shared libraries. Cached BUT if I add another element - it features?

HI - using libraries shared at present for a scalable e-learning courses. All items must be used on several screens.

BUT if I add a new element to the published swf shared - then next time I access my learning program, it will download the ALL NEW library shared - is that correct? That is to say: in the first place against the goal.

So if it's true the best idea would be to use separate shared libraries. IE: sharedLibraryMusic1.swf sharedLibraryMusic2.swf for the new mp3s

etc...

Or is it nonsense. That is to say: a new shared library updated with a new "little" element will not cause the entire swf file to download it again?

It is so important that it can make or break the download speeds.

Thanks in advance

The browser caching is controlled by the request that url no matter what type of asset is at the server end. Browser (and Flash) has no intrinsic mechanism to compare cached versions of remote files or if changes have occurred. This means that if you want to make sure that the latest version of file is used - you need to recover the files each time. Unless, of course, you write logic that compares the files by, say, versioning them and either have framework configuration that describes what to charge.

  • How to add another engine of research (not Google) to Thunderbird?

I would like to add an another search engine of Thunderbird. (Ixquick) In the solutions, I find a way to add Google, but I would add another search engine. I tried to add DuckDuck (.xml file) in a new map (searchplugins) in/Thunderbird Profiles, but it does not work. (OS X).
I guess a new .xml file is needed?
Is this new file Searchplugin in profiles of the right solution?

    Thank you

research is an implementation of "open search" where the search provider is defined by an XML file that is specific to the provider. Ixquick watching they sure don't make it easy. I had to use it kludgy interface to add to Firefox, open the searchplugins folder in my firefox profile, copy the file to ixquick - ttps.xlm to the same location in Thunderbird to do in there. Why might the right word allowed me to download the XML file to opensearch.

  • Add an element to a cluster without updating all users of the cluster

I have a cluster that is sent to many different vi. Whenever I have added to this cluster, I need to change every vi that uses it to fix the various controls of input terminals and ungroup by names.

I'm not change or remove existing items in the source cluster. just to add another element that one worries of the vi "shipwreck" for others, it is simply one don't care. Is it possible to avoid having to fix each "sink" vi when I do this? I would only need to update the vi that uses the new element (which of course, I do anyway).

In C, I can update, add a member to a typedef'd struct and everything is fine - no problems; How can I do something similar in LV?

If you branch out a cluster then all sinks must be the same. You should do your cluster a typedef and use the typedef on your screws in this way that you change only one place. Even with the a typedef in C.

LabVIEW manual contains instructions on how to create and use of typedefs.

You have placed your beam to insert at the end of your text on page 13 and then apply Insert menu: Page Break? In the v5.6.2, Pages I just add a new page to a section of four pages to this approach.

  • I'm using Time Machine (1 TB), works very well, but because full starting to delete previous backups. Can I add another (LaCie 1 TB) HARD disk for backups? If so, how to proceed. Thank you!

I'm using Time Machine (1 TB), works very well, but because full starting to delete previous backups. Can I add another (LaCie 1 TB) HARD disk for backups? If so, how to proceed. Thank you!

You can add another drive to accept backups Time Machine... assuming it is correctly formatted for Mac to Mac OS extended (journaled), but things are not exactly "continue."

You have not indicated if you intend to add the player to the USB port on the Time Capsule, or connect directly to your computer using USB or FireWire connections. Or the other method works, with the option to connect directly to the computer being the faster connection.

Once the disc is added, you would go in Time Machine preferences (click the "clock" at the top of the screen on your Mac) to add the disk for Time Machine backups and delete the old Time Capsule disk, since backups will go is no longer this destination.

Since you have a new drive, Time Machine will do a new full backup of your Mac and then go forward with incremental backups.

I already subscribe to photoshop with 2 pc, but I would like to add another 2 pc for a total of 4.
How can I do? Who should I contact because the cat does not work?
    Thank you

If you are going to use a computer at any time, you can use your subscription single user one for all 4 computers.

You can only connect, until, two computers at all once so you will need to do a few signature, but adobe make it very easy to do.  for example, you can disconnect from your other 3 computers using your computer 4.

  • I have a subscription to creative cloud (at least) but I would like to add another user, who will use a Mac... is there a way I can do this?

I have a subscription to creative cloud (at least) but I would like to add another user, who will use a Mac... is there a way I can do this?

    Hello

You can have the creative cloud installed and signed in on two computers as long as you don't use it on one at a time. Download and install as you did on the first computer, sign in to your Adobe account on the Adobe using your Adobe ID website, download the desktop app from clouds, then download the software. Sign on a computer that should not be used: log in and log out of the desktop Adobe Creative Cloud application

You can download the installer for Creative Cloud from here:
Creative cloud help | Creative cloud desktop.

After you install the creative Cloud desktop application, you will need to sign in with a login password and Adobe. Then you can install applications. This link provides more information and step by step instructions, if you need: CC help | Download, install, update or uninstall applications

  • ESXi 5.1u1, Mo 2xsata3 ports, you want to add SSD cache but what port?

    Hi all

This is my first post and I'm not speaking English, so I'll try to explain my question in the best conditions.

We run esxi 5.1u1 on a small server with office components:

    -i5 - 3570 k [could get i5-3570 non - K]

-z77 motherboard (msi g43) [could get Q77 Board from gigabyte]

-16 GB of ram ddr3 1600 mhz non - ecc

-2xHDD western digital RED 2 to each, no raid

    -backup to NAS

and on 10vm between linux and windows guests (usually only 6 are in normal production [AD, FS, PBX), to manage a network of 4 desktops.

We ask to add a SSD 120gbSATA3 caching, using build-in functionality of ESXI 5.1u1, but we have a problem on the choice of the correct configuration of the disk since we only 2 port sata3.

    1. Hard drives are sata3 and actually connected to the sata3 ports 2 (Controller intel);
    2. We've got to other 4-port sata2 on a different construction to the controller;
    3. We can afford a raid at the moment card;
    4. should we put on the benefit from the speed of cache sata2 ssd, or the only way is sata3?

    Thanks in advance.

You can put on sata2 SSDS (interface is backward compatible), but you will suffer serious non-performance. With sata3 you get 600 MB/s transfer speed, with sata2 just 300 MB/s (taking into account encoding 8B / 10B). And consumers of today SSD sequential transfer rate is approaching even this maximum limit of sata3 interface (i.e. Samsung 840Pro: 520 / 540 MB/s). If you put on sata2 SSDS, you will seriously degrade its performance, perhaps to half of its capacity. If you want to use for caching SSDS, I wouldn't put the SSD on sata2 interface.

I would of put HDD sata2 rather (and use for SSD sata3 ports). With the exception of the disk cache, without disk hard common has over 300 MB/s transfer speed. He could suffer from degradation in performance a little too much when using cache, but is not as much as the SSD...

  • My laptop is a Dell Vostro 1720 of 32 bits, and so I accept I can't upgrade my Muse more away, but which has hosted a site for me, what should I do to add another site?

My laptop is a Dell Vostro 1720 of 32 bits, and so I accept I can't upgrade my Muse more away, but which has hosted a site for me, what should I do to add another site?

    Hello

What I understand, that is, you already have a free site hosted with Adobe Business catalyst, and now you want to get a more.

To do so, publish a Muse Adobe Business catalyst site.

Access to the administration panel and go to settings-> Site Management site, you should see the upgrade option, you will pay for the site, because it is not a free site.

Let me know if you have any questions, or if I have missed something

  • EPCO adding weblogic shared libraries - can add it to a project of the EAR?

Project > properties > Java Build Path > libraries tab > add library button > WebLogic Shared Libraries > next.

the foregoing is not available for the EAR project...

