Servers on C210 M2 all becomes inaccessible

We have 2 servers UCS C210 M2 in 2 different places. In the 2 months, they each had the servers configured on them stops responding (including ESXi host) and we are forced to restart the MMIC so that servers back online. Initially the TAC tells us it was due to this bug: https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCtw68712

We installed the update of firmware for each system and they were quiet for a month. Last Friday, one of the servers has shown the same behavior and we were forced to reboot again. TAC now tells us that the problem is due to a combination of the battery from the RAID controller that needs to be replaced, the firmware ESXi that need to be updated (Version 00.00.04.14.18 - 1vmw, version: 348481, must be 00.00.05.33) and that the pilot of the MAP must be updated (version: 2.0.7d - 3vmw, should be 2.2.1i.v41.1.)

Has anyone meet a similar problem? Have you noticed anything that has helped solve your problem?

If she says that it was fixed at 1.43 (c), I remember having the same problem that release as well.

the key is to disable the interrupt remapping first to WOOD - restart

then also disable it in the esxi - restart.

If you did that?

also, I suggest upgrading to 1.43u or v.  1.4 (3 c) is not yet in the list of the firmware to download on the cisco Web site.  either its been delayed or cisco do not want us to use it.

Thank you

Vijay

  • Become inaccessible for a short period of shared folder

    Hi all

We have a program that monitors a folder for the files in this folder. We can get the files properly, the part works well, except that we will have maybe once a day, the windows error that the files are not accessible. It temporarily loses the sharing for this folder. We try again, and then it works...

We can reproduce the problem locally, I mean on a single computer. We share the folder and it works, but maybe once a day, it becomes inaccessible.

The research on the net, we found that it would be possible a .NET issue where .NET would not release the connection to the user when they log off of the record... and maybe we reach the maximum number of connections to this folder? But we have not found yet no solution to this problem...

In the meantime, we will try to turn on the 'availability for the sahred folder offline' in case it is of our network that temporarily fails, but I really doubt that's the problem.

(we have this problem on several machines here. Win7 WinXP..)

  • Where Win7 stores the Windows Virtual PC > XP Mode > XPMUser "My Documents" to access if the virtual XP becomes inaccessible?

Lost all files in XP mode is "My Docs" XPMUser because I can't connect? Same situation. Where Win7 stores the Windows Virtual PC > XP Mode > XPMUser "My Documents" to access if the virtual XP instance become inaccessible? Like many here, I have activated integration and where then asked for a password on the next reboot of the XP Mode. The password that I usually use has not been accepted. I tried all the possible solutions (have "integration" disabled, start with virtual XP safe mode), but not able to change my password XPmode so don't chance NO connection.  I have brand new instance of XP Mode works, but obviously does not have access to the CASE of XP Mode instance. My question is simple: where are the files that I created and saved in the default location of the first modes XP XPMUser "My Documents" in Windows 7? I tried Win7 for XP 'My documents' files by names or names of game but no luck.  Help, please.

It is located in the file XP Mode VHD (Virtual Hard Drive), you can look as pretty as a ZIP file that contains a structure of entire disk rather than just a few files.  This VHD file is usually stored in your user folder in a folder of Virtual Machines, for example mine was in the C:\Users\SKeene\Virtual Machines.

And it's my cheesy guilty pleasure wishes to inform you that you can browse this file as if it were a hard drive, without having to start the XP mode.  However, security applies: If your 'My documents' has been limited, it might be difficult to access (even if you pouvez be able to take possession of the file and gain access).
    Here's how:
    1. Open the Start Menu, right-click on computer and select manage. In the maintenance window of the computer that opens, choose "disk management".
    2. On the right side, click "More action" and then click "Attach VHD" and select your XP Mode VHD file.  You might consider making a backup of the file copy of the hard drive virtual before do you it, just in case!
    3. Once you have connected the virtual hard drive, an Autorun dialog box may appear.  If this is not the case, simply click on Start/computer to see your new 'Local disk '.
At least, I can confirm that it worked perfectly for me, and I had access to my account "User XPMode" alongwith without problem.
  • I just upgraded to 10... and now the links and buttons when my cursor passes over them, and my window blackout curtains all becomes black, whenever I scroll.

I just upgraded to Firefox 10 and had to go back to 3.6 as 10 doesn't seem to work on my computer. I have a pc running windows 7. After the upgrade, whenever I moved my cursor on a button or link, linking out white or a black bock appears above him. In addition, whenever I try to scroll, the whole window becomes black until I have stop scrolling.

