  • sfc/scannow cannot fix corrupted files windows 8. DISM / /restorehealth//cleanup-online image does not work! Any help appreciated.

    Hello

I can't try to repair the corrupted files on my Sony VAIO laptop to Windows 8. I hope someone can help me solve my problems. I would really like to know how to fix these problems I'm having. It really gets me.  If ever I have similar problems in the future.
All my drivers are up to date. I'm pretty confident that's not a malware issue. I take care of my line on activities that could infect my computer. Although I'm not 100% that excludes. I use Mcafee security Suite (fully updated and free with my broadband package). No other scanners time real AV are running. I However sometimes use a registry cleaner, after installation and installation of various programs. but I only use the default methods, never the registry COMPLETE cleaning cleaning method. In my view, these could create problems if used files. I also defragment my HARD drive of 1 TB at least once a week.
DISM / / cleanup-image online /restorehealth/ also is not working error message and log files can be found below!
I ran sfc/scannow and several times,
whenever I get the error message stating:
Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unsable to correct some
of them. Details are provided in the cbs.log windir\logs\cbs\cbs.log newspaper.
For example C:\windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log. Note that iis logging currently not
    supported in offline maintenance scenarios.
When I reboot win 8 after running sfc/scannow. Windows 8 shows that it is far from my system of up to 100%
It charges fine. I have run the sfc/scannow, and then he did exactly the same thing. I reboot and it updates my system. but does not not my files corrupted!
CHKDSK /F also freezes 27%. But when I starts in the my Sony VAIO #1 recovery disk and run diagnostics hardware HARD drive repair tool to try to fix the sectors defective etc on my HARD drive
which works 100% and says there is NO problem!
Here are the files of newspapers that I can access. I have to admit, now, that I do not understand them.

How to run the command "SFC/scannow" at startup or in Windows 8
    Information
This will show you how the sfc/scannow command to start or in Windows 8 in an attempt to trouble altered or modified system files.

    Tip
If you get the error that Windows resource protection could not start the Repair Service when you try to run the SFC, then make sure that the Windows Modules Installer service is active and set to Manual.

Services - Start, Stop and disable in Windows 8

If SFC is unable to repair the system files corrupted because the Bank (source) is damaged, then you could run the Dism/online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command to set the Windows component store corruption and then then try to re-run the SFC scan.

    OPTION ONE

To run the SFC/SCANNOW command. at startup

    1. open a prompt at startup.

2 in the command prompt, type diskpart and press ENTER, and then type the size of the list and press ENTER. (see screenshot below)

3 make Act your boot drive drive letters (ex: 350 MB "System Reserved" partition) and the drive of Windows 8, type Exit , and then press ENTER. (see screenshot above)
NOTE: If you do not a "system Reserved" partition and are not multi-boot with other operating system, then the boot drive and the drive of Windows 8 may be the same drive letter.

4 in the command prompt, type the following command and press enter. (see screenshot below)
NOTE: , You will see a blinking cursor at the prompt to the end. It will take a while to finish running though.

    sfc/scannow damaged = C: \ /offwindir = D:\windows

    Note
You need to replace the the drive letter of the partition or volume where your Startup system files are stored in the offbootdir = C: part of the order above instead.

You need to replace the letter of your partition or volume Windows 8 in the offwindir = D: is part of the above command instead.

5 when the analysis is finished, I hope you will see an everything is ok message as below.

6 close the command prompt and restart the computer to start Windows 8.

    Note
If SFC could not fix something, then run the new command to see if it can be able to next time. Sometimes, it can take by running the sfc/scannow command 3 times restart the PC after each time completely fix everything what he is capable of.

If this isn't the case, then run Dism/online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to repair any corruption component store, restart the PC later and try the sfc/scannow command.

If still no, then you could do a Refresh of Windows 8, or run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the wrong file system occurred to fix. You may need to repeat doing a restore of the system until you find a restore point that is older that may work.

If not yet, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the THREE OPTION section below to manually replace the files SFC could not fix.

    SECOND OPTION

To run the SFC/scannow command in Windows 8

    1. open an elevated command prompt in Windows 8.

2 in the elevated command prompt, type sfc/scannow , and then press enter. (see screenshot below)
NOTE: It may take some time to complete the race.

3 when the analysis is finished, I hope you will see that all is ok message as the screenshot below.
NOTE: Fortunately CFS was able to repair my files automatically damaged system.

