Several calls to transport.isConnected () (SMTP) on IIS causes 421. Known issue?

Hello people,

I thought I'd share a recent discovery that I spent some time to nail, in recent days.

If you use JavaMail to connect to IIS SMTP intermittently call transport.isConnected () to check if you are always connected, IIS will cut your connection with the following error:

"421 too many errors on this connection - closed.

Is this a known issue with IIS? I came across this on IIS 7.5, but found a reference to mention version 5.0 so long. Microsoft Web site mention this rather nonchalantly here i.e.

NOOP CRLF

The receiver-SMTP should send a 250 response to the NO OPERATION command. The only other possible answers are a 500 response, which indicates the incorrect command syntax, or the 421 response, indicating that the SMTP service will close shortly.

This seems to contradict RFC2821 about NOOP support...

Is there a better way to check if the transport is always connected, if we send a lot of e-mail in a single connection? I call isConnected() twice during a shipment. I'm disconnected after 8 emails are sent on a connection.

If there is a known issue on IIS, it can be added on the wiki of javamail?

Thank you

Hammad.

Thanks for the reply of Bill.

The problem with IIS is that it disconnects on sends repeated NOOP - about 16 NOOPs during a session it will be disconnected. I was able to keep my connection by setting true the property "mail.smtp.userset".

Hammad.

  • I have received several calls from a company called the Technical Department of "eprotectionz" offering to get rid of the virus, is this a hoax?

Hi there, hope someone can help me on this issue.

I received several calls from a company called 'eprotectionz' technical department which proposes to rid your computer of an "infection" (no virus) apparently slowing down Windows. In a first time, I finished the callwhen they began to ask questions about my computer.  They are appatently a global company - I am based in Australia and on checking their site, they operate out of the Australia and other countries. Their phone number here in Aust is 02-8091-0114. This company is legitimate.  I become more suspicious when they ask to enter my computer remotely while I followed the instructions to remove the so-called infection.  I don't trust everybody these days and trust no one! What do you think?? Thanks in advance,

  • How to avoid the stalemate between count with all and several calls from an EP getBackingMapEntry...

We have a processor input, which initiates a transaction lite by calling getBackingMapEntry on several similar entries.  The same cache distributed these similar entries of accommodation also simultaneously services count with all call and we often a blocking scenario comes from the fact that the count with all call trying to access/key in the same cache block - but in a different sequence - date entry processor accessed (for example, the European Parliament access to similar input 1 then similar input 2 while the count with all attempts to block the same but entries in sequence 2) then the entry 1).  The obvious solution is to change the sequence entry processor accesses these entries to match the sequence used by the count with all operation, but we do not know what sequence consistency applies to operations NamedCache.getAll.  Anyone know?  We believe that we excluded (e.g., consistency does not consider wrt the count with all access sequence) the following:

    • The sequence in an ordered collection of keys such as a list that is passed as an argument to count with all operation
    • The hash code of the key value
    • Any use of Comparable on the keys

We use 3.7.1 consistency where it varies between 3.7.1 and 12 c.

    Thanks in advance.

We've thought of it (always happens shortly after the publication on a support site).  If anyone is curious, it seems that the binary class implements Comparable and that consistency sorts instance converted by binary key and access the Scriptures based on this order sorted.  If the entry processor converts the keys to binary instances, sorts and accessed in sorted order, there is no potential blocking (of our observations, at least).  It would be nice if Oracle should document this that people better understand how to write safe concurrent code.

  • Connection of several call library function node

First of all, I apologize if some of these issues are pretty basic. For my work, I have been teaching myself LabVIEW (using one of the books) for the last two months, in addition to a course of semesters of C++ software development. I have flowed through a few examples from the book and have searched these forums + google search, but I found the contradictory and confusing information on how to manage the C string data.

I have attached a photo of the block diagram, the real VI and a manual describing the .dll file I'll call you. My real application is more complicated than what I've built here (I installed a trial version free at home, since I can't bring my lab computers files due to their having no do not have access to the internet...) There install everything for us, but it's a side story!), but deals with execution other than that, as I have the VI wrapped around an imposing event that runs based on which side a user presses the button, messages pop up additional user, etc..

In the end, I'll implement a program which allows a user presses a single button that sends a bunch of instructions to an instrument, where requested orders have been compiled by the society of the instrument in a couple of .dll files. The instrument itself be held the certain function specifications, so there is not much need to worry to get somewhere, out string parameters to be stored, and there is no reception data of the instrument: it simply distributes liquid charges based on what parameters I pass to it. Given the same internet connection problems, I have to wait a few weeks for my IT team installed a decompiler of .dll file on the computer that has installed LabVIEW so that I hope that I can directly import the header file in the Import Wizard. I worked out of their manual without even being able to look in the .dll file (which may be more documentation), and they do not have the more detailed documentation on their data types (even if maybe these data types are public knowledge, and I'm just missing something). I went ahead and copied + pasted some of their function prototypes + example code pages 16 and 17 of the provided pdf (it looks like to me a C calling convention):

'Functions of the DLL to talk to the PiezoElectronics.

