• EqualLogic PS4000 discs

  Hello

  We have a SAN EqualLogic PS4000 network for our Veeam backup and the warranty is over. My problem is that a drive has faild and needs to be replaced. The thing is, we have a 'spare' PS4000 that we do use. The question is whether it is possible to use the disks in the SAN spare wheel in that we use for backups? Has anyone tried this before?

  Hello Magnus,

  Assuming that the units have identical type discs AND the other Bay is reset, yes you could swap the drives.   If the other Bay is configured, the RAID information on the disk will confuse the table of production thinking there are a number of logical unit that is failing.  So it won't work as a spare.

  Kate,

  I can't reproduce this behavior. When I have defined XRefFile as an absolute path, then save under MIFID, I see a path relative to the MIFID. The exception is if I specify an invalid path, FrameMaker retains the absolute path. I don't know what to say beyond that. Are you sure you set a valid path to a file?

  I use VMware Player 3 in a box of Windows 7.

  I need to set a default path for my virtual machines.

  With Windows XP, I used to edit the %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\VMware\preferences.ini file and insert a line that looks like defaultVMPath = "C:\work\vm".

  In Windows 7, I found a file whose name is C:\users\ < username > \AppData\Roaming\VMware\preferences.ini but I can't find the exact syntax for the string, I have to add.

  Is this the right file to edit?

  In this case, create a table alias for c then give mapping between c b and alias.

  We try to get our facility to the place where there only one active correction in a data store by setting only 1 active NETWORK card on a switch or a port group. It works well for some data warehouses, but not others. Our storage is active/passive and data warehouses on the LUNS accessed via controller B show a path which is what we want and on accessible LUNS via controller data warehouses a show 2 paths to the data store that we don't want.   Active cards and active paths are not the same thing.  An active NIC on the server, but several destinations, gives several paths through this unique Server NIC, but multiple cards storage network destination.

  If you really want to limit the number of paths, you must limit your destinations as well.

  In addition, on this screen where you can see/manage the available paths to the storage, you right-click and disable the path you want to be usable.

We want to output, gain adjustment, used by the "Shunt DAQmx Perform (strain) .vi calibration" for each caliber. We've had some success using a property node (see attached pictures 1 and 2); However, when we try to use the same method to achieve adjustment gain, any other strain gauges (picture 3), the readings are always 0 (visible) in image 2.

  You can be is 0 because there are several channels in the same task, then the property node does not know the following. You can set the active channel by using the Active Channel property node.
