RDBMS directory $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin for the gateway
-create the database link in the RDBMS using the tnsnames.ora entry.

If you still have problems then view the files following and information-

    -Gateway listener.ora
    -gatewayinit .ora
    -RDBMS tnsnames.ora
    -create database link statement

Another point, because you're running on Windows 64 bits, then the ODBC driver that is referred to in the system DSN for the connection must be a 64-bit driver. You cannot use the 32-bit drivers with 64-bit DG4ODBC.

    Kind regards

  • Windows keeps freezing, then running dskchk to restart and still then freezes Help!

Last night I've used Skype and some other Web pages open as well when my computer suddenly froze and I had to reboot. When I did, he worked briefly, but froze again. On the second reboot, he said he had to check the drive for consistency. Everything went well and was able to use it again for a few minutes, but when you type in a document in word, I got the blue screen of death, which said BAD_POOL_HEADER. However, after restarting, I not had the BSOD again. It freezes just up during use, runs the check of the drive even again and again, but continues to freeze later. The arrow works, but absolutely nothing else. I can't even run the computer in safe mode.

I also noticed it says "recovering orphaned files" and "error correction in the index $I30 in file 50705" throughout the dskchk. There was something to find 19 unindexed files as well. In addition, the last time that I have restarted, he said that Skype is a corrupted file. I uninstalled Skype but this does seem to doing nothing at all.

Looks like there's a LOT of different things going on here and I'm not that great with computers so I don't know what to do. All I can find are forums online and none were particularly useful. I live in the South of Senegal, so I can't exactly go to a workshop to repair either...

Is - fixable? Please help me!

    Hello

You did changes to the computer before the show?

    Method 1:
Start in safe mode and then try to run chkdsk.
See this link for the how to start in safe mode:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

For security, you can back up your data before using check disk drive if you can. Defective sectors found while making the disk check would result in a loss of data.

    Method 2:
I also suggest you to run chkdsk utility fromWindows recovery (WINRE) enviornment and check if that helps you solve the problem.
Follow the steps below to start the computer using the WINRE and run the chkdsk utility.
    a. Insert the Windows Vista installation disc.
    b. restart your computer.
    c. If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.
    d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
    e. click on repair your computer.
    f. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    g. on the System Recovery Options menu, select command prompt.
    h. type the command chkdsk C: /f /r and press enter

"It is not a true crash, in the sense that the blue screen was launched only because the combination of material and video driver video was to be insensitive and not because of any exception processing synchronous".

Since Vista, the components of "Timeout detection and recovery" (TDR) of the subsystem video OS have been able to do some really impressive things to try to find issues that would have led to the earlier OS like XP to crash.

As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends a video driver command "Please restart you now!" and wait a few seconds.
If there is no answer, the BONE concludes that the combo of driver/hardware video has really collapsed in a heap, and it fires at this stop 0 x 116 BSOD.

If playing with video driver versions did not help, make sure that the box is not overheated.
Try to remove a side panel and a fan of big sector directly to the motherboard and GPU.
Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to check whether the cooler temperatures make a difference.

If so, it could be as simple as dust accumulation and inadequate cooling afterwards.

I download cpu - z and gpu - z (both free) and keep an eye on the video time

I too struggled to find the simple answer of any of this info - but it
    boils down to:

    (1) type "Cmd" in the start search box, this will open a black
DOS command window - it will probably be already in your
    User name of "c:\Users\" directory

    Type 2) in CD AppData\Local
(you should now show as in)

    "c:\Users\\AppData\Local)

    (3) type Attrib - r press Temp... Come in
... and that's it - Movie Maker must start now ok.

Today, I started my computer as usual worked well. After about 30 minutes of use it has restarted without having to provide me at all. When the computer reboots, it starts as usual, after the XP loading screen, it goes to blackscreen for a second, then a blue screen error message appears, then disappears. The error code given is:

    STOP: 0X00000007E (0XC0000005. 0X87F23B2, 0XF793D26C, 0XF793CF68)

Initially I thought it was a stick of RAM going bad, so did reinstall each stick etc. to know who does what, and all the sticks started the computer at this point where I get the blue screen. Then maybe this issue is not a RAM? I have NO idea what this error code is... Does anyone have an idea? I did my share of research on the internet and that you have not really found any answers for my situation.

Solved. I put in my XP CD and booted from it, press ENTER for a new installation, then to the next option, press 'R' or a repair installation. After he went on his own thing, its up and running again, and all my files/preferences have been saved too. The only thing that was wiped out was my WINDOWS folder, so I just need to download IE8 and updates for XP etc.

  • XPS 8700 suddenly slow restart and check

My 8700 previously fast Dell with 12 GB of ram has suddenly slowed to a crawl when restarting or commissioning. The problem occurs before any hard drive activity starts.  So, when I reboot, and after that the shutdown procedure occurs, the screen goes into mode "Eve" (orange), white light button / stop of the Tower remains on. The computer is then silent for about five minutes before the screen comes alive, turns on the led drive activity, and the start-up procedure occurs.  From this point, start-up is fast.

If I turn off completely, when I boot, the power light turns white, the display shows a Dell logo in a circle.  There is no Caterpillar goes in a circle of about five minutes. There is no disk activity.  Suddenly, after having sat there, the Caterpillar appears and the computer starts up quickly from that moment.  Basically, the Dell logo without Caterpillar takes several minutes when it is used to take a few seconds.  If I hit F12, it won't beep until after five minutes is complete.  So, the problem is very early in the boot process, I guess.

I shut down the computer, pulled out the plug.  Removed all USB cords.  Holding the switch down for thirty seconds, then re-inserted all the cords and propelled upwards. That does not solve the problem.

I have the BIOS A03 delivered installed on this machine that was purchased almost exactly a month ago. I have not tried to update the BIOS for fear that I might make things worse because the computer was fast a week or two ago.

Online diagnostics refuses to start. Have not knowingly changed anything in the BIOS settings. Did not run diagnostics from the F12, but will.  Cannot see how to activate the detailed MESSAGE.

You did changes to the computer before this problem?

Step 1: Check if the problem persists in the clean boot state.

From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

  • Convert an Esxi 4 2 Server VM runs extremely slow

    Hello

I am very new to virtualization and have just the configuration server ESXi 4 that will replace the VM Server 2 systems we tested.  Recently, I tried to convert one of my server-2 VMs (Using the 'Converter Standalone Client') a VM (Version 7) Infrastructure.  After two days of continuous operation, the converter was only 5% finished and was transferring data to 24 kb/s (the server is ~ 150 GB in size).  This seems to be extremely slow and I hope that there is something that I can do to speed up that this server should run during opening hours and I like that, I can't take it down more than the weekend.

I ran the converter Client on the server that hosts the virtual machine, and that server and the ESXi have dual network adapters connected to a managed switch of FD 100 MB.  (They are both on the same switch).  The virtual machine was not working and there was almost no other network activity going on during the conversation.

    Any help is appreciated

The goal is to eliminate the things that it is not. Download your installation as simple as possible. I don't know what your problem is, but it certainly seems like a network problem. A single 100 MB network adapter should work much faster than the speed you receive.

Other things to eliminate are pass the port problems, configuration issues, cable issues, NIC

Run something like wireshark as you begin your conversion. See if you notice any problems in the capture.

Create a new fresh installation of the VM on the ESXi host and check the flow rate etc. You don't want to go to production if you have problems. Monday will not be fun if you do.