    Hi Nester88,

I'll try from Firefox Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode. If you do not have the issue so that all your modules, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them in one by one until you find the culprit.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi all

I have a hmnd2 that I had for years. After that a recent unexpected power down I no longer accesses through my home network. Ping the ip address returns no response. white light on the front is on and I can hear it running, but I have no access. at startup, I hear a form of slight movement of the hard drive, but then it goes quiet. I tried the reset button, but no luck. also tried through the usb at the back. My Network senses there is something out there but can not load a driver (and so it remains inaccessible). All of a sudden all my folders on the desktop and in the windows file has appeared as black squares.  I restarted my computer and the black squares are still there.

I went to tools in the menu bar and tried to change the appearance of the icons file but cannot change.

I clicked on the classic files and tried to apply it to all files without success.

  • The upgrade of VMware View Agent from 5.2 to 5.3 causes agent become inaccessible in Horizon administrator.

Short throughout, I was unable to update several agents to 5.3, because the 5.2 msi could not be found.

I followed the instructions on this page (KB VMware: UpgradingVMware View Agent and View Composer fails with the error: the component that you are trying to use is o...) and installed the agent 5.3

It worked on the test systems 3. When I went to live 2 principles broke. I can RDP but you cannot use the Client to connect and get a response that says that the resource is not available.

I looked into the Horizon view Admin and they are listed as inaccessible agent, matching State pairings.

    I did the following.

    Uninstalled agent 5.3.

    Uninstalled the tools.

    Reinstalled them both.

The removed from the inventory of the pool and added them.

    This is Win7 systems.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Fred

I could solve this problem by removing the pool, then adding back and then restarting the agent service. It sometimes took two reboots, but that's fine.

  • Last night my records on CC has stopped working and I could not send links. I asked for help earlier today and brushed with SORRY low servers! Night, that all records have now disappeared from CC, does not do well at all.

I haven't used CC for a long time, and with my first problem, I found the support to be completely useless.

@tip0 - there is a problem with the public links (link to send) that has been partially resolved. New links will work and we are working to solve the problem with the existing links (not all existing links are concerned).

I looked at metadata file to your account and see that at the top level, you have 9 folders (containing the files) under files; and 1 file and a folder (containing the files) in the Archive at https://assets.adobe.com/files?filter=archive. Please send me a private Forum Message or send me an email to [email protected] with a screenshot of the view that see you on the active Web site. You use the file sync feature? If Yes please send me a screenshot of the creative Cloud Files folder on your computer.

  • Installing 2nd power C210 M1 - needed downtime?

I have several servers UCS C210 M1 who have just a diet, I need to install a second.   Will I need to shut down the servers to install the second power supply?

I found details about installing them here...

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/unified_computing/UCS/c/HW/C210M1/install/replace.html

and see that they're hot, pluggable but it is unclear if the interruptions of service is required to install a second delivery of pwr.  I think that it may be necessary to ensure that the system starts with two power supplies and so knows the configuration.

    Thank you

    Todd

You need not turn off the server to install the second power supply.

  • ALL-IN-ONE PHOTOSMART HP 5510 WILL NOT PRINT AFTER GO 'SLEEP' MODE

    My printer model:

    HP PHOTOSMART ALL-IN-ONE 5510 B111A

    Problem:

Printer goes into sleep mode. After 25-30 minutes breaks the connection between the PC and the printer wireless. Beacon wireless is the same fashionable "sleep" and I see that the printer is connected to my router and there is internet connection. HP Print and Scan doctor sees the printer, but I can't wake the printer unless I restart it.

    What I've tried so far:

I tried all the solutions offered hp.com; Reinstall driver, updating the printer software, setting static IP on the printer, static DNS servers, using HP print and Scan doctor.

I've seen people questioned on this issue before and there is no solution. I really need help from HP!

After days of research, the problem was finally solved! I applied the following steps below. Some steps may be unnecessary, I didn't waste my time knowing who.

    1. find your PC's DNS servers by typing ipconfig/all in CMD.
    2. assign a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For my Linksys router him between 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.150. So I put my static IP address as 192.168.1.20.

