  When I print a Web page to a .pdf or .xps file, it creates a new file, but file Explorer says it's 0 KB in size. When I print an .xps file, File Explorer shows that it contains 0 KB. When I try to open it, I get a message saying that the XPS Viewer cannot open the file.   You should not disable since you are allowed to have two active facilities.  But if you don't want to have a backup available facility, and then to turn it off, just to open one of the applications and choose disable in the Help menu.  That will disable the suite together.

  To install on the new machine, simply install it yourself you did initially.  If you downloaded it initially then you'd find a link for it to yoru online Adobe account.  Otherwise, you will find a link to the next page:

I tried setting up my external hard drive and transfer just a couple of files just to see if it would work. I sent them to my desktop from my laptop and they also went to my documents, but once the hard drive is disconnected files will not open.   I understand that you have copied your files on an external drive from your old computer.

  You tried to copy the files to the new computer, but when you disconnect the external hard drive the files are no longer accessible.

  I think that you have created or copied a shortcut to the new computer and not the actual files.  When you're logged out outside the new computer had more disk access to open files.

  I would like to redo the copy and when you finished externally, log out and then try again.