Public Function declare bfx_piezo_OpenPort Lib "bfx_piezocontrol.dll" (ByVal portname As String) As Integer

Public Function declare bfx_piezo_ClosePort Lib "bfx_piezocontrol.dll" () As Integer

Public Function declare bfx_piezo_SetupPiezo Lib "bfx_piezocontrol.dll" (ByVal StrokeLength As Double, ByVal DownStrokeVelocity As Double, ByVal HoldTime As Integer, ByVal UpStrokeVelocity As Double, ByRef LoadTime As Double, ByRef LoadCurrent As Double, ByRef UnloadTime As Double, ByRef UnloadCurrent As Double) As Integer

    ' Search for electronics

RC = bfx_autodetect_SearchPiezo (False, PiezoElectronicsPort, PiezoElectronicsDev)

If rc = 0 then MsgBox("No electronics could be detected", MsgBoxStyle.Critical)"error message LogLabel.Text ="no electronics could be detected.

    On the other

    Action.Enabled = True '

Device found-> activate the button LogLabel.Text = "Piezoelectronics" found on the Port & PiezoElectronicsPort

    RC = bfx_piezo_OpenPort (PiezoElectronicsDev) ' establish communication

    If rc = 0 Then LogLabel.Text = "open e".

    End If

    End Sub

    Private Sub Action_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Action.Click

Dim rc As Integer ' to store the return code of the dll

Dim LoadTime, LoadCurrent, UnloadTime, UnloadCurrent As Double ' to store the values returned by the dll

RC = bfx_piezo_ConfigurePiezo (PiezoCapacity, PiezoVoltagePerStroke) ' Tell the dll of the distributor of physics

If rc = 0 Then LogLabel.Text = "Configured distributor" "configure the parameters of dosage

RC = bfx_piezo_SetupPiezo (stroke, beat down, HoldTime, ascending, UnloadTime, UnloadCurrent, LoadCurrent and LoadTime) rc += bfx_piezo_Repeat (repetitions, RepeatDelay)

If rc = 0 Then LogLabel.Text = "Setup dosage settings."

Only four interested features me search piezo, open port, configure piezo and piezo installation, as seen on my block diagram. My questions concern only the setup functions / openport piezo and how I built the library call nodes function, since these would also address how to set up the other two. When running VI, I get the error code is 1517, with installation function highlighted, leading me to believe that I have this feature badly adjusted upward (and Potentially openport, explained in the next paragraph).

Function to open the port has two string parameters that are passed by reference, and configure the function takes one of the following strings as a call by value. Can I just wire them together as I did, or is it necessary to do something in the sense of adding a sub - VI GetValueAtPointer to dereference firstly, the pointer to the string and then spend the actual string on the second node?

To specify the data types in the function library call nodes, I have all channels like C strings, double as double, return numeric values as integers signed 32 (each function returns a digital long I think that for debugging purposes), Boolean as an integer 16 bit signed (after that I forced my Boolean constant in an integer) and one of my numbers in Setup as an integer no signed, as I was told in an e-mail from the manufacturer of the instrument. Should we indicate the call launched by numbers as constants value, or not, since they are not explicitly defined as constants in the code provided? Since they have been specified not as long, I am right to assume signed 16-bit integer for the passage by the digits of the value? Is the Boolean value a 8-bit or 16-bit and signed? If the function has a numeric parameter as a value call, I guess by the wiring in a digital constant, that this value is transferred to the function?

Again, I apoligize if these questions are too simplistic (and many of them), due to my limited experience programming and possibly scarce documentation of the company during the inspection. I look forward comments about the VI as well, if I had nothing at all just illegal/bad practice.

    Thank you for your time!

First of all, I'm really not familiar with C/C++ dll, but I remember something the DLL must contain the standard C functions to properly accessible from LabVIEW. I don't know if this is the case here, but lets see more will enlighten this part.

Second, whenever I have the chance to directly use the simple series commands, I go like this, and I create my own live LabVIEW. As I see in the attached pdf doc, it is possible to order the material through the series without using the DLL (on page 18). If these features meet your needs, I would really screw via VISA program, your life will be much easier...

As far as I know, invalidate will get infrastructure to call paint twice, once to paint blurred and new areas to paint the update.  Why don't you try disconnected from the moveFocus() to see what changes this causes?

About drawFocus, you have not overridden the drawFocus at all routine, because his signature looks like this:

protected void drawFocus (graphics graphics, boolean on)

    You have substituted him:

    Public Sub drawFocus()

I wonder if anyone can help please. When I receive calls on my Blackberry Curve 8900 - the name of the appellant are not displayed on the screen (only the phone number). I saved all the names in my address book. I find it quite frustrating (I never know that name and had to memorize numbers).

