  I am creating a project in Captivate 5, in which case there are different test after each chapter.

  For example, there are 6 chapters and after each chapter, I want a short (5 or 6 questions) control of knowledge. If this completes successfully then the learner can continue to Chapter 2 and so on.

  Saw that one chapter that works fine, but when I put a second series of questions after the second chapter I lose the ability to redirect the learner if they fail the verification of knowledge.

  I searched through the forums without success and I was wondering if anyone had any experience to do?

  I tried to give to each question (6 for 6 chapters) hen an ID separated, but quiz preferences allows only this to be changed globally within the project, making the quiz a single entity.

  The help document has a piece very briefly about this where he talks about master of trivia and quiz sub but gives all the details on how this is possible.

  There is really not much to the use of Multi-SCORM Packager.  If you have created your individual modules for your courses SCORM files zip, then all you have to do is shoot them in the links Manager, make sure they are in the right order and create a package with an appropriate name, usually the name of your course.  Then, you can download this package into your LMS in Multi-SCO zip file.  The LMS should be able to read the imsmanifest.xml file that creates Packager and see all the components.  The LMS SCORM player usually lists the modules as hyperlinks that the user clicks to launch each of them.

  There is some basic information on the use of SCORM Packager in the Adobe Captivate help files.

  With regard to the objective ID and ID of Interaction... I just has a unique Interaction ID to ensure that each course module is rising inside Captivate with its own unique objective ID (usually a short form of the name of module) and each quiz question or an interactive component scored in the lesson.  Again, it is easy to do with just a short form of the name of module as a prefix.   Captivate adds a unique number after this prefix.

  In most cases, what if all you're after is pass/fail scoring, the objective ID and Interaction ID doesn't really matter too much. However, if your LMS allows you to dig into the interactive elements to see what the user replied, and then having significant IDs is a great help to know which module and what you look at.

• Is it possible to set up several questionnaires in the same presentation of Captivate?

  I'm trying to set up a training project which has several sections corresponding to the different categories within the training.  After each section, I would install a quiz which draws a few questions in the pools of question to make a check of the knowledge.  After the verification of knowledge I would like to allow the user to review the questions in the previous section before moving on to the next section.  Due to the nature of the random questions I use graded questions from question pools.  In a training project with 4 sections, I need 4 slides examination of quiz.  It seems that currently review quiz slide is generated automatically for all quiz questions in the presentation.

  You are right.  Review of Quiz is triggered by the button on the Quiz results slide.  Examining the quiz will automatically terminate any possibility to use other attempts on the quiz on the session.

  Captivate projects are really only designed to have a quiz (as well as the possibility of a preliminary test).  What you want to do, the best option is to have several projects.

• Create several files of project or one?

  I'm working on a feature that has 48 sequences with the subitems and rough cuts created as a prelude. Now I want to start putting these first images for editing, but I wonder are there advantages or disadvantages of creating a project of creation for each sequence and then merging all together in a single file of main after finishing project worked on each sequence?

  I am trying to determine what would be the easiest to keep things organized and not so overwhelming. Did anyone done this before?

  If import you footage into a master project... active .the of each sequence will be important for each sequence. (Managed.. .and now organized in folders of the project since the last update I think).  You can treat the imported sequence flattened like a nest or developed according to the original sequence of edit.

  The reason why I would create a few separate projects of logic is to avoid bloated and slow loading of huge projects.  (This can happen)... .and I also think that his 'insurance '.

• Connection of several projects within a SCORM compatible LMS

  I'm close to here, but I don't quite get what I want. I hope someone can point to the "easy way" to do...

  I create a single course which is composed of several Captivate 5 projects. The user is branched to different projects along the way, based on the answers to the embedded questions (e.g. pass/fail a test). In the final project, I have a post-test. It is the only one to send a score to the LMS.

  So let's simplify by an example:

  • The user enters the Module 1 and takes a pre-test.
  • If they go with a certain score, they go to Module 3. If they fail, they go to Module 2.
  • If they are sent to the Module 2, they go to Module 3, when they have completed it.
  • In Module 3, they take a post-test and this score is recorded.

  It is easy to run this script on my desk. In a SCORM environment is taxing my brain.

  Currently, I publish each Module as its own SCO, keep the course ID and consistent title between them.

  I tried to use the Multi-SCO mode, but causes the entries in my LMS for Module 1, 2 and 3 separately. Not what I want.

  I tried to move the folders for Modules 2 and 3 to make subfolders of Module 1. This seems to work (I get an entry point of course, Module 1, and I'm dating the exact score of Module 3), however by examining the LMS reports, this translates into a figure artificially high "# access." The reason seems obvious: whenever I load the Module 1 is access, and then when I branch to Module 3, is another access, because really I'm reloading the page with a new module and manifest SCORM, right? In addition, I am a little worried that this kind of gerry-rig will break something.

  I don't really want to use the aggregator, because I don't want a table of contents - they should not have the ability to jump directly to Module 2, for example - but I tried it anyway. And I found that even if I can get it to flow the way I want to, I can't understand how to package the project aggregated in a SCORM manifest.

  There must be a way to do it. What Miss me? Is there something obvious that I'm not considering?

  Just to update anyone interested... I thought about it. As suggested, I had change the imsmanifest using the RELOAD file. Turns out to be easy enough, after a few annoying error.

• 'lost' hard disk external iMovie projects

  I tried to move several iMovie 11 projects and events to an external hard drive. Had them distributed among four different partitions in the DHM. Now I can't open/view project in iMovie, but they are listed on the EHD. HELP - is - it possible to recover?

  Records of projects and events will only be recognized by iMovie if they are the root of a partition level.   This could be the reason?

