Sharing files via BBM [amateur]

Hey! Before I start I clear I used, gone through the invocation all the associated examples & Yes still does not know how to share a particular file to BBM contacts with just one button.

I am building an application of sounds & it's going to be a simple list with Preview view, send options. Can anyone help to share with these sounds attached above to BBM contacts?

About me, a startup developer and know little of QML. nothing else. So more QML is appreciated.

You're close.  Here's what you need to do.

Button {
    id: share
    text: "Share"
    onClicked: {
        invokeQuery.data = "This is some text to share."
        invokeQuery.updateQuery();
        invokeShare.trigger("bb.action.SHARE");
    }
    attachedObjects: [
        Invocation {
            id: invokeShare
            query {
                InvokeQuery {
                    id: invokeQuery
                    mimeType: "text/plain"
                    invokeTargetId: "sys.bbm.sharehandler"
                    onQueryChanged: invokeShare.query.updateQuery()
                }
            }
        }
    ]

  • Home network with 2 PC with Windows 7 and 1 PC Windows XP. When sharing files via the MSHome network I have permission errors. How can I solve this?

    original title: cannot open or copy some files within the home network

    I have a home network that are connected by a router.

    A (main) pc is connected via a cable to a router on Windows XP pro sp3.
    2 other laptops running Windows 7 connected via Wifi.

    All of them configured to work with the workgroup MSHOME.
    On the pc main (with XP), I have a folder shared with full access, including change files. The folder contains videos that are uploaded directly to it.

    Sometimes 2 other laptops can not access some files, they see them but can't open them or copy them, I get this error:
    http://S3.PostImage.org/623foisor/image.PNG

    If I do the following:
    On my main pc I move the movie file in this folder to another folder and then bad bring it back.
    The file can be accessed and copied!

    What's wrong?!

    I'm glad that you guessed it work.

    Permissions show that "Everyone" has full access inherited, so that the list must have been made after that you have added everyone.  "Everyone" in this list without a guest user (or any user if you have active Simple file sharing) would not have permissions on this folder.

  • Shared via BBM

    I'm trying to share a file via BBM, which is called from my application.

    The file is stored under my assets in my application.

    It works fine when I store assets in file:///accounts/1000/shared/misc/, but I have problems when the file is stored inside the app.

    I tried the following:

    request.setUri(QUrl(QDir::currentPath() +"/app/native/assets/myfile.txt"));

    request.setUri("asset:///myfile.txt");

    Anyone know the path to the current folder which will work with BBM?

    Ah, this works:

    "file:"+QDir::currentPath()+"/app/native/assets/myfile.txt"

  • Problem with sharing of data specific to the application via BBM 10.2

    Hello - I am having a problem of data sharing applications with BBM 10.2-specific. I take the advice of some comments here, and it seems to work on 10.1. I can receive the file on 10.2, but when I try to share on the same device that I get this:

    InvocationWrapper::onQueryFinished: no matching result from Menu Service for query
       mimeType=""
       uri=QUrl("file:///accounts/1000/shared/misc/My App Data.myapp")
       data= ""
       metadata= QMap()
       perimeter= 0
       action= "bb.action.SHARE"
       target= "sys.bbm.sharehandler"
       invokerIncluded= false
    InvocationPrivate::onQueryResolved: no result matching query, no armed signal sent.

    It is the call that I use, which works on 10.1 but not 10.2:

    Invocation {
       id: invokeBBM
       query {
          InvokeQuery {
             id: invokeBBMQuery
             uri: "file:///accounts/1000/shared/misc/My App Data.myapp"
             invokeTargetId: "sys.bbm.sharehandler"
             invokeActionId: "bb.action.SHARE"
          }
       }
    }

    I also tried it with a "text/plain" MIME type and a few other variations, same result. If something has changed in point 10.2?

    (And while I'm asking, any reason why I can't use the data instead of a file uri? I need to convert the data in JSON, save the file, share the file, send, receive, save the file on the receiver, then open it, read it, and convert it back. Seems a little roundabout, if I could share the JSON data. "(And this is the only reason that my application requires permissions of shared files)."

    Thank you!

    It is a problem with the current version of BlackBerry Dev 10.2 Alpha.  You can call C++ BBM, but citing QML does not work.

  • Enter the data shared via BBM inside an application

    Hello

    I need to capture data shared via BBM inside my app BB10. I need to recover the data shared via BBM and then integrate it into my application.

    Is this possible. There is an onShareContent in the BBM-BB7.  We have this method in BB10 on the receiver side.

    This will then run on the receiver side. This must be set before the call to register()
    BlackBerry.BBM.Platform.Users.onsharecontent = function (sender As Object, content, description, timestamp) {}
    try {}

    } catch (e) {}
    TODO: handle exception
    Alert ("sharecontent.init Exception" + e);
    }
    }

    Kind regards

    Annuk

    BlackBerry 10 it is not possible to intercept data shared to BlackBerry Messenger.  But, your application can be a target from any application that supports sharing.  See the link below for more information.

  • Installation of airport for sharing files on multiple devices

    Hoping for insurance that I have not bought the wrong thing if you please...