Thank you in advance for your help! Best regards, Irene

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

It could be one of the three solutions... Try these:

    1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.
Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

    2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

    3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no

  • Delays in DAQmxWriteRaw when you use several cards PXI-6733

    Application:
I have an application that generates and writes the analog data at 300 kHz slightly underneath.  Data generation and output take place every 14 ms (we'll call it who a 'block',) through an event EveryNSamples leave a timing sheet.  In each block, 4000 samples of analog data are generated and output to 6 of the 8 channels of analog output of the PXI-6733.  The output buffer is set to twice the block 4000 writing samples and pre-filled with 4000 zeros, so the output is always a block behind the data generated.  If a single block exceeds 14ms to generate and write on the analog samples, the output buffer will be against the wall and exit stop (regeneration is disabled.)  I recently needed to add more than 10 output channels, so I installed a second PXI-6733 map in the chassis and set up a second analog output task to write the second map.

    Problem:
    As analog data are generated on demand in each block of 14 ms, the program cannot take more than 14ms to generate the data and write them on the cards, otherwise we will underflow analog output.  Thus, any unwanted delay must be avoided.  Data generation stage does not take very long (in my test it is off and decision< 1ms,)="" but="" i'm="" seeing="" some="" problems="" when="" i="" write="" the="" data="" to="" the="" pxi="" cards. ="" i'm="" using="" the="" daqmxwriteraw="" function="" to="" write="" the="" samples="" to="" the="" cards. ="" the="" function="" is="" being="" called="" twice="" every="" update="" loop:="" once="" for="" each="" output="" task="" (card). ="" when="" i="" added="" the="" second="" card,="" i="" noticed="" that="" occasionally="" the="" call="" to="" daqmxwriteraw="" would="" take="" much="" longer="" than="" 14ms,="" causing="" buffer="" underrun="" errors="" (-200016)="" on="" the="" second="" card,="" or="" regeneration="" errors="" (-200290)="" on="" the="" first="" card. ="" i="" inserted="" timing="" markers="" around="" each="" call="" to="" daqmxwriteraw,="" and="" i="" see="" that="" normally="" the="" calls="" each="" take="" around="" 4.8e-5="" seconds="" to="" complete="" on="" card="" 1="" (whether="" alone="" or="" in="" conjunction="" with="" card="" 2). ="" on="" card="" 2,="" the="" calls="" take="" usually="" take="" about="" 4.8e-5="" seconds="" to="" complete,="" but="" they="" occasionally="" spike="" to="" between="" 5="" and="" 40ms="" (e.g.="" 6="" out="" of="" 300="">

I wonder what would cause these erratic spikes in time it takes to DAQmxWriteRaw BIE called on the second card.  Is there a known issue with the help of 2 PXI - 6733 s in the same PXI chassis?  Could there be some sort of conflict of resources (not enough channels DMA, etc?)  The two report cards they have in DMA mode, and fill FIFO priority is set to NotEmpty.  The problem also occurs when the transfer mechanism is set to interruptions.

    Other Observations:
I noticed the first edge of calendar corresponds to the point in the program to the location of loading the dll "nicesru.dll."  I can't find any information that features in this dll, and I don't know if it's a symptom or a cause.

I also noticed that when an error occurs, I can't seem to stop and clear the tasks of production.  After trying to stop it and cancel all active jobs, keeps blinking the link on the PXI chassis light.  To reset, the only way is to go into solution of measurement and Automation Explorer and reset the second card 6733 manually (or use ResetDevice C calling).  There seems to be only the second PXI-6733, and it also happens when using the test panels in the MAX program.

    Material:
    PXI chassis, 1033

    E5-2687W CPU Xeon

    Software:
    Windows XP SP3 32-bit
    NOR-DAQmx 9.0.2
    Visual Studio 2008 sp1

I was able to solve the problem by moving the PCIe card in the PC to another location.  I assumed the problem was with how bus PCIe are managed by the motherboard, or how the resources have been allocated to the cards in this particular niche.  Move the map on the slot 16 second x on the motherboard seems to have solved my schedule delays.

  • What are user defined variables (UDV)?

I'm trying to debug an application in real time and have worked on known issues for LabVIEW Real-time 2011. There is a term called "user defined Variables (UDV)" that opens occationally document known issues with other documents. It seems that UDVs can be created under target FPGA but I am unable to find any useful information on them. I know only local, global, shared, single, variable IO process.

    Hi Lucie,.

The /o Variables using the help documentation gives a pretty good explanation of what a user-defined variable is in the section "data i/o Variables for Custom FPGA of e/s". I hope that this documentation helps!