• BSOD when compiling project CVI 2013 SP1 from a network drive

  Gents,

  I just received and installed CVI2013 SP1 (version 13.0.1 build 201) and I have the same problem that I see with patch f1. When I generate several times my project which is located on a network (due to the clearcase version control) drive I get a BSOD. If I copy the entire local project drive problem disappear.

  I put my project (CFS and PRJ) files as an attachment, maybe he could help you find the problem.

• Several widgets composition on 1 page

  Is it possible to have several widgets on a page composition and make it easy to see and edit each individual without them all overlapping? To paint the image on our company website, we want to show multiple projects on a single page (there are several pages of project group types i.e. education, health, religious, etc.). Rather than having each project navigate or open a new page that we want the pop up on the screen with the images and the text of the draft. A project page has about 15 projects, 3 rows and 5 down. The project is first shown as a thumbnail image with the name of the client/project in a text box below. For each project, I created a widget of composition distinct lightbox (presentation) for the Viewer to easily click on many photos as a pop - up. In the target project photo appears on top and a decent amount of text on the bottom. The first trigger is defined as the thumbnail image and other triggers (project photos) are hidden behind this vignette. With 15 widgets on a single page, that I moved the target out of the page boxes as I would on InDesign but Muse it causes all white space at the bottom of the page. Is it possible to organize the widgets so that the person can easily see each other and not on top of eachother? If I put them on the page it will expand the page I don't want to do.

  In addition, the reason why I didn't just create 1 slideshow and solidarity of all projects is because I'm not ALL together like that in case we want to reorganize, Add/Remove projects or have pictures of for 1 project appear on the project page.

  A second part to this question is, is it possible to have only 1 text box that will stay with all the photos in the widget? It seems now that I need to copy the text box and paste in place under each photo. If changes must be made for 1 project he might have to do anywhere up to 6 times for 1 edit. This can be a problem if the person who did the editing done quickly without thinking or to account. Especially having to click each button to get there.

• How to reference a. CHM file rather than copy them into a merged project?

  Hello! I'm new posting. Projects merged CHM files. You may recognize this picture:

  

  When I go to assign one (in my case) an existing merger of the project a new . CHM file, I'm presented with this dialog box. However, I do not want the. CHM file can be completely copied in, I want that it reference a. CHM file. It's because I'm working on an aid project that compiles several other aid projects that get changed separately from time to time. This leaves the project compilation obsolete if the. CHM files are simply copied to; they're just old copies.

  Is it possible to have a merged project point to one. File CHM rather than copy it in so that it reflects the external changes to the. CHM file?

• How to import cs3 projects in Prime CC?

  I have several first cs3 projects using the Matrox system that I want to import into first CC.  Howeer the CC will not accept avi files that were used in the cs3 software.  Do I need a special codec to matrox avi files?  Where can I get that?  Adobe has obviously that I use in the cs3 version?

  Project 'A': Slide show on DVD. Put in place the project (Encore CS4) with a main selection menu to allow the DVD Viewer to select manual advance or complete (all the). I was able to have a draft manual and a project for everyone, but not as a single project. For 'manual' selection, clock menu appears explaining the use of the buttons of the remote control chapter (| < <- and -> > |) to change the slides and a return to the main selection menu is done with the remote control title button. To select 'all', the full slideshow starts directly from the main menu. New title refers to this menu. When you run the operations of 'all', each slide should have a different required duration.

  Q1: Any suggestions on how to make a project for both?

  Project 'B': 'A' but must assign different audio clips based on slides. Some slides are photographs of the group. It is impossible to attempt a textual description of the individuals of the Group on the overlay image. You will need to provide a sound description of individuals at the beginning of the slide and either Cup on advance manual next/previous slide or have the slide duration equal length audio for the selection of the menu main 'all '. The ideal would be not only have the ability to have each slide to have its own audio clip but to have another audio track to play all the show length with possibility to moderate or stop the entire audio when play audio clip of the slide.

  QB1: Does not appear any product Adobe supports this feature for slideshows (still or Lightroom). Did I miss something?

  QB2: If I have missed something (QB1), anyone have any suggestions on a product to use?

  Project 'C': It is a General for slideshows or presentations of video DVD. I have two slide show projects: it has its own selection menu 'Hand' to select 'auto' advance in a sequence of slides of trips and on the other, a menu to select manual advance for a set of scrapbook pages (each page a slide). Then say a video project with its own menu 'main' to select the chapters or subtitles for this sequence. Each project is running about 4 or 5 minutes.

  QC1: Is it possible to have a menu 'master' to allow a DVD player select the first menu of each project? That would be good because it allows a more efficient use of DVD media.

  On page 119 of the user manual, there is a note that there is a maximum of 99 slides per slideshow.

  Right; just create a slideshow of 99 (or less) and put the r is in a separate slide show.  End of slide show action 1 is to go to slide show 2.  If this pair of slideshows is each put to manual advance, you can create an another two slide shows and make auto advance, etc.

  Your answer to the 'C' project, it seems I can have several slideshows by project as several video tracks in Premier Pro.

  A chronology in still more like a sequence in the first.  And you can have several sequences in the first and several deadlines in yet.  (Given again, there a limit of 99 chronologies by project and 99 chapters by chronology - which is also part of the 99 slides per slideshow.) And Yes, you can combine several calendars and slideshows in a project.

• Execution of several packages at once

  We have (or will) have a large number of interfaces that need to be performed subsequently by their incorporation into a package. To increase readability, we have several files of project with interfaces and packages.
  Is it possible to concatenate packages (each containing many interfaces) so that we start our process only once? We want to reduce the number of people clicking on a button on startup to a minimum.

  Create a scenario for each package, and then create another package and run the scenarios of the package using the odiStartScen tool.
