Several locations open simultaneously

I've upgraded to 2015.3 this morning. A bug that I have is that if I double click on a location in the project window, Ben opens several times (usually 6-10). I chatted with support this afternoon and they said to save my work and reset the workspace. It worked once. Since then, I tried the same remedy without result. Any ideas?

Hi all

We are aware of this problem and the product team working on it.

Note that this only occurs when the behavior of double-tap of bins is set to "open a new tab". If you change the preference 'Open in a new window', the problem goes away.

Thank you

Try Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.

A way of solving problems, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open the mode without failure of Firefox 4.0 + by pressing the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.

Do not choose anything at the moment, just use 'continue in safe mode.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.

If it's good in Firefox Safe mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.

  • Scanning preview. He made several PDF opens at the same time. Combine one?

I use a scanner to digitize old financial records as pdf with preview files.

The problem is if you do not do so in a single batch, the result is that you do not get a single pdf file. You end up having several files opened, named "Untitled", "Untitled 2", "Untitled 3" etc. "

Is it possible for one) avoid what is happening in the first place? or (b) just tell the computer to merge files into a single pdf file?

If I could do it easily the whole operation would be less stressful.

I think remember me something useful:

    close the preview.

Select all the files you want.

Drag them (in a group) on the preview icon.

In Firefox 3, when I got to close the program to have several tabs open, Firefox asked me if I wanted to save and remember the tabs open, so that I can get them at the next restart of Firefox. Firefox 4 is no more. Is it because I have have not properly set up somehow, or is this normal? How can I recover this function?

  • Whenever I try to open a new tab in Safari, it closes in on my previous page. How should I do so that I can have several tabs open?

Whenever I try to open a new tab in Safari, it closes in on my previous page. How should I do so that I can have several tabs open?

What version of OS/Safari do you use?

    Try a reboot.

Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Isolate a problem by using a different user account

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

Of course, it looks like infections are present.

Run ADWcleaner https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/ it's free and one of the only malware cleanup tools that I trust.  Malwarebytes can be used, but be careful to not take the trial or use the pro version.  Virtually all the removal tools known as maleware are in themselves of malware.

If you are unable to get sufficient control, download ADWcleaner into the USB port on another computer.

I assume you mean to Internet Explorer (IE)?  If you are, reset

Multiple OS question at the start is usually someone re - install Win7, but unless you first delete the existing partition.

Now, this is a controversial subject, but your choice of AV software may be something you want to take a 2nd look.  I suggest you visit this website to get an idea of what AV software made the best work, depending on what type of user you are: http://www.av-comparatives.org/ is a non-profit that has been around for a long time and I hope that their results.

When you interpret these results, remember the difference between a product that detects 95% and the other 99% of infections, it is actually 5 times more likely to allow an infection.

I care about 140 Windows PCs and I have more than 13 years.  Until last September, the only AV software that I would allow my clients to use was Norton Antivirus.  Note that this is not the same as any other product, Norton 360 or Internet Security.

Last September, Symantec (Norton owner) decided to no longer sell such a product.  After much research, I decided on Bitdefender Antivirus 2015 +.  I installed it on more than half of these PC so far and has never been a problem.  In fact, I think it's a better product than even Norton.  One of the things I love the most about it, is the silence and discretion.  It is also cheap.

My customers know that if they install any product of 'Internet Security', I won't work on their computers until it is deleted.  Very well, I learned the hard way that the other components of these products (other than the AV itself) IS caused more problems than any profit that they bring and work primarily by stopping the Windows component that does a very good job of this particular task still.  My problem is that when I started to work on a computer with an IS on it, I could spend hours trying to diagnose the problem, only to find out that by taking the product of the IS, the problems have become much clearer and easier to solve.  I think that the product of the IS actually hides the problem.

As I said.  It is a controversial topic and you will find many different very strong opinions.  I know that mine is based on a fairly large sample over a long period, and are consumers of consumer type Windows.

Another thing you need to know: you can delete not entirely of most any AV software simply by using the standard uninstallation tool Windows 7.  Most of the majors also publishes a "removal tool" that gets the rest.  If you do not completely remove it, it will cause very hard to understand and diagnose problems.