    Just bought a Time Capsule of airport in the belief that it can be used for WiFi sharing of files between an iMac running El captain, two iPads, (including the paces) and various iPhone 6. All running the latest OS version popular with all updates.

    I have a WiFi router from sky as the main broadband connection and connected the Airport via the cable.

    Here's where I fight - I can't figure out how to see my iPhone files. I have Airport utility loaded and he can see the airport and the new network created during the installation. I'm unable to access the drive, however. I have external hard drives I can connect to it for extra storage shared but that beats the type of object for me.

    Heres so gasoline:

    I put in the airport place incorrectly

    I caused the problem by creating a new network

    I should junk the router from the sky

    I have to use iTunes etc to access shared files

    I send back to the airport and buy something else

    Or otherwise I'm just a techno-pleb?

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

    Apple has not designed the iOS to work the way you plan to use. It is not planned to work at the level of the files at all.

    So, to access the files on the TC, you must use a third-party application... the best known is the filebrowser. But there are others.

    Even if it won't the ipad works as a computer... It is not expected to be used this way.

    There is nothing wrong with the TC... It's probably the best device for work... Since no other hard drive Wireless will do better. The question is purely iOS not TB.

  • Access to the shared file on JB

    On my previous phone, a Droid X running GB, I was able to access the shared files on the networks of my home and office via an option in the shared folders in the file manager. I don't see point in GB.

    Any help with this would be appreciated.

    Go to the game store and get a file management application. Most of them will give you this functionality. I like Astro File Manager and I also know that it doesn't have this feature. I hope this helps.

  • Accidentally sent a file via airdrop share in a coffee shop.  My iPad would be confirmed if they accept?

    I think I accidentally sent a file via airdrop share in a coffee shop.  My iPad would see a confirmation if they accepped this file?  I don't know if it went or was accepted by the person in the Café.  I used the ADP app and press the share instead of open in iBooks. Just put my fingers too quickly and do not not paying attention.

    I'm on iPad 2 Air, iOS 9.3.5

    First of all, don't you configured AirDrop for access to "everyone"?  If this is not the case, there is no problem.

    Yes, you will see a confirmation (if you chose to watch, which may be the case, since you say that you have missed a lot of other obvious warnings.)  It would appear near circle of the person...

    If you sent the file Ben and he agreed, you will see a small notification by circle of Ben.

  • copy or duplicate in sharing files cannot point

    IM currently on 5.0.15 Server with OSX 10.11.3 3 computers (clients) on OSX 10.11.5 and have found that they can not copy or duplicate in sharing files to point to the server. When you attempt to reproduce or copy a file you get the following message "unable to connect to the server because the name or password is incorrect." However copy on another share point is fine. Just won't work in this share point. Moving the file is fine. Any other Client computers are on OSX 10.11.4 or lower do not experience this problem. Should I update it with OS and App Server and hope that this question will far more recent?  Thank you

    I just checked using the latest version of the Server 5.1.5 and client OS X 10.11.5. and duplication and copying files works very well for the actions of the SMB and AFP.

    If you have only tested using higher level, create a folder and see if the problem occurs when you are working on files inside this folder. If it isn't, then you have your bad permissions/ownership/ACL on the server. You should check the ACL as well as Posix ownership and permissions.

    Also, try to remove the part in the sharing Panel and then Server to add it again.

  • I can't transfer file via airdrop between the macbook pro and my iphone 6.

    Hello world

    just bought a new macbook pro 2015 and I can't transfer file via airdrop between the macbook pro and my iphone 6.

    Can someone please help me solve this problem?

    Thank you

    < re-titled by host >

    First check the steps to run the drop:

    Use AirDrop to send the contents of your Mac - Apple Support

    There are some work around to try airdrop work:

    1. Turn off Bluetooth on your Mac.
    2. Delete /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
    3. Re-turn on Bluetooth

    You can find more info here:

    Transfer and AirDrop does not work in El Capitan

    If you do not see all of your device, it means that you are affected by the same problem, I have known, since the upgrade to OS X the air drop of Captain does not work.

  • Toshiba 32L3433DG DLNA setup - how to navigate the shared files

    I activated in multimedia sharing options, I put media player on server base sides... but please tell me... where I have to go or do on my TV to browse folders shared network (in this case movies)?

    It's a big mystery I see

    You can use this TV as MEDIA Renderer.
    This feature allows reading/sharing files stored on a MEDIA compatible smartphone, tablet pc or laptop on the TV. Install software on your device and read the instructions in the Software Division for more information.
    To activate the MEDIA converter and press left or right to toggle key is characteristic.

    The media browser also lets you access the multimedia files stored on USB storage devices connected to the TV or MEDIA servers in the same network.

    To launch the media browser window, press the arrow of reading on the remote control button. The media browser menu is also accessible from the main menu. Press MENU on the remote control. Select media browser by pressing the right / left and press OK.
    Select the media type to appear and press OK. If there is more than one media source available, a list of the devices and servers will be displayed. Highlight the device or server in the list and press OK.

    All the details are here in the user manual:
