Service Pak 3

My computer would not work when I installed Service Pak 3.  I think that I have a system 32 byt.  My anti virus program keeps telling me that I have to upgrade to Service Pak 3.  Any suggestions?

I installed SP3 on a PC to test without problems but on my
A PC that I use for daily use. Here is most of what you
need to know.

Note: Service Pack 2 - security/support updates end as the
July 13, 2010. This is another reason to install SP3.

Also if I where to install SP3 I would choose to download the
file and don't use automatic updates. (See the link below download)

Your computer must be at least level SP1 or SP2 SP3 will not be
install on XP Gold.

I would also create a "save image" of my front disc
to install SP3 just in case you have problems.
Not having any Image backup software:
Try the 'True Image' (has a 15 day trial version available)

the latest version of 8.x