To do this, click the button on your printer wireless. This will show the IP address of your printer. This type of your browser. Go/network/network address. Choose manual IP and write 192.168.1.20

3 now come to section of the manual DNS server, and then type your DNS servers, you found before.

    4. open your HP printer program that must be installed with your driver. Utilities hit and update the IP address. Update your address with your static IP address.

    5. now go to your router settings. Find the wireless settings and change your not automatic standard 20 MHz radio band.

    6. change your standard channel to 6.

7 find the wireless security and replace your WPA-personal security mode.

    8 disable UPnP

    9. This is the part of the KEY. Change the renewal of your key to 36000 seconds. (10 hours)

10 go to the Windows Advanced Firewall. Enable all the disabled printer and share, entrants and outbond rules.
I believe that the most important parts are affecting a static IP address outside your DHCP-range and change the key renewal time. I hope this works for you too

  • How do active and passive servers work?

can help them a whole on this please?

Protected applications run on active servers and services are accessible by name or public IP address. Passive servers can be accessed by the management IP. Protected services are not running on the passive servers. The server role can be changed to an Active Server on a passive server by using manual failover. A public IP address is package filtered on passive servers and passthrough when it becomes active.

  • P2V on servers by omitting of VLAN different

We've been migrating servers to our new VMware guests, and so far the P2V conversions are continuing smoothly.  Recenly tried to migrate servers and they were all fail.  The only difference I see is that they are in one VLAN different than others.

The hosts have a vSwitch supporting VLAN multipul, and I was able to move a virtual server in this VLAN and work with it, so everything seems to be fine up to now.

  • Host connection failure: VMs, warehouses of data inaccessible (in gray)

    Hello everyone,

I have 1 ESXi host 5.1 throwing alarm: host connection failure. Al a SNMP trap for the entity has been sent.

I have 10 servers ESXi 5.1 all the amanged by 1 5.1 VCenter server.

8 ESXi servers belong to a cluster HA and 2 are not in a cluster.

The issue I'm facing is with 1 ESXi host that is outside the cluster.

The virtual machines on that host are powered OFF. I am not able to turn on. I am not able to Vmotion them. However, if I remove them from the inventory and add them to the inventory on a different host running, VM works very well.

Shared on this host data warehouses show Greyed out as well except the local data store (VMFS). I have 1 VM on the local disk of this host and I can power ON the property. But all other virtual machines are the shared data store (NFS - Netapp) and I can not turn on this particular host 1.

Same data warehouses (NFS - Netapp) are shared with the other 9 (Clustered and nonclustered hosts) ESXi hosts and data store is fine and detected by all hosts.

I tried to reboot the host several times but without success.

Can someone please share their expert advise on how to fix this?

Please see the attachment for details of esxi host does not.

    Thank you

  • Managing servers with virtual IPs / hostnames does not start

    Hi all

I installed a cluster of OSB in load balancing and a load-balanced SOA (10.3.6) on two separate servers.

-Server Admin SOA (runs on the server #1).
-Server Admin OSB (runs on the server #2)

I am using virtual hostnames for my managed servers of SOA and OSB, as follows:

-Server of OSB managed #1: OSBHOST1VHN - ip: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (runs on the server #1)
-Server of OSB managed #2: OSBHOST2VHN - ip: .yyy (runs on the server #2)

-Server SOA managed #1: SOAHOST1VHN - ip: www.www.www.www (runs on the server #1)
-Server SOA managed #2: SOAHOST2VHN - ip: zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz (runs on the server #2)

-The BAM server managed #1: BAMHOST1VHN - ip: nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn (runs on the server #1)
-The BAM server managed #2: ip: zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz - no name virtual IP here (runs on the server #2)

I was able to start/stop the admin server managed nodes on each server so far Manager.
Everything works great until we decided to stop the machines to add more memory.
After the reboot, the servers admin started but not servers managed.
Well, all the managed servers with vIPs failed, but the BAM #2 server started without any problems.

For other servers managed, I get the following errors in the log files.

I tried to ping my vHOSTS:
    ping OSBHOST2VHN
I managed to fix my VIP, so I guess they work properly.
I checked the etc/hosts, and everything is set up correctly.
I also checked config.xml (which I have not modified) and everything seems correctly (host, servers, IP, ports,...).

The only one that has changed since the rebooted server is the setDomainEnv.sh in which I modified Xms and Xms values to increase the heap size.
I only changed it on a single server to check if the settings we correctly applied.

Can someone help me with this?
