Set a value of the element of the Page in Javascript

I've created two elements on the page P9_DEVELOPMENT & P9_DEPARTMENT. The two select lists that are inspired by the shared components and in the sections of the list of the value of the properties display Null = Yes and Null = text "- Select -".

I want each selection list for mutually is when I select P9_DEVELOPMENT P9_DEPARTMENT is back 'Sélection' - and vice versa. I wrote a function javascript with the following assignment.

Logic sets the value of "P14_DEPARTMENT" empty, but I do not see "- select -". I get the same result with the statement

How can I reset the value of P14_DEPARTMENT and then displays the default "- select -"?

I then tried to create a page process, pl/sql,: P400_DISPLAY: = 'STORE '; If the button is pressed. The action of the button is submit page. However, it does not change the value of P400_DISPLAY and the subregions are hidden.

Suggestions please on how to fix the template or change the value of P400_DISPLAY?

The question of the root, it's that, even if you change the value of the element of your page, it is not visible to other areas of the page until it is in the session. Thus, any other action based on the value of the element of your page. the visibility of a control, a report based on the value of the item, etc. will be affected by changing the value of the item page until it has been changed in the session. Passing a value of item to another page via the button set to redirect to the page

I'm new to APEX and I develop an application to manage Oracle database user accounts. I have a (8) page that has text elements for the user name and the database name. I have a submit button (this works very well) who deliver... the ALTER USER statement to reset his password and unlock the account. I have another button that if:
1. get the value of username - P8_USERNAME
2. assign to an element of application - FIND_USER_IN_DB
3. redirect the page application - page 11
The issue is that FIND_USER_IN_DB does not get filled and page 11 which is a simple report with the following query:
SELECT *.
OF valid_db
WHERE username =: FIND_USER_IN_DB;
How to achieve this?

A page redirect is actually nothing more than the rendering of an anchor tag or call apex.navigation.redirect. The link provided by these is generated when the page is rendered. Thus, when the page is rendered (in charge) and P8_USERNAME session state is NULL, then the link will be an empty value. There is nothing sad about the fact that when you change the value of the element on a page that session state will not change automatically and it's just about understanding session state.

Let's say that you will present the session before the redirection if status point. Would it change anything? N ° the link, as I pointed out, has already been made, and no substitution of session state not be made on a redirect.

You'd better be off by submitting the page via the button instead of a redirect. This will set the session state of your object to the desired value. You can then use a branch to redirect to the correct page setting the value of an element whose state of session of P8_USERNAME. I set the default for this item.but I can't able to find value in the session state itself?

Setting cell values in the DataGrid control

I have a request to a custom component called DataEntryDataGrid (which is a subclass of mx:DataGrid) I started on this blog: http://blogs.Adobe.com/aharui/2008/03/custom_arraycollections_adding.html

The component works fine, but in this particular datagrid, I need special features. After the first line of data is entered in the tabs of the user in the following line, I need the first and second columns to be filled based on the values of the previous row and then I need to automatically focus on the cell in the third column. While the first and second columns must be always editable, they will be largely repetitive, and it would help if users did not have to enter the same numbers over and over again. The first column of the new row should be the same value as the first column in the last row and the second column of the new row should be (value of the last row + 1). Example:

The problem I have is that when I tab in the next line, the first value in the column don't prepare you. The second column gets the value correct and properly displayed and emphasis is placed in the correct cell (the third column), but the first column remains empty. I don't know why that is. If I put a breakpoint in the code in the function focusNewRow() (which is called in the event of the dataGrid "itemFocusIn") (first column) "slideNo" value is set to the correct value, but after the 'focusNewRow' work finishes, a dataProvider trace [the current line] .slideNo shows the value is empty. Non-null, just empty. Traces of all other columns indicate the correct values. Anyone have any ideas? Here is the code for my main application:

I think that in the NewEntryArrayCollection, I would wire up to generate a

populated point instead of where you are right now.

Value of the page element in the APA process not maintained after the send this page
Hello - I have a sequence of events that goes like this:

(1) region 0 REG_1 Page is rendered before footer
-REG_1 region uses javascript / AJAX to call App process PROC_1
-PROC_1 defines Page1 item PAGE1_MESSAGE for X
-After that PROC_1 runs correctly, REG_1 don't doSubmit()

(2) region 0 REG_2 Page is rendered before footer; in this case
After the page sent by REG_1. (Requirements to ensure that)
REG_1 has not yet reached)
-REG_2 region shows an alert PAGE1_MESSAGE (= X).
-REG_2 region uses javascript / AJAX to call App process PROC_2
-PROC_2 sets page 1 point PAGE1_MESSAGE to Y
-PROC_2 sets point Application DEBUG to PAGE1_MESSAGE (this is for debugging)
-PROC_2 defines the point of Application APP_MESSAGE to Y (this is also for debugging)
-After that PROC_2 runs correctly, REG_2 don't doSubmit()

(3) after that REG_2 sent the page, here's what I have:
-Point application APP_MESSAGE = y. good. That's what it has been for PROC_2.
-Point Page 1 PAGE1_MESSAGE is bad. X. That's what he has been put to in PROC_1.
-Point application DEBUG = y. good. This shows at least that PAGE1_MESSAGE was
the value Y in PROC_2... but for some reason this value is not be kept

Yes, Hidden Items by usually default state saves. But this isn't the problem in this case because I had changed the item to display only (state saved) and that did not help. Finally back in doesnot save state.

Try to replace alert (ajaxResponse); with the lines below

Maybe the session state is defined (server), but the value in the DOM HTML (browser) to P1_MESSAGE_1 is not defined. If adding the line above works then the hypothesis is correct.

Yes, I made this change, because it was a reference in itself I think it was redundant. And I had to correct what I thought is not just before debugging. Which cannot be linked to the problem though.

How do I dynamically set values of the pages on a null value when an item is changed

Hi all
I am new to Oracle Apex.
I have P_ITEM1 as a selection and P_ITEM2 also a list selection of value P_ITEM1. (to my condition that I do not use cascading article Parent LOV)
I submit the page when the P_ITEM1 value is selected then LOV on P_ITEM2 gets refreshed based on the P_ITEM1 value.
I am train to clear the item previously selected to P_ITEM2 when the value of P_ITEM1 is changed.
I tried to create a dynamic action on the change on P_ITEM1 event and net Action on P_ITEM2.
and the dynamic action does not work.

Set the attribute area of the Page to send items to P_ITEM2. He would submit the P_ITEM2 on dynamic action of refreshment.