  • Firefox does not ask for confirmation when exit/close with several tabs open

I'm having the same problem as user here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1139845 (only I have different OS)

When multiple tabs open, Firefox ask me never confirmation when I click Firefox close window button in the corner (usually accidentally). And I would like confirmation.

    about: config I have:

true browser.showQuitWarning (it is marked as custom value (bold), default is false)

    true browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab

and when I close Firefox (usually accidentally) I get window of journalist of crash that I submit usually.

Update: claims of a member who never close the confirmation appears for only one Firefox window, only several windows of Firefox. According to me, that this is of people probably half of bad idea is not using multiple windows, only the multiple tabs.

Thank you very much for the input. Indeed, I go to Options/General and together "when Firefox starts:" 'Show my home page' and when I click on X to close the FF button, then asked to FF:

"Want you Firefox to save your tabs for the next time it starts? I click on "Save and exit" when I start FF, tabs are automatically re-open! :-) It's very, very happy.

I never thought tabs will be reopened when the blank page is set initially. And I did not tried because I usually have several tabs open, so do not wanted to risk. For me, the issue is resolved. THX

  • How can I minimize Firefox in one click when I have several tabs open?

I used to be able to minimize Firefox with a single click on the icon in the taskbar, even with several tabs open. Now it doesn't let me. Now, when I move my mouse over the FF icon, a pop-up shows all open tabs and I need to find another way to minimize Firefox. I'm missing something here.

I was right. I unchecked the box in the options that says "show previews of the tab in the Windows task bar" and everything works as I want it now. Thanks again for your help. These things are usually easy to fix, but hard to find sometimes.

  • Script integration FDM for several locations

    Hello
I have a slight problem with the FDM integration (integration of SQL) script.
From what I understood and tested with one FDM-application (tablespace) I'm not able to have several scripts for integration. This because the integration script must be named SQLIntegration.uss, otherwise it will be a mistake.

I have several locations within a FDM-application where I would use a script for integration. Because of the above mentioned name "bug", I need to include information integration all my pitches in a script. As I imagined that is not only easy to read or easy to maintain solution.

Is there a work around for the name - bug?
-Can I call a function within the main function? I tried without success, but perhaps you'd have a solution.

    Any input would be beneficial

I don't know exactly how you want to go about it. But to meet the function within a matter of function, yes you can make that call. I can be simplistic, but you could do something like this:

    Function SQLIntegration(strLoc, lngCatKey, dblPerKey, strWorkTableName)
         DisplayText("Please close this window")
    End Function

    Function DisplayText (strText)
         DisplayText = MsgBox(strText)
    End Function

All of the above code would be contained in SQLIntegration.uss

  • Use F'fox on Windows 7, when I have several windows open, why the relative location of these windows in the taskbar sometimes change?

In general, I have three windows open Firefox, each with several tabs. Firefox itself is pinned to the Windows taskbar. Some of the tabs are set to reload.

The behavior that I find strange is that the window that initially had the means of the taskbar sometimes migrating to the first position. This behavior can be controlled, or the less predicts?

    Hi Avocet,
I guess this change because it's the last window to load a new page or which has been highlighted. If this happens on one of the tabs autoload, that might explain it.

I find several pages simultaneously open in firefox when I try to open a link in the bookmarks stored. It is divide the subject: homepage in two and simultaneous display of two pages.
I really like this. But this feature is planned.
I find this intermittent behavior and not happening for all the links.
If firefox has a feature to open several windows as it's going to be great other than the separator add on

Opening in the sidebar is the default value for the bookmarks created via a link or a button on a Web site.

You can view the properties of a bookmark using the context menu in the side bar (Ctrl + B; Command + B on Mac).

In the Bookmark Manager (Bookmarks > show all bookmarks) you can click on the button more in the lower details pane on the right.

Make sure "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is not selected.

Make sure you close Firefox ask via Firefox-> Firefox Quit to close all open windows and leave Firefox.

Otherwise you just close the current Firefox window and this window might not get restored (check the history > recently closed Windows)
