• Want glossary Accessible on all slides

  I want to include a glossary that is available throughout the whole of the project with a click of a button which will be on all slides.  I chatted with the help of Adobe, and he suggested, I put the glossary on each page, hide, and then show it when the button is clicked. Is not a reasonable solution. I created a glossary on a slide and jump to it (via a tip Action). It works, but only if the slide with the visible glossary by users. If I hide this slide, it's as if the slide (with Glossary) does not exist and does not have the button to access the glossary. Is possible to have a widget that is visible with a click of a button? 

  Really, on each slide? Who was who. Sorry about this off-topic ranting. You don't mention the version you're using, so I'll explain for versions including CP9, but do not use the States where you're always on CP8 or earlier.

  My approach is this:

  • Put the glossary on the first slide, make sure to extend its duration until the end of the slide (CTRL-E)
  • This glossary of time for the rest of the project, always on top (synchronization properties panel).
  • Make the invisible glossary output (look up icon to the left of the Panel properties, the best approach is to hide with the event on entering each slide, to ensure that the latter is hidden when returning to a slide in the case of the user does not hide the glossary.) You can use the same (shared) action to do what I'm going to explain to the toggle button.
  • Place a button shape on the first slide, and time as well for the rest of the project, always on top. You can leave visible output, since it makes alternate the interaction of the glossary.   • If you want to use the button as a toggle, a variable user v_glossary, who will act as a Boolean, with a default of 0.

• How this box apply to all Documents?

  I don't know that it's probably an easy question.  I added another check box (apply to all Documents) and when his I want the changes to the selected control boxes below display for all open documents.

  Fixed a few typos but basically your "everything/nothing" checkbox is a modifier for the source object on which the changeGrep function call.

• How can I prevent Captivate to advance to the next slide, after the end of the audio and I click on click to show/hide sidebar box?

  I currently have a slide that plays audio.  While usage is listening to the narration that I can click on three different click the boxes with advanced actions to open and close text boxes, I want the user to read the value.  When reading narrative ends and I'll click on the boxes to click to read a text box, it moves to the next slide.  I understand that I may have to replace the box with smart buttons click but I don't know how to stop the progression to the next slide.  I already have a next button that is put on pause until the user clicks.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm on a tight schedule.

  It is not possible to set the position Y all an answers on slides.

  However, you should not position each answer on each slide separately. You can select all the options response on a slide and distribute vertically in one only once, by clicking on the button split vertically on the alignment toolbar. This will ensure that the options are equidistant. You will need to repeat this task for each slide.

  It was something that happened in 7.0.0 to 7.0.2 (I think). Then the product has been updated with day/fixed to keep the feedback boxes that they were after the slide has been created. It was then that you were able to customize the rear power, and not to lose the customization during the change of the default label (or anything else in the Quiz Manager also).

  So you see only not the feedback change in 7.0.7, I think is the correct functionality.

  I found account, is a simulation training and evaluation where the timing of the slides is set to 3 seconds of post-production: I want to change ALL of the timing of slides to 2 sec.

  No, I do not know such a flow of work and also think that this would probably cause a lot of questions. If you have interactive objects, change the slide duration will change active/inactive parts, if you have any effects, the duration will be changed relatively, if you have audio, it will cut off etc...

  Is there a particular reason why you want to do this? Maybe for a little little the size of the file? Most oppose default timeline will no doubt also be 3secs, to reduce the duration of the slide that you will first have to decrease the times of the object or attach them to the end of the slide (CTRL-E). If there is no real staggering into objects that will be the fastest way (but always slide/slide):

  • finding items of each type/style and define his script in 2 seconds, you can use the small curved arrow top right of the accordion of Timing to apply to all objects of that style/type

  Hi, I've been using Captivate 4 for a few years and I am to evaluate v.5.5 for an upgrade, but still I am facing some problems.

  When you change text, questions and answer fields legends, I can't 'apply to all' properties general character and Format.

  In CP 4 in Properties window it was a field 'apply to all', is there an equivalent in CP 5.5? or should I do the chages slide by slide?

  The option apply to all not always worked very well, that I remember.

  CP5.5 has now object styles and style of object manager. You can set these styles for all new projects, if you open the Manager before opening a file, or set up in a project file.

  If you want to change all the legends after creating them in the default caption Style, change the style of a legend to your wishes, a + sign will appear next to default caption Style in the PI (see screenshot, highlighted in yellow). Then use the button with the floppy disk (highlighted in green) to record what the default style and all the legends that had the default caption Style automatically gets the same formatting.

  For some reason any default folder view changed something I certainly won't.  However, when I go to "Folder Options" to change the display by default, the option "apply to all folders" is grayed out.

  Why is this?  How can I change the display of files by default to what I want?

• Whenever I have customize a folder in Windows Live Mail, the changes are applied to all files and not only that I specified.

I have 4 email addresses and when I started ' Customize I'm went to SEE, COLUMNS and adjusted to the order of the columns and to check the column or not. If I'm creating the Inbox of course I want 'FROM' but not 'To' as it is me. If I'm creating for "SENT" I want 'TO' but not 'FROM' for similar reasons.   What file, export, text... captions? You have a Word document with two columns. Definition of the second column (much easier in Word) and import again. This is the normal workflow for translation. It is possible with XML instead of the word.

  Use the template of sub for your header or footer.  Create your report without header/footer, then call the sup of it model.
