Share the repository in OEM for OBIEE 11.1.1.7

Hi all

I'm working on Essbase, I had the chance to work on OBIEE.

Installed and configured successfully.

Database: 11g R2

UCR: 11.1.1.7

OBIEE: 11.1.1.7

I created a model with a single Essbase application and uploaded to the repository in Oracle Enterprise Manager and began to create some analysis.

Now, I created a different model with another Essbase application and uploaded to the repository in OEM, now in OBIEE I can not access the earlier.

I got to know why we have to use the repository share, but I am unable to set the location for it

I tried with several options but its not allowing to update the location of the repository of the action, get the error "'did not apply the information in the repository" "

An acceptable syntax is: "/ net/machine/disk3/sharedrpddata ', I tried with below those

  • \ORACLE_INSTANCE\bifoundation\OracleBIServerComponent\coreapplication_obisn\repository
  • $ORACLE_INSTANCE\bifoundation\OracleBIServerComponent\coreapplication_obis1\repository
  • \\MachineName\C$\OBIEE11g\instances\instance1\bifoundation\OracleBIServerComponent\coreapplication_obis1\repository

Can you please help me solve this problem?

Or can you please let me know where to start?

Thank you

Alain

  • What is the repository of Dell for Ubuntu 14.04

    Hello

Recently, I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 laptop 5555 with pre installed Ubuntu 14.04. However, it came with single partition for home and root that is not a recommended practice. So I reinstalled Ubuntu 14.04. However, I forgot to note the URL of the repository for Dell. Now my problem is like the Dell laptop driver is not installed the 'Fn' key does not work. The downloads on Dell section shows only the Windows Driver. The clientele is pathetic and they me slam just as if I did a sin by buying portable Ubuntu.

DOE anyone know where can I get Ubuntu drivers for Dell laptop keyboard?

  • How can I view the repository of 12 c OBIEE 'active' in read-only mode

After using the data-model file - cmd.cmd batch download a SPR, SPR becomes a sequentially numbered file in this directory:

    'C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\bi\bidata\service_instances\ssi\metadata\datamodel\customizations '.

And I presume that the new file numbered sequentially (for example, liverpd.rpd_2) is now the repository that is actively used as referential 'live' by OBIEE.

Is there a way to open this deposit 'live' in the Administration tool?  If I try to do, I am notified that I can only open it read-only.  Well Yes, that's fine, that makes perfect sense.  (It also means I'm trying to open the 'live'.  So far so good.)  I am prompted for the password for the repository.  Type the correct password repository fails.  A simple dialog: the connection has failed.

Certainly, I type the correct password repository.  Is it maybe a bug?

Does not work like that more. This password is there for a reason (RPDs live in 12 c are MUCH more complex than before) and nobody knows - because you don't need.

You can Open the RPD online, or you can use the data-model-cmd downloadrpd to get a copy of the current version of live.

  • Is it possible to simply exchange the PSU 850w OEM for the inside area 51 R2 OEM 1500w PSU without the entire system rewired?

I know as a rule of thumb, one should always use the cables provided with a power supply. However, considering that both the 850w & the 1500w are the two Dell OEM power supplies manufactured by the same company to meet identical specifications for the same system, are the cables between the two interchangeable?

I am interested in buying for my R2 1500w PSU. However, rewiring the entire system seems too complicated. I know I'll bumble, especially since the case is divided and it is not possible to see clearly where all the cables.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, but why pay for such a ugly piece of hardware? To replace Delta, PSU with an EVGA is so easy and is a better option. It takes literally 10 minutes to change

  • How to get and install the file txtsetup.oem for xp

need to know how to get and install the txtsetup.oem file to install xp

    Hello

The easiest way would be to visit the website of the manufacturer of the motherboard. This would normally have downloads for any RAID drivers required for the loading of Windows XP. The download can be an "executable" who writes a disk for you. It can be also something like a zip file with all files inside that must be extracted and copied to a floppy disk.

If your PC is not a floppy drive, life becomes quite complicated.

Please mark this as useful or response if applicable.

  • Can I use symbolic links to share the file abook.mab for two users

If I delete all the user profile .mab files and replace it with a symbolic link pointing to the same file in the other profile will be what sync my address for two profiles books. I have win7.
The object is to have two user accounts Windows sharing the same e-mail data. I already have them show up on the same basis of messages.
I would like to know if deleting a .mab file will only cause it be re-created.
    I hesitate to experiment.
    Thank you

Remove files two default mab, abook.mab (PAB) or history.mab (collected addresses) will result in empty files with these names are automatically re-created on reboot of TB.

    Dear all,

I installed BI Apps on windows.
I am in the process just before restore the pre-built informatica repository file.

When I try to change the normal operation Mode to exclusive use, as described in the section "4.7.1 restoring the repository Informatica predefined for environments in English" of the installation guide
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E14847_01/BIA.796/e14843/windows_ic.htm

    I get the error
' Connection string cannot contain spaces or have the following special characters: / *? <>"" | ""

The ConnectString string displayed in the administration console is 192.168.75.1:1523/ORCL, as in the creation of repository services.

I tried to change it to 192.168.75.1:1523:ORCL, then was able to change operatingmode Exclusive at this time this service repository unbootable not, show following error:
«The service does not start because of the following error: unable to connect to the REP_ETL_OBIA7961 repository on the database ORCL.»

Is there a way I can change the OperatingMode and the connection string via a configuration file instead of the web interface of the admin console?
    Has anyone encountered this problem?
What would be a solution, so that I can continue to install the BI Apps?

    Thank you

It's because you have installed Informatica in C:\Program Files\Informatica, which has a space or your Informatica installation path must be without spaces.

    Does that help?

  • Impossible to update the location of the repository going on OEM. Error "failed to apply the information in the repository.

    Hi gurus,

I'm trying to change my installation of 11g OBIEE (horizontal scale). To do this, I created a share location for the RPD, catalogue, cache global and Scheduler scripts. I placed my SPR files and catalog also under the shared location.

When I'm trying to update the shared in OEM location, it does not update the location of the repository of the action, get the error "'did not apply the repository information". "

    I can't solve this problem.

Plz help me in this consider as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Kind regards

    MK.

I discovered the cause of this problem after a lot of trial and error.

The problem is I'm trying to specify the folder is not empty. There is a folder in this directory, because of this, the problem persists.

Once I deleted the hidden folder and make sure the directory is empty, I restarted the services now everything went well.

    Kind regards

InstanceConfig.xml sets the location of the Web catalog, not the name of the repository RPD. The Web catalog is where the user reports, dashboards etc are stored. You must change the RPD of the BI llok at the NQSConfig.INI server.

    I recently did a clean install with the disc that came with my Dell XPS6400 (bought in the auction) local computer, which had only "Vista 32bits" written on it and no product key.  I thought I could use the key on the sticker on the underside of the computer OEM license, even if the 2 characters in the 3rd section were partially missing - they had to be one of the other four.  When OEM license was initially considered valid, I realized that I had not yet downloaded a service pack, but after that, he was still to come as being invalid!  Then, I found that the version of Vista that was on the disc was "Home Premium" and the OEM for "Home Basic" license key  Do I have to reinstall the whole system, drivers, etc., in order to establish the upgrade?  (Please say "NO", there is an easier way to do this!    Here's the MGADiag. -I hope it helps.  :-}