Andrew is describe something different. You cannot configure a library shared via the Java EE Module dependencies page reference. Who does something different.

To answer the original question... An EAR project is not a Java project, so there is no way to build. You add references to shared library path to build some modules that need to access the types contained in the shared library. The tool will sort what descriptors must be modified to make this work. After you change the path to build, look in the view of problems for problems of differences between stuff referenced on the way to build and that specify the descriptors. Problem markers, you can access quick fixes for updating the descriptors.

  • Cannot add another OS on Tecra S5, but XP is already installed

See the topic. I'm not able to add another OS on these laptops (I've got 5 Tecra S5). Windows XP is on the computer now, and because I want to format the computer (classified data) I want to add W7.
When I start no drivers were found on no 5 laptops.

    Did anyone know about this?

I guess you get an message of HARD drive during the installation of the system.
    Right?

I think you need to add SATA drivers while the Win 7 Installer.

There is a Storage Manager Intel on the page of the Toshiba UE driver that contains the SATA driver.
You can find drivers Tecra S5 in Archive (type of product-> Archive)

  • Shared libraries

I'm having some trouble with making a shared library or libraries in general.

    Question #1

I create a shared library code, header, etc. Build the project and... nothing. According to my console:

    Build error
    Generated resource conflict:
two resources of the same name: /sharedLib/Device-Debug/src/codeFileInSharedLib.o
    generated by different tools
    tool1: QCC Compiler
    tool2: QCC Compiler

I can't find anything on it, but it gives me headaches and refuses to compile.

This opens to question #2, in fact, I managed to get the project to compile (when she was smaller and more basic) but he bumped to another question when I tried to connect to a project:

    cannot find -lsharedLib

Now based on what I got from the beta forums:

    elenalaskavaia:

Depends what project type you have, normally you don't want to link again .o file, you should create a library and link with library. You can create a static library project called myboost, copy you source there.
If this a managed project it will be all set you just have to build it. It will produce libmyboost.a file

In the project that using it you have to specify few things - that a) you want to link to that library b) where to find it c) where to find headers for this library d) if you want you can specify project dependency, so if you change library you binary project will be automatically recompiled

    Docs for managed projects set-up

    --------------------------------

For manage projects (both main and library are managed projects).

Main project is aaa and library is bbb.

    * Specify library and library path in linker
    In aaa project properties->C/C++ Build->Settings->QCC Linker->Libraries

    - Select "All configurations" in Configuration drop down at the top of the
    window
    - In library path add ${workspace_loc:/bbb}/${ConfigName} (Click add icon)
(variable with $ are verbatim, bbb is the project name which changes)

    - In libraries, click Add and add you library name, i.e. bbb

    * Specify includes
    - Switch to Qcc Compiler->Preprocessor on the left

    - Add include folder ${workspace_loc:/bbb/src} (assuming public headers for bbb
library in src folder of bbb project
In aaa project properties->C/C++ General->Paths and Symbols->Referebces tab

    * Specify dependency
    - In configurations select your active configuration (on top)

    - Expand bbb project and select matching configuration

    - Unfortunately you have to repeat it for all configurations you use (Select
Configuration on top, then check reference to matching configuration in bbb
    project)
Press Apply and close the dialog

I was able to get the project to post a link, but this seems a little more finicky (as if I change a library in General "C/C++" project ownership, it erases the libraries located in ' C/C++ Build'.

Finally, the question I have not met yet, number #3:

How truly I create an application that uses a shared library, because shared libraries are not supported (in the direction of load a single library and everyone can access). The Release version (which creates a BAR) will add him or this library I need to do something more?

So after all that, advice or solutions?

I guess I should do the same for a static library?

    * facepalm * okay, nevermind. I didn't know that I had 2 files of source code with the same name. Question #1 and #2 set. I'll leave the thread open if someone knows the answer to the #3 question.
