setback? No trackpad!

What the devil?  (Being polite here)... I do not have a trackpad and I can't seem to hit screens with my mouse... My programs to jump off the screen to the right or the left and I'm wasting time trying to get back them.  I have to use F10 and find... It is NOT easy for me...

How to control my screens or disable this @# $ "feature"! ???

BTW, did a search and could not find anything related...

TIA,

You can try it took off by turning in the system preferences/mouse if I understand what you try to do.

I have been using Apple TrackPad with a laptop work (published by company, Windows only) for several years now. Working recently been upgraded to Windows 10 laptop and TrackPad Apple seems to not work well.

Is there anywhere I can download the boot camp 6.0 or more precisely that of Apple TrackPad driver pack?

Please download the general of brigade (https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier). A Mac is easier, but it also works well on Windows, provided that you have installed some of the underlying software that brigadier needs. You must provide a model of Mac and it will provide a WindowsSupport.dmg for this specific Mac/model on which this trackpad is supported.

  • After the update of Sierra: not to Disable Trackpad with Magic Mouse connected

    Hello

After that I updated to macOS Sierra on my MacBook Pro the Trackpad is not disable mouse connected with Magic.

Feature: MacBook Pro retina 15 inches (end of 2014) on macOS Sierra.

Since the update, I noticed that my stays compatible with my Magic Mouse connected after built-in trackpad window connection.

In system-> accessibility-> mouse and Trackpad preferences, I have not "ignore the built-in trackpad when mouse or trackpad wireless is present". If I switch it off and on again once again, the parameter will be.

However, once I lock the device (user name right-> connection... window) and reconnect, the trackpad works. You must pass the parameter each time.

Is this a bug of Mac OS Sierra (can't find anything) or am I missing something? I am aware that the trackpad is reactivated at the login window, but before it will deactivate after logging in.

I don't use Magic Mouse, but I have USB Wired mouse and I have the same problem since installing Sierra.

I have the box ticked, but I must go and clear the check box and then save.

I have to use a mouse all the time because my trackpad goes haywire and I wasn't able to find a solution for this. It moves its own and open stuff on its own.

  • Trackpads only 2 fingers scrolling on the Mac Mini

I have two Magic trackpad (wireless), a couple of years; No will 2 fingers scrolling on my Mac Mini (try them for the first time on the Mini). both work fine on my other machines.  All machines are updated to the latest version of El Capitan, a lot of RAM.  Same settings trackpad on all machines.  The movement of the cursor trackpad, highlighting, click Select OK on the Mini, but no two fingers scrolling, without pinching to resize.  Have not checked all the possibilities, but lack of scrolling is a deal breaker.  Track pad update 1 is too old, have not found another.  Tried with mouse wireless on and outside.  A run first aid.  Reinstalled the system software.  Even enabled the scrolling options, the settings of the mouse.  Help!

If two of your machines running El Capitan and touchpads are version 1 of Trackpad, it is probably the reason.   While versions more old mouse and trackpad will work to some extent, all the features with El Capitan requires the version of Magic Trackpad 2.   The MT2 has developed especially for El Capitan and later operating systems.   I know that it's a nuisance, but the new trackpad is levied directly on your machine and needs no battery.

In fact, I'm not sure I can get this intermediate response click at any point that used to be present in El Capitan.

    Hey Lonnie Warpup,.

If I understand correctly, you are using macOS Sierra and you try to use the power of touch, but it does not perform this action.
I would recommend that you read these articles, they explain if your device supports the Force Touch, with a setting to enable and disable the Force Touch and how to set the sensitivity and how to turn the Look up feature words.

The Magic Trackpad and Magic Trackpad 2 supports all available on laptops Apple trackpad gestures.

If your trackpad supports force by one click, you can set the gesture of looking up to use it instead of a tap. (To force the click, press firmly until you hear a click deep.)

  • MacBook keyboard AND Trackpad works do not!

    Hello

This morning when I opened my mac, my keyboard and trackpad were insensitive. The only button that worked was the power button. I shut it down and then instead of open a log in screen, it opened to a screen that was an animation of an external mouse and trackpad. I could move the arrow when I plugged in the mouse, but I couldn't type. I do not have an external keyboard that I can plug so I don't know if it would work.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? I need my laptop to work as soon as POSSIBLE!

  • Trackpad MacBook Pro late 2011 does not not after upgrade

I just update the OS in my MacBook Pro (late 2011) which worked perfectly well 'El Capitan' to 'Sierra '. Everything went, smooth and pleasant. but now, the trackpad is completely erratic, is in itself (such as move and open programs like possessed). I tried several suggestions from apple such as checking for updates, check the settings, delete all the gestures, etc. I'm assuming that the material is very well that was perfectly fine yesterday... any suggestions please help.   -Note; I have to use an external mouse, and the latter is very well.

    Hello Med_,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding that after upgrading to Sierra, your MacBook trackpad has become erratic. I know that my trackpad is an important part of my daily use, I can certainly understand your concern. I'm here to help get this resolved with you.

You did an excellent job so far! Then I recommend the system management controller (SMC) reset. This system can solve some unexpected behaviors. Follow the steps below:

    1. Stop the Mac.
    2. Unplug the MagSafe from Mac power adapter.
    3. Remove the battery. (Learn about removing the battery in the MacBook and MacBook Pro computers).
    4. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    5. Reconnect the battery and the MagSafe power adapter.
    6. Press the power button to turn on the Mac.

The LED on the MagSafe power adapters could change State or temporarily disable when you reset the SMC.

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac.

If the problem persists, test this problem in safe mode. This will allow you to exclude the software as the cause. To help get started in safe mode and additional steps, use the steps and the link below:

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
    3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

    See you soon!

  • gesture trackpad of three fingers to select text does not work on the sierra

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid-2014 retina). After upgrade to sierra trackpad gesture to select text using three fingers does not work. Instead, I saw that now a press and hold your finger and drag to select the text, it's very painful and does not work perfectly as three fingers gesture.

If by mistake the press with a single finger is lost text selection stop there and have to start over and it also causes mild pain if the selection is long.

Please let me know if anyone knows how to get the text selection gesture three fingers in sierra.

  • Inverted Magic Trackpad works do not with Sierra

I used my Magic Trackpad 1 upside down (upside down) position through several improvements to the OS. (It's ergonomic healthier than the standard position, which insists on the wrist). I just upgraded to Sierra and the inversion command no longer works. Does anyone have a solution?

  • The trackpad gestures do not work with Sierra

Immediately after the upgrade to the Sierra, the gestures of the regular trackpad that I had previously used with OS X have stopped working on my Macbook Pro. It's the operation slide 3 fingers, 4 fingers slide up to open mission control, sweeping to 4 fingers down to open the presentation App and the 4 finger swipe left/right to switch between desktops.

I checked in the trackpad system preferences section, and all these actions are enabled and should be works very well, which leads me to believe that this is a problem with macOS Sierra.

Has anyone experienced something similar or found a solution for this?

(PS. Yes, I use better contact tool, but that does not provide a satisfactory solution)

In my system preferences, I don't see the option for 3 fingers listed longer. Which is a shame, because I use it all the time.

  • macOS Sierra will not be closed if the trackpad and keyboard wireless is connected

Hi, after switching to macOS Sierra, the first time that I stop my MacBook Pro, it is stuck on the dark screen with the spinning ball. I had to force him to stop by the power button. The next same thing occurs. After looking in the console log, I noticed something related to bluetooth and I discovered that my wireless keyboard and trackpad are both connected (usually, I work with my MacBook Pro on a stand and I use the wireless keyboard and the trackpad). I unplugged the bluetooth and Mac went off smoothly. Did someone else experienced this problem? And does anyone have and idea about it? With El Capitan I could turn off the mac no matter what was connected...

    Thank you.

I try to remove the two devices in preferences Bluetooth, then re - match.

I use them with a MacBook Pro, but I use Trackpad and keyboard with a Mini and not have not had any problems.
