  • Wide screen is not fully used (Win XP, Service Pack 3)

Bought a Monitor wide screen LCD (Asus VE276Q) to replace my existing LCD display.  RGA is an entry.

Problem: The wide screen is not fully used.

Symptom: When starting, during Win XP Welcome screen, it seems that takes full advantage of the wide screen.

But when he moved to the office (or a web page), about 3 inches on the left and right sides are not used.

What I tried: play with the buttons on the monitor, but may not have to work.

Question: How can I get Win XP to fully use the display on the big screen?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Hermmm,

    • Who were the drivers that you have deleted from your computer?
    • You have the Windows XP installation disk?

    Step 1

You can try to boot the computer to the last good known Configuration and check if it helps to start the desktop. To boot to the desktop in Dungeon known, pressing F8 during restart last good Configuration. Once you see the startup option in the last good known Configuration and press ENTER. Check if you can access the desktop.

You can also try to disconnect all external devices except the keyboard, mouse and monitor and check if you can boot to the desktop.

    Step 2

If the steps above do not help, you can boot to the recovery console and try to disable the service or the device to the computer and check if it helps you to solve the problem. • Display on a monitor is not fully used. What should do?

I recently bought a Mac mini (end of 2014)

    OS X 10.11.5 (15F34)

I use a Samsung 19 inch monitor via mini display port to VGA.

But the screen is not fully used (black on both right and left of the picture)

When I go to about this mac > display, this is show 13.9 inch (800 x 600). I changed the resolution of 1280 x 1024 through the display preferences. But it is still not working and this mac > display, shows always 13.9 inch (800 x 600). The image is blurred.

    Help, please...

You may need to buy a graphics card in order to use a different port on the computer.

Check the display to see if there are other options of the signal may use another cable.

A more recent model computer should be able to use a modern with Thunderbolt screen

connections; Some cables with ends adapter for use with older screens may work

If the display can be used in this way. Not all of the same works if an adapter may adapt to the form.

Some display models require pilots who would be obscure and not included with

OS X; I have another Samsung that turns, it is supported but you must use a third-

Not sure if your screen is oldest of those who may need a separate control software.

There is a updated firmware for Mini Display Port to VGA (himself):

It may be due to the absence of a favorite graphics card. Or a longer display limit.

If the adapter is an Apple product, it would be able to accept the firmware.

  • Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox window is sometimes "off screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?

A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt. You can delete this file and Firefox will return to standard window resizing.

#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

#2 method: If you can not get a Firefox window for all:

Close Firefox by right clicking the icon in the taskbar > close all windows.

Using the Run dialog box (windows key + R) or the start search bar menu type or paste the following and press Enter to drill down to the profiles folder:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Here you can see a folder - in this case, double-click that - or more than one case - in this case, double-click on in what looks like the most recently updated.

Scroll down and rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

Then, to re - light bars, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bars it:

To activate the menu bar, toolbar bookmarks or other bars, click it in the list.

    Hello

    Can help with this problem?
It is said on a blue screen when I start my laptop: this Bios is not fully ACPI comliant. It was in windows xp.
Recently upgraded to windows 7 but hey ho always the same error.

All the bios etc, usual default settings was eager Flash the BIOS to see if that can help, but cannot because the update of the BIOS is windows based program... grrrr cannot get into windows!

    Hey Buddy,

You can start Windows in safe mode?
Enter the advanced Windows (key F8) boot menu, and then select Safe mode. Windows starts without driver and usually it should always work.

Also have you tested it with the factory settings? Try to install Windows with all tools and pre-tested drivers recovery disk. This recovery image is pre-tested by Toshiba and everything should work if not it s serious malfunction of equipment.

  • Satellite Pro A200SE-1F9 starts showing blue screen

    Hello

I recently bought a Satellite Pro A200SE 1F9 (2.00 Ghz, 2 GB RAM, professional running Vista), after 4 months he began to launch Blue error screen. I tried not to upgrade or fix a new material. I had a Linux Fedora 7 (dual boot), as I was getting this error quite often I got Vista Business (using Toshiba recovery disc). Now, I have only Vista in my laptop (lost Linux completely).
Some time the Notepad starts and goes inside Vista, after 10/20 mts, it starts again after showing blue screen, in other cases it keeps restart after a quick blue screen start.

I'm really frustrated by this behavior and don't know what to do. Can someone help me please in the present.

    Thank you
    R ncira

Have you installed a few applications which can be responsible for that?

I can't imagine that the BSOD occurs after a clean install of Vista OS.

  • Laptop showing 4 screens!

    Hello
Sometimes my laptop sometimes start showing 4 screens and sometimes when rebooted several times. Starts to work normally. Seems to me more a problem of drivers, or else why would begin normally if it is a hardware problem. Also, when the laptop was running, I continued shaking the laptop just to check if it was a hardware problem as a cable of the lcd screen may be loose that mounted in the motherboard, but it wasn't the case.

Found the solution. Read somewhere yesterday, but never tried. It was in my mind. After restroring and you come here when no answer came, I'm desperate. Open my laptop went out of ram, placed at the back, laptop turned on and wow it worked great. Then laptop closed and started using normally.

If the first test, the laptop does not work, try again, it took me 3 tries from replacement ram similarly and the other port of ram to solve this problem.

  • BIOS not fully ACPI compliant?

PC turns off, sometimes during start up and sometimes shortly after the start and displays a BIOS 'blue error screen' not fully ACPI compliant?  It will then try to auyomatically start up on its own or I have to make a choice of boot options. What is causing this strange behavior?

    Hello

    1. you did it before the issue of any material changes or software?

Please let us know the blue stop screen error as well.

To resolve this problem, you need to set the BIOS to the default settings. To do this, contact the manufacturer of your system.
Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can resolved e. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    original title: image size

My pcture does not cover the entire screen area. I show a notch about 1 1/2 "on each side. How to enlarge the photo?

Thank you very much for your answers. Allow me to clarify my situation. I'm dealing with a new Toshiba laptop computer. I can't say that this condition exists since the beginning. The image that I'm interested in right now shows a blank black 1 1/2 "wide on each side. My screen resolution is set to 1024 X 768. Where should I go now?

    Hello

Question Of Ken Blake , I have a few other questions.

    1. on what requests the image is not covered the entire screen?

There could be a possibility that the size of the image might be low.
    2. have you tried opening the photo in question using different applications?

    If so, the problem persists?

Also try opening the image on another computer.

    3. do not you upload the image on the site?

    4. are you referring to picture covering the whole on a secondary monitor?
    5. you try to set the image as wallpaper?

    6. Finally, as Ken pointed out, have you downloaded and installed the correct Windows 7 drivers for your videocard from the manufacturer's website?
