  All,

  Is there any known issued with not shared actions convert Captivate 7 to 9?

  I'd build one to replay a slide from the start, but now that we've updated the action does not work... and I can not understand how to open it to see what I did in the first place.

  Joint actions have been improved in CP8 compared to CP7, because the variables and literals have been added as parameters. This could be the cause of your problems.

  Not as far as I know. Only the parameters are mandatory (objects, groups and slides) and candidate settings (variables and literals). The argument to the command open an URL is not in this list. The argument is the same level as the arguments indeed apply: only the object will be a parameter, not the effect itself, or the beginning and the duration of this effect (if you're the CP9).

  I'll repeat an old feature request here: If we were able to use the concatenation of such a command... .the URL that can be stored in a variable.

  Your goal can be achieved with JS.

  I think you forgot to hide the Group c and p. initially? Either you set hidden output in their properties panel or you use the action on enter the slide you want to hide.

  For the most part I prefer the second scenario myself, because the slide will be reset upon returning to her. This action on enter will look like this:

  I build interactions of simple training on mine. In these interactions, I advanced Actions and shared Actions.

  Sometimes I want to change some things in a shared creations (for example I want to incorporate a new variable).

  For me, it would be really great if I could change some questions and then to save the Action shared under the same name.  But I Don t find this possibility. Captivate always ask a new name and then I have to take a new name for the shared action and change all the actions in my slides.to the new Action.

  My question: how to change some questions in my shared Action and save the shared under the same name (old) action?

  As for joint actions, there is still no workflow smooth for editing. Maybe these tips can help:

  If you make sure that the old shared action no longer applied to any event by checking the use of the library, you are able to remove this action. But as you change, start first by creating an 'Advanced' action (no need to name), based on the model that exists for each share of action and that you find under the white button. You complete the settings, you can save it as a tip action. Then delete the old shared action. The created tip action can now be saved as an action shared the same name. It is quite exceptional. Too bad, you will need to set all the parameters again, enter the description of the action and the parameters. There is no way to keep this information, crossing my fingers that the workflow will be, at least in a future version, more user friendly.

  I have a relatively simple scenario where users click on the scenario (click boxes that leads them to the next page).

  When a user gets to the last screen in the scenario, I have a retry button that jumps to the first slide in the scenario and a back button that just goes back to the last slide in the scenario.

  It jumps forward to another slide, and assigns a '1' to a variable, but I also activated to this click box so it tells you that they have clicked on the button of the declaration.

  So with this new update, we can add the variables as parameters in common actions. Amazing! I love! But now use it as a shared action seems a bit difficult or impossible. This isn't a complaint, you mind, I just want to know how to operate it.

  The shared action panel shows not any decision blocks so it's a bit confusing and it makes me wonder if it's possible.

  So I guess to answer my own question... I exported the action shared and then open the XML to see the guts of action and discovered that indeed all decisions are here. It's just a little confusing when building it from the shared action screen. Descriptions very very detailed will be a must. Even to the point of remarking on how variable or an object is associated with a block of decision. Still a huge timesaver if.

• shared library problem MathScript

  I have a shared library of labview created in labview 8.2.1.  This labview dll contains a three functions, having to turn a number of mathscript embeded nodes inside of them.  The reason for their compilation in a shared library dll is because I want to call this dll of labview 7.0.  I have a test program of work created in labview 8.2.1 and labview 7.0.

  The problem I had is that these executables both run ok on my machine development, but when I move them to another machine with only the installed runtimes (7.0 and 8.2.1) labview dll function calls fail to do anything.  No errors appear, so it is very difficult to find where the problem occurs.    I have two different dll called in the example program.  The first dll just manages the file access and has not all the mathscript in bits, but the second, which is the one that I'm really interested in, has the mathscript node.  The memory usage in looking, I see it's the appeal of the file access dll but do not do the mathscript one.

  I have installed an evaluation version of labview 8.2.1 on this laptop with only the runtime, run the program and it works fine.  I think there must be something not in the dll but I don't see anything in the options to add something.  I have the mathscript check box selected in the build option.

  I know there are a number of functions that do not work with just running, but I'm not all there that use my program.

  Does anyone have advice?

  OK, I found the solution to my problem.  It was a problem with the version of the runtime that I used.  Labview CDs development is only a partial performance and include all of the files to run applications full (time to install it on his own).  Go to the website of national instruments, there is a period of standard edition which includes everything you need.  Download and install this version seem to have solved the problem.

  I recently learned how to use the structures of the event to handle the two-step linear control. It was cool. Before, I was running a state machine, and it was a bit heavy.

  I am developing a user interface to control these steps, and there are two types of movement I want the user to choose. The first might be called "motion of joystick; you press the left button (and hold it), and the scene shifts to the left until you release the button, or exit button (I have an event for each case, and they do the same thing, namely to stop movement). The second type of movement is "additional query. Here, the user should set the left button and the stage would move 1 mm to the left and stop.

  Here's my problem. When I first programmed the "joystick motion", it works fine. Perfectly. Then, I wanted to make the differential movement. Also, that works perfectly. Ok. So I wanted the user to select the type of query by using a Boolean value; that is, they support "the joystick movement" and then these controls become enabled. So I thought that I'd get fancy and property nodes allows you to disable/gray keys that should not be used and select the buttons that should be used. It seems to work GREAT with my "additional query", because at the moment, these Boolean buttons are latch - when pressed and buttons on the block schema reside in the case of the event [which handles the change of value]. However, my 'motion controller' buttons reside outside the structure of the event (but inside the while loop that surrounds it) and it seems that even if the property node "correctly" their gray out when you press the selector button of movement, you can always click on them and the scene shifts. This does not happen with the extra buttons "motion".

  My hunch is that

  (a) I'm not smart enough

  (b) that the location on the block diagram of my buttons that control the motion "joystick" is wrong (i.e. they should be inside the structure of the event somewhere)

  (c) that I have to use another type of mechanical action on the buttons

  I read / saw somewhere that the latch - when pressed must reside in the case case that handles the change of value, but I don't really know what to do with Boolean values buttons that have cases of event like "down/up/leave mouse". Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

  The problem is that you use the "Mouse Down" and "Mouse Up" of events for the buttons of the gamepad and that these events still occur when a button is disabled, even if the value of the button does not change. For the buttons of the gamepad, try to use the value Change event. In the case where the structure, use the NewVal (or the appropriate button terminal) to determine whether to start or stop the movement, based on whether the value is true or false. Or, if you wish to continue using the mouse down event, then you must use the value Active Joystick stored in the shift register to determine whether or not to act on these events (wrap functions VISA in the case structures so they run only when Active Joystick is true).

  I installed a new Vista PC in an office, they have a printer hanging on a PC running also shared Vista, for other people in the office. I can travel away from the new PC to the printer shared on the other Vista computer and installed the printer drivers, but when I go to print a test ot documents page I get document doesn't have a printing error. Already installed computers have no problem printing to the printer shared only the new PC. This process is usually before detroit if you can access the shared printer. Any help would be not appreciated and thanks in advance.

• Dynamic action problem

  I am creating a dynamic action that should fire when a certain value is selected in a Select list. If the value selected is equal to a value from the database, then should display a checkbox. If it is not equal to a value from the database then the box should not show.
  
  I have the list select (PItem) which is filled by the LOV:

  Then I have a checkbox (PCbox) I created.
  
  I created a standard dynamic action on PItem with a condition that the element must be equal to the output of a select query:
  
  Select the id from tableA where id =: PItem and other = "Y";
  
  I applied this to the PCbox.
  
  If the check box to display only when an id is obtained from the database via the select query. However, this does not work. When I put a value such as 8 in the box of 'value' for the condition "equal to", it works fine. If the box never displays.

  You can accomplish this by creating an item of assistance PItem2.

  Fill it with dynamic action "set" using the query
  Select the id from tableA where id =: PItem and others = 'Y '.
  to change your selection PItem list event.

  Then create a Show/Hide dynamic action on the change event of the item of assistance PItem2 to a condition of 'not null' that will allow to show or hide the PCbox checkbox.

  I have the new AppleTv 64 GB and an iMac with public funds, Mac OS X and iTunes.

  Both devices are on ethernet using DHCP.

  I have set up home sharing on iTunes with sharing pictures and videos (30 photos of k). Also, the AppleTV is configured to use the home sharing (even apple ID).

  Once, I managed to see the image as an element under computers library, but can when loading never completed. Now, I don't see my music.

  The strange thing is that he has appeared after a reboot of my iMac, now helps you no more.

  Go to iTunes > file > sharing > choose Photos and check that the correct source is selected in the menu drop down and you have selected a few photos.

  If this is all correct them, make a slight change and click 'Apply', check on your Apple TV to see if pictures have reappeared.

  If this help you can reverse the light changes and again click 'apply '.
