Set as default print 2 sides for OfficeJet Pro 8600

Hi there - I can't seem to set the printing default for the 8600 in 2 pages.  I tried in Mac/settings and on the Web server, but no luck - of ideas?

I have a 8600 using a Mac with the MAvericks, I have the full install software

Thank you very much. I'll make this a try when I'm home. I admit that this printer is more problematic than others I have used. Regardless, thank you. I'll test it later and give glory...

  • Set up the scan to E-mail for Officejet Pro 8600

I'm trying to set up the scan to E-mail for an Officejet Pro 8600. In SAP, I configured the mail server correctly (received confirmation by e-mail). In other posts I found that I need to put in place the profile of outgoing e-mail through the tab on the built-in Web server, but it is not option, nor is it a deposit Email section.

Also, when I use the HP (on Mac OS Lion) utility and click on the Scan to e-mail setting, I get the Scan start setting Email button. This brings me to the SAP, but the page does not load correctly: there is no instruction whatsoever.

Someone at - it no clues?

Ignore that - I realized that the 8600 Pro does not support this feature... only the 8600 ProPlus made.

  • Google cloud print for officejet pro 8600 - could not get information at hp printer.

I just bought a new of OfficeJet Pro 8600 today. Everything seems to work perfectly except for the Google Cloud Print connector. I can print of AirPrint, as well as e-mails to the address hpeprint.com, but when I try to record using the google site, I get the error message "could not pass information on HP printer.

The printer is connected by ethernet wireless and it seems to work find out otherwise. I have no restrictions that can send print jobs and I changed the email address for hpeprint.com several times, as suggested in other forum threads, but it can never connect to the Cloud Print service. I'm at the level of the last firmware listed on the HP website. I tried to open the connection of several PC if several web browsers though.

It was an important factor in the purchase of this printer. Help someone?

OK, nothing is different tonight, but it just worked. I had just opened a chat to HP support and he gave another chance just to confirm, and I came to the page "registration successful". Prints crossed chrome without any problem. I made no changes to the printer, PC, or network. So, the best advice I can give is - it wait a few days... If all goes well, he continues to work :-)

  • Gridlines do not print in excel using officejet pro 8600

I use a macbook pro running 10.6.8 with a brand new HP officejet Pro 8600 printer all-in-one. When I try to print a spreadsheet, the lines around each cell will not print.

    Hello

In Excel 2007, gridlines appear not on a workbook or a worksheet print by default.

Steps below explains how you can display gridlines in your printed worksheets.

Select the worksheet or worksheets that you want to print.

On the tab layout, in the sheet Options group, select the check box print gridlines.

NOTE: If the check boxes in the sheet Options group are grayed out, it may be because you have a graphic, image or other object selected on the worksheet. If you cancel this selection, you will be able to use the checkboxes.

    and then click on print.

  • OCR for Officejet Pro 8600 8.1 on windows software

I have an Officejet Pro 8600 that I installed on two computers. When I installed the HP software for this printer on my PC Windows 7 it included I.R.I.S OCR software. When I installed the software on my PC for Windows 8.1, there not. I went on a HP download site and downloaded the I.R.I.S. app but when I installed it I got a message that "you don't have this software update. I suspect that the 8.1 Windows is not supported. Is it? Are there any plans to support? The Officejet Pro Solutions and features Guide says it supports ReadIris. Is this correct?

Hello WilliamsburgVAand welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you run in the OCR issues.  I'd like to help!

He may have had a problem with the initial installation. I would recommend uninstalling the software of the printer.

I would then reinstall using the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Cannot update firmware for Officejet Pro 8600 N911a

I can't upgrade the firmware in my Officejet Pro 8600 N911a.  My current firmware is CKP1CN1416AR.  According to the HP drivers website, the latest firmware is CLP1CN1322CR.  I get the update to run and it identifies my printer, but it won't let me select it.  I use the printer on a wireless network, but I'm trying to run the update of the firmware via USB.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Sunshyn2005,

Please provide information on this issue.

Apparently, the problem that your customers have is that they are wasting their time trying to update the firmware on their printers and after a few hours of frustration they finally know that HP has a firmware update file on its Web site that has a date that is much newer than the firmware itself.

HP should do the following to make the process less frustrating firmware update:

    1. establish dates and version numbers in the file metadata which clearly indicate what firmware file is more recent.

    2. keep the HP web site up-to-date with the latest versions of firmware.

3 Broudly and transparent announce to the public when an update will be made and why.

    4. establish technology so that firmware can be updated on wireless links so that the networks do not have to be reconfigured to make the firmware updates.

  • Best driver for Officejet Pro 8600 on Ubuntu Hardy

I'm running Ubuntu Hardy (hplip 2.8.2). What is the best driver for the Officejet Pro 8600 (N911a)?

    Hello

The 8600 Pro Officejet required HPLIP 3.11.10 version or above, I fear tha Ubunto Hardy is too old and does not support the model.

As you can see below the device is supported only on Lucid or newer versions of Ubuntu:

  • Change the default settings for Officejet Pro 8600 wireless printing

I can't find a place to print in color, project.  The printer will print in color, black and white, black & white project, but nothing else unless I change something.  And I don't understand how to change/use settings predefined.  There is nothing in my user manual helping to something else than basic printer installation tips.  (In fact, this can hardly be called a "user manual" because it is mainly a "installation manual".)  Can you advise?

    Hi SHSH128,

Now, knowing your operating system, I can't help but to wonder if you use AirPrint driver and not the driver of HP. This is perhaps why the options you are looking for are not available.

Follow these steps to check which driver you are using.

Click on the Apple icon > System Preferences > print and scan, click on the printer so that it appears highlighted and look over to the centre/right of the window for printing and scanning. You say AirPrint?

If you see AirPrint link to the image above, click on the symbol less to remove the printer, and then click the plus sign and select "add another printer or a Scanner.  Select your printer and next to the 'use' to choose your printer driver. See the image below.

If you already use the HP driver, let me know and I'll see what I can find. Thank you.

I uninstalled the software, downloaded the complete set version 28.8 instead of using the CD that came with your printer, Version 24.4. Now, everything seems to work properly. Kudos to ciccarelli for assistance.
