Session g_f01 State

Hello

Apex 4.2

I have a standard report. I want to access the values in this report of pl/sql using the table in apex_application.g_f01. However, apex_application.g_f01.count will return as 0.

I'm clearly missing something, the column probably not interested stores its values in session state, even when I put the column "Show as text (save session state)", it is indifferent.

Please can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you

Ralph

Hi Richard,

Well. I can see that your works. Mine, not so much. I created a new page, copy exactly what you had (changes in names of tables and columns in the query). The only thing that is different is the model of the report where you have "standard region" and I "reporting area"... I don't have the option for a 'standard' region But when I got it as 'Empty Region' the dynamic event refused to fire at all...

But alas the .count will return as 0... yet.

Now a big difference seems to be that real output in the report for you perfect where you concatenated the apex_item.hidden. However, mine is full tags. for example

H

Source of the request is

Select

subject_id,

apex_item. Hidden(1,subject_id) | subject_type as subject_type,

subject_name

topics

That is generated by this query. So this may be something to do with it? I don't know how to get those not hidden tags to display. Maybe its to do with the model of region of report...

If click on Session-> view-> Session State contains no items of the current page.

Page elements have any value in session state to the point that do you? Note that the time with null values are not displayed, and point values defined by using properties of the Source item or by default during the page see the transformation come not in session state until the page is sent.

  • State of the virtual machine after the host failure

    Hello

If a virtual machine is running on a host and that host suddenly powers off dirty, like a power failure or a remote access card power the server due to a fault, overtemp etc., what happens to the virtual machine?

My guess is the virtual machine is actually difficult, dirty off too and if HA is configured, etc it is going to do a full power on sequence. Or is it restart on a new server and be automatically in the same power state with the same States of memory and cpu until the host has dropped dead? So if I got a connection of the DRC in a vm of windows server and the host dies suddenly and it restarts, reconnect to the session even State immediately before the breaking of the host?

    Thank you

Blocks of database entries are by DBWR, not dedicated server process: so if a session database issues some write actions that they cannot be declared with corresponding wait events in the user database session, but you will see waiting for associated events to make journal entries because database session must either wait to VALIDATE the execution returns (redo written log is made by LGWR and not by dedicated server process) or the order of log file (also made by LGWR).

  • How to enable protection of the status of link column of calendar user session level

I activated the user session level State protection in my application. Attributes column report, link to the column, page checksums, I choose "reusable level-link current per user.
However for the link column calendar, there is no option for me to choose and by default is using "session-level". Is there a way to change session level protection at the level of the user to link column of calendar?

    Cheng-Lu,

Please ask about this, it is a very good question. When we implemented this feature in version 2.0 of the product, us does not control over the type of checksum in the links (3 types) but for two situations: 1) declare links, as you noted, and links 2) dynamically generated as you can produce in your SQL report or in a region of PL/SQL. For the latter case, you must use the apex_util.prepare_url function to generate a link, passing the type of checksum by the signature of the function:

    FUNCTION PREPARE_URL RETURNS VARCHAR2
     Argument Name Type In/Out Default?
     ------------------------------ ----------------------- ------ --------
     P_URL VARCHAR2 IN
     P_URL_CHARSET VARCHAR2 IN DEFAULT
     P_CHECKSUM_TYPE VARCHAR2 IN DEFAULT

It wouldn't be a bad idea for us to treat the calendar links as we do report links. However, until we come back, it's a possible workaround solution: tell your link to calendar for the current application, page 10 and assigns to P10_ITEM with a value & P1_ITEM... Edit this link to access a new page of 100 with the same session state settings, when the 100 page requires a checksum. On page 100, create a process before heading to do this:

    owa_util. REDIRECT_URL (apex_util.prepare_url (p_url =>'f? p =' |: APP_ID |)) ' : 10 :' || : APP_SESSION. '::NO::' || P10_ITEM | ':' || ((: P1_ITEM, p_checksum_type => 'PRIVATE_BOOKMARK'));

So if the user clicks on the link to the calendar, the visible URL in the location window should be in the form:

    http://host/pls/dad/f? p = app_id:10:session:NO:P10_ITEM: cs & some-value = 26A9030462248D4723CF46ABD4F5AA10A

This link contains a checksum of the user level and can be bookmarked and reused later by the same user.

Please let me know if it works for you.

Cryptography of show, for me, it seems that it works, but 192.168.27.x is not accessible.

The ASA original is still connected, I can post more details/config is necessary.

    The original thread is below...

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/thread/2167470?TSTART=0

    (1) your last ping test does not work when you ping from the ASA. You should test from an internal PC which is part of the definition of encryption.

    (2) in the "crypto ipsec to show his ' you see that this ASA revenue traffic, but nothing deciphered. So most likely the other end of the tunnel does not send anything back.

    How to get:

Show us the real Crypto - and routing-config of the IPSec peer.

The element of max-beans-in free-pool sets the maximum size of the EJB free pool for a specific entity bean, bean session without State or message-driven bean. Each bean class can define the size of its own pool for free using this element.

The element initial-beans on free-pool sets the initial number of instances of bean that will fill the free pool for a specific startup bean class. Filling the free pool with bodies improves initial response times, as initial applications for the bean can be met without generating a new instance.

In WebLogic, every bean in the application can specify that its initial and maximum pool size and pool size may vary considerably from one Bean to another class.  To determine the specific pool size, see the weblogic-ejb - jar.xml for one of these items:

To specify the size of the EJB pool in WebSphere Application Server, you can add an argument of the system to the JVM:

    1. In the administration console, select application-online-online Process Definition servername server => Java Virtual Machine.
    2. Add com.ibm.websphere.ejbcontainer.poolSize to the area of Generic JVM arguments, after all the existing JVM arguments. Here is an example that sets the size of the pool maximum and minimum of 1-5 for a bean called RuleEngineEJB:
    -Dcom.ibm.websphere.ejbcontainer.poolSize = myapp #RulesEngine.jar #example. RulesEngineEJB = 1, 5

For more details, see WebSphere Tuning EJB container .

    Hope this helps

  • Show only items returns Null while watch value

    Hello

I have a single display element (P1_ID) on my page in which:

Source: replacement always, value that exists in session state

Source type: SQL (return the unique value) query

    Select Max (ID) from User_table

I have a process that will remove data in another table based on the value of this element. (ID is PK in User_table and FK in my_table)

    DELETE FROM MY_TABLE WHERE ID =: P1_ID;

Zero or lines will be deleted

However, : P1_ID is null, while this is to show the value... when I do the point as hidden and protected the deletion will work... but I need to show the value on my page as show only...

    I use APEX 4.2

so could someone please help me?

case 1:-IF you use session state - YES

and dynamically change its value it give error protection session state in the future.

    Reference:--

    Session state protection violation

display only the item and save session state

case 2:- but if your session set State = no. it ends the session state protection error

but you will not be able to use the value defined in the feature display

Solution:-in your case if you want to use the value in the element displayed only as you say

It works with the value of the hidden Yes it will be.

either use your display for viewing only, and also set the value of element element hidden to remove from the table

    because

NOTE:-you cannot set save no. session and its value used in parallel (or it can be used to remove or add that I tested and faced this thing too)

one last thing keep hidden protected point value NO otherwise, it will give error:-manually editing the protected point

    Reference:--

    HI, Patrick:

We had the same problem that ' "violation of Page protection: this can be caused by a manual editing of a protected page items." " If you don't know what caused this error, contact the administrator of the application for assistance. Contact your administrator for the application. ».

    APEX 4.1.1.00.23 page protection violation

  • Embedded SQL in APEX

    Hello

    Apex. Oracle.com

    workspace: tb2, tb2/tb2

    App = 10208

    Take a look at:

    1 start_process (shared components / application process).

    create the table of work,

    2. process your work with application 99 - end end_user Page:

-Remove 'your line' in the table.

-check if the table is empty, and drop table if so,

    -standard action.

    Everything works fine without drop_table_process.

Table is empty, but still exists.

Earlier I had three in one process, but the result was the same.

To do the test, you should open as one of the operator and choose the order No. Now stored with the session settings is the insertion in the work table.

If you connect with other browsers (session) - second row will be inserted into the table.

When all users to disconnect - table should be deleted, but it is.

    Why?

    Concerning

    Ziut

Not sure how you plan several sessions to work.

Web sessions being stateless, you have no idea of the side server when a logical web session ends. In addition, such a logical session can be managed by a number any of sessions real db (aka the shared server process).

Apex has State tables (internal), which it uses to maintain the State of a web session. It also has an automated maintenance work that erases its tables of internal state of the obsolete sessions that were never explicitly narrow side client/web browser.

So if you assign a resource in the database for a logical web session, you must handle the cleaning of the obsolete web sessions that never ended. For example, if you create a table dedicated for a web session, you have code that will drop this table when the web session is considered expired.

If you share the same database resource (for example to create a single table) to be shared between web sessions, you have a problem of concurrency. The resource (for example table) does not exist. web sessions 2 (or more) are created at the same time (e.g. Apex logon app). Which will create the table? All the sessions he tries. All will fail, except one.

Similarly when you drop this resource? How do you know inside a web session that no other web sessions use this resource?

For example, in your code, you use a select count to determine if there are lines in the table. This may return zero. And before that your code can do table of gout, a commit is present since another db session that now adds lines to the table. Made in other words, the truth/State of the table changed between select County and the table of drop - while your code will assume that it would never happen.

I agree with other people's comments in this thread. This approach to dynamically create a shared resource for the sessions without State of Apex is fundamentally flawed - and not a value of any consideration.

  • Problem with fs_clone adoption after upgrade to R12.2.3 on the instance of SCREWS

I installed instance EBS R12.2.0 Vision on Oracle Linux Server version 6.5 x 86-64 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Module 3 (3.8.13 - 16.2.2.el6uek.x86_64) and then updated to R12.2.3.  Everything went smoothly with the initial installation, the AD and T2K patches and the adoption patch cycle to 12.2.3 update.  I'm having a problem with the fs_clone running, which is the first step of the subsequent update of doc 1586214.1.  The other phases of the adoption ran OK see below.  Also here is the error I get and you want to know if anyone has experienced this or ideas?  I searched google and MOS but couldn't find a direct hit.  I'm new to adoption and struggling to solve it... any help would be appreciated. I ran to the stage of fs_clone once or twice but I got the same result.

adoption-status-detail (it is the cycle of update R12.2.3).  Every step seems OK here.