If still no, then you could do a Refresh of Windows 8, or run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the wrong file occurred to fix. You may need to repeat doing a restore of the system until you find a restore point that is older that may work.

If not yet, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the THREE OPTION section below to manually replace the files SFC could not fix.

    OPTION THREE

How to see and read that only "CFS" Scan results from CBS. JOURNAL

NOTE: SFC when is running, it records its actions in the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. The steps of this option will show you how to view only specific SFC entries with the [SR] tags in the CBS.log newspaper. This can be useful to show you what files SFC couldn't fix automatically if you want to try and manually change them.

    1. open an elevated command prompt in Windows 8.

2 in the elevated command prompt, copy and paste the following command and press enter.
NOTE: This will place a file sfcdetails.txt on your desktop with only the SFC scan details of the results of the CBS. Log in this.

    Code:
    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt

3 close the elevated command prompt.

    4. open the file on your desktop to see the SFC sfcdetails.txt analysis details in convertible bonds. NEWSPAPER.

5 when you are finished, you can safely remove the sfcdetails.txt file later if you wish.

    Tip
If you need to replace a corrupted system file that SFC cannot fix, this will show you how to:

If you have many files are corrupted, then run Dism/online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to repair any component store corruption, restart the PC after and try the sfc/scannow command.

If you have only a little, then you could manually extract a new copy directly from your installation of Windows 8 DVD or USB thumb drive, or ISO if file in a virtual machine.

My Cookie file was corrupted in data and my programs continually pop up with the 'corrupt file' error when a program opens, pointing to \Users\name\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies.

The problem is, Chkdsk will not fix this, and I can't access the file. This opens up a world of problems when I need to fix this error, so I can upgrade to Windows 7. Help, please!

I just ran the scan again. He said of the errors found, but could not be repaired.

This problem actually has nothing to do with internet explorer. It's the cookies folder that is corrupt in the Windows folder in roaming. The error file is in conjunction with the programs, that I try to run (AIM, Skype, so forth). Trying to enter the folder it says it's corrupt. I don't know what is the root of the problems or how to solve this problem, but these measures have not helped so far. Regarding the repair, I will try that next.

  • sfc/scannow foud the corrupted files after upgrade from Vista Home Premium 32 bit

    Hello

It is an event that I went through:

    (1) recently I received a bunch of updates to Vista Home Premium 32 bit, after I did the update I decided to perform sfc/scannow task and this is the error message I got the "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and managed to fix them." Details are provided in the CBS.log windir\logs\CBS.log newspaper. For example c:\windows\logs\CBS\CBS.log

Repair of system files change will take effect after the next reboot.

    (2) so I did restart and then try to run the sfc/scannow task once again, but I still got the same message I described in step 1 again. So basically sfc/scannow function did not repair the corrupted files.

    (3) the next step, I decided to perform a repair Installation of visa which took me 10 hours to complete the task, once the task of upgrading of repair has been made and before the windows update, I ran sfc/scannow task and this time he finds any corrupted files, but after I updated windows sfc/scannow result was the same as step 1.

It is obvious to me that one of the updates of the origin of this problem, but find it me hard to pinpoint that one. So I am writing this e-mail to help and I hope that the problem will soon be solved. Please let me know if you need me to submit the CBS.log file for you to review thanks in advance.

For settings.ini as this article sets out the question may be totally ignored.

The SFC.exe command reports Settings.ini file errors in the CBS.log file after that you add gadgets
for the Sidebar of Windows Vista by using the Sysprep tool and an Autounattend.xml file.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947595

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These errors only are in the settings.ini for the sidebar and are not a serious problem by all means.

    Close the sidebar for that.

Something else for the settings.ini - run AutoRuns and look at the entries SideBar Gadget - y at - it
all pointing to is no longer present as temp files or uninstalled gadgets or not running?
Those who will reflect the "yellow icons" on the left side and the files/folders will not exist. If so just
Click on it and delete - Reboot. This may correct the errors that you see.

Autoruns - free - see what programs are configured so that it starts automatically when your system
boots and you login. Autoruns shows you the full list of registry and file locations where
    applications can configure Auto-start settings.
    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx
    -------------------------------

Another process to try is to remove everything except a gadget - everything what you think is the most simple, that you use.
Maybe the calendar. Then RESTART - use another simple gadget, and delete the first class used
-RESTART again. See if that helps.

Rarely, the error causing the problem with the sidebar and not not affect the system in general.

Also update your drivers: (WiFi (wireless), NIC (Wired) and others as required)

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    Hello:

See if you can make your own Vista installation disc if you can read the product key 25 character on the bottom of your laptop.

    Here's how:

If you are in a fault light but rewarding you can do yourself if you can read your product key of Vista on the PC of 25 characters.

You just download the 3 files you need on the link below and read all the instructions to create a Setup bootable DVD disk using imageburn.

Do not take into account the part of the text in the first screen shot about "extract the files in the folder of Vista."

The files were extracted already in this folder when you ran the X14.exe file by reading the text on top of the first screenshot.

The other thing I noticed is on the 4th page, where it shows Developer ID Microsoft Corporation. I had to type Microsoft Corporation in me, and then other codes already filled in.

When I went to compile the ISO file, ImageBurn gave a message on a WIM file, file and ISO, and if I wanted to burn it in a different format.

I selected no, make the ISO file.

It was not so hard to do. I burned both the disk of 64-bit and 32-bit disk in case I ever need them.

I tested both of them one my hp dc7100 CMT desktop PC, worked flawlessly.

When you enter the product key, he knows which version of Vista you have.

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/software-OS/w/microsoft_os/3317.2-3-Microsoft-Windows-v...

After you install Vista successfully, you can then install the drivers for your PC and driver page support.

Windows 7 64 bit comes in handy when you need to deal with at least 4 GB of RAM or more. Windows 7 32 bit can use up to 3.2 GB of RAM. Because the address space of memory is much larger for 64-bit Windows, this means that you need two times more memory than the 32-bit Windows to accomplish some of the same task, but you are able to do much more, you can have more apps open, do things like run a virus scan in the background it will affect the performance of your system. 64-bit Windows 7 is safer too, malicious code cannot easily infiltrate it, drivers are more reliable because they must be signed before it can work with 64 bit Windows 7.

Regarding compatibility, you need device drivers 64-bit hardware devices, you may have. In addition, there is no 16-bit subsystem in Windows 7 64-bit, which means, your applications must be 32-bit only, not 16-bit Installer or programs uninstaller. Also, if you decide to switch to Windows 7 64 bit in the future, there is no way to upgrade from 32-bit Windows, clean install only.

    Can I run 32-bit programs on a 64-bit computer?

Most programs designed for a computer running a 32-bit version of Windows running on a computer running 64-bit Windows versions. The notable exceptions are many antivirus programs, and some hardware drivers.

Drivers designed for 32-bit versions of Windows do not work on computers running a 64-bit version of Windows. If you try to install a printer or other device that only has 32-bit drivers available, it won't work correctly on a 64-bit version of Windows. For information on updating drivers and troubleshooting issues with device drivers for 64 bit versions of Windows, contact the manufacturer of the device or program.

    I would be using a 64-bit computer?

The benefits are more obvious when you have a large amount of RAM (RAM) installed on your computer, typically 4 GB of RAM or more. In this case, because a 64-bit operating system can handle large amounts of memory more efficiently as a 32-bit, 64-bit operating system can be more responsive when you run several programs at once and switching between them frequently.

If I am running a 64-bit version of Windows, I need 64-bit drivers for my devices?

Yes. All devices devices need 64-bit drivers to work on a 64-bit version of Windows. Drivers designed for 32-bit versions of Windows do not work on computers running 64-bit Windows versions.

To learn how to check for drivers, see update a hardware driver that is not working properly or go to the website of the manufacturer of the device. You can also get information about drivers by going to the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor website.

  • Multiprocessor Configuration does not support the installation of Windows 7 64-bit.

I'm going as a joint discussion on the multiprocessor Configuration not supported during the installation of Windows 7 64-bit. I have a HP with a motherboard HP xw6200 workstation. The Machine has dual Zeon 3.20 Ghz. the procesors are identical. There bus 800 MHZ front. It has 6 gigs of 400 MHZ DDR2 Ram. I've updated to the latest version of the bios a few months ago. It has worked very well in dual boot with the last pack of 64-bit XP and Vista 64-bit SP1 for a long time. I tried to upgrade using a clean 64-bit Windows 7 installation when I got the error Stop Multiprocessor_Configuration_Not_Supported: 0X0000003E. I tried to upgrade to Vista and XP with the same error message. I also installed a new unformatted disk and tried to install the operating system again through the CD and got the same error.

I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the computer to update the chipset drivers as you have updated the BIOS of your computer.

Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Hope this information is useful.

Let me know if it worked.

Thank you, and in what concerns:
