Sheets of variable SEARCH
I'm building a document of baseball statistics.
I have a main sheet to keep the visitor and second sheet team score to keep the score for the home team.
I have additional sheets, each with a list for a different team. Jersey number in column A and the name of the player in the B column.
I would like to be able to put the Jersey on the main sheet number and that the sheet will indicate the player compared to the additional sheets. I would like to name the team on the main sheet and then use this value for the research on the leaves of the list actors. I can't find a way to build the SEARCH formula so that it looks on the sheet of different teams to choose the good player. I can attribute a single sheet when I initially set up the formula, but I can't find a way to make it seem a variable sheet based on the assigned different team.
I know this is kind of convoluted. But the main objective is: the value of research - where to SEARCH command being a different sheet based on the name of the team assigned.
Any thoughts?
you build the string that produces the reference and then use it as an argument to the indirect() function that is then used as an argument to the beach to perform the search in the lookup function
then... If you have sheets appointed:
'Home'
"Astros".
"Blue Sox.
"Red Sox".
There is a table for each sheet Let's say his name "alignment".
the formula of seek up the name of the player (from column B) based on the number of players (of column) in the "Astros" table is (assuming the number of players looking in cell A2):
= VLOOKUP (A2, Astros::Roster:A:B, 2, 0)
If the name of the team is in cell A1 then:
= VLOOKUP (A2, indirect ($A$ 1 & ":Roster::A:B", 2, 0))

Deployment of final application with the command line Question
OK so I have my finished application.
on a folder in my office called "CODBOUG".
So I tried different methods to run the application and complete the test on the Simulator with the command line. But it's just too much. So I need your help community!
I tried:
BlackBerry-deploy-installApp-package CallofDutyBlackOpsUltimateG
uide.bar - device 192.168.18.128
I'm a little lost with the help of the command line, if someone could guide me on the right lane.
I'm on windows, btw.
Thank you.
When you run a command, Windows will search in a series of directories for this program to run. The list of directories is stored in what is called an environment variable. You must add the path to the bin of the sdk at this variable directory (e.g. C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder Burrito\sdks\blackberry-tablet-sdk-0.9.3\bin).
You can access the path variable by right-clicking on my computer > properties. Select the Advanced tab and click on approx. Variables.
Under System Variables, search PATH and edit it. Add the path to the sdk bin directory (make sure that there is a semicolon, that separates the directories).
Open a command line window in the directory where your .bar file. When you run the command, Windows will look for blackberry - deploy and can be found in the directory that you have added to your PATH variable so to run it.

Hello
When I try to compile any project in the 4.3, 4.5 or 4.6 JDK, it gives me this error:
I/O Error: Cannot run program "javac": CreateProcess error=2,
What should I do?
Thank you.
The path to your Java compiler probably looks something like this:
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_16\bin
.. .your mileage may vary. You will need to locate the JDK or you will need to install it if it is not there.
To change your variable PATH of Windows:
Control Panel / System / Advanced / Environment Variables
In the section 'System Variables', search for 'PATH' and press 'CHANGE '. You want to you have already copied the path information to the Clipboard so that you can go to the end of the path and paste it into. Be sure to place a semicolon between the last defined path and your new info. Attention is not to crush stuff already defined in the path.

Running two services of "executeService".
Hello
I work with IdocScript in a model and spin in a bit of a problem. In this model, I'm a loop in one set of search results and at each iteration, I loop through an entirely different set of search results. The problem with that is that once the inner loop has finished on the first iteration of the outer loop, the outer loop thinks it's too done. More than likely, it is logical, because the directive to loop through the results of the search is exactly the same. Is it possible that I can accomplish this task? Maybe I can call the result set of the inner loop of something different? Maybe I go about it the wrong way?
<!-$executeService ("SS_GET_SEARCH_RESULTS")->
<! - $loop SearchResults - >
<!-DO SOMETHING...-><!-$QueryText = "dDocName < match > ' ' & contentID &" ' "-->".
<!-$executeService ("SS_GET_SEARCH_RESULTS")->
<! - $loop SearchResults - >
<!-DO SOMETHING...->
<!-$endloop->
<! - DO other THING... - >
<!-$endloop->Thank you for your time!
Make a copy of the first SearchResults ResultSet.
After your inner loop, copy the copy in the variable search results. You may also move the cursor to the line to the current line (which you may need to manually track).
Keep in mind that a loop like this, can cause performance problems, according to the number of results you will find. There could be a logical way to go about this, if you explain your use of business case.

Any idea about this problem on installing the Oracle Client
Hello
Client computer: Dell notebook, i5, Win 7 SP1 Enterprise 64-bit (8 GB of RAM)
I am trying to install the oracle 11.2.0.3 client 64-bit on this machine, but facing problems. After I'm done specifying ORACLE_BASE and selection of the language and 'Administrative' selected option instead of 'instant customer' or 'Runtime', by clicking on the next button, progress bar is displayed and the time it's done with audit requirements that disappears from the screen moving in together. I ran the installer with the option "Run as Administrator" too and tried to use 11.2.0.2 setup, but in vain.
Quick question... I have a CSI valid, if I get a ticket with Oracle, they would help me on problem installing client that I am facing. In the past I was able to install the client on this machine, I am just clueless despite that I looked at the log generated by the Setup program file.

Unfortunately, there are administrators in Windows, then there are administrators. Apparently not all administrators are created equal. Don't ask me to explain, I do not understand myself, I just know that this is a truth. Still a reason more I learned to avoid Windows I get chances.

Difference betweeen JDBC and JRE
Hello
What is the fundamental difference between JDBC and JRE?
JDBC used to connect jdbc (Application users) connections to the database.
We use a JRE to access forms only... is that correct?
Please provide details

unique index for several columns
Hi all
We have a requirement for our application, to add a single search box, which searches more than 1 table of different columns. The way in which we have now implemented, is the following (simplified example):
Select *.
WCP
where instr(ename,:SEARCH) > 0
or instr(job,:SEARCH) > 0
or...
This approach is relatively slow, of course. I want to change it, using the text of the Oracle. Can you give me advice what kind of index, must be used? Our requirement:
-index must continue to be up-to-date (a few seconds)
-research must be
-case insensitive preference
-number of columns to be indexed: aprox. 20 in a table
I heard once you can make a function, with all the columns you want to index. This function generates an xml document, and you can use this function to create an Oracle text index. However, I can't seem to find how I can implement that. Or is there a better aproach?
Thanks again for your help!You can use a multi_column_datastore, that generates xml documents as you describe in the scenes. You can also use the transactional option or sync (on validation) with optimization. See the simplified example with only two columns below that matches what you provided. You can find further information and examples for the multi_column_datastore in the online documentation.
SCOTT@orcl_11gR2> begin 2 ctx_ddl.create_preference ('emp_ds', 'multi_column_datastore'); 3 ctx_ddl.set_attribute ('emp_ds', 'columns', 'ename, job'); 4 end; 5 / PL/SQL procedure successfully completed. Query performance poor when they join CONTAINS to another table
We just recently started evaluation Oracle Text for a search solution. We must be able to find a table which can have over 20 million lines. Each user can have visibility to a very small part of these lines. The goal is to have a single Oracle text index that represents all the columns of research in the table (multi column datastore) and provide a score for each search result so that we can sort the search results in descending score order. What we see is that the performance of the queries of TOAD are extremely fast, when we write a simple CONTAINS query against the table indexed Oracle text. However, when we first try reduce the lines from that CONTAINS query must search using a we find the query performance degrades significantly.
For example, we can find all the records that a user has access from our base table of the following query:
SELECT d.duns_loc
DUNS d
JOIN primary_contact pc
ON d.duns_loc = pc.duns_loc
AND pc.emp_id =: employeeID;
This query may run in < 100 m in the example, this query returns close to 1200 lines of the duns_loc of primary key.
Our search query looks like this:
SELECT score (1), d.
DUNS d
WHERE CONTAINS (TEXT_KEY,: research, 1) > 0
ORDER BY score (1) DESC;
The: Find value in this example will be 'Highway '. The query can return 246 k lines in about 2 seconds.
2 seconds is good, but we should be able to have a much quicker response if the request did not have to search the entire table, right? Since each user can only records from 'view' that they are assigned to as us if the search operation had to be analysed a tiny tiny percentage of the TEXT index, we should see results faster (and more relevant). If we now write the following query:
WITH the subset
AS
(SELECT d.duns_loc
DUNS d
JOIN primary_contact pc
ON d.duns_loc = pc.duns_loc
AND pc.emp_id =: employeeID
)
SELECT score (1), d.
DUNS d
JOIN the subset s
ON d.duns_loc = s.duns_loc
WHERE CONTAINS (TEXT_KEY,: research, 1) > 0
ORDER BY score (1) DESC;
For reasons that we have not been able to identify this query actually takes longer to run than the sum times the contributing elements. This query takes more than 6 seconds to run. We, or our DBA can understand why this query runs worse than a large open research. Open research is not ideal because the query eventually folders back to the user, they do not have access to view.
Has anyone ever encountered something like that? Any suggestions on what to watch or where to go? If someone wants more information to help diagnosis to let me know, and I'll be happy to produce it here.
Thank you!!Since you're using two tables, you will get probably better performance on an index that uses a section group and a user_datastore that uses a procedure. He should be able to recover all the data with a simple query, and hit a single index. Please see the demo below. Indexing can be slower, but research should be faster. If you have your primary and foreign keys in place and current statistics before you create the index, it should speed up indexing.

How to link two pieces of text to read always the same...
I have an InDesign Doc with a Master Page containing a margin and some graphic images that I want displayed on each page.
It works very well, so that when I change the captain all other pages are updated.
However, in the design of master there is a header that reads "title" of the document and the "Version number".
This information is presented on the cover page of the document.
What I want to do, is to allow the header of automatic update for all that is in the first cover Page text, as it will be the first completed field.
Is this possible?
Thank you very much
Max
The running header variable is not looking for a header, its main function is to create a header, you would find in a dictionary or a phone book. The variable search text with a style is applied, the paragraph or character style. In this case, you probably want to use a paragraph style, and as Jongware said, this must be a style not used elsewhere in the file (it may be based on another style, if necessary, so that it looks and acts like other model if you want to change, as long as it has a unique name).
Set the variable to the header (paragraph Style) running and choose "first on the page' as the position. ID should look until he actually finds the style, which is located on the first page, and continue to use that until he finds a new inistance on a new page, which, in your case, shouldn't happen, so anything you put in that first paragraph should show around where you put the variable.

The OPA - jdk freestandning Setup
During the installation of the OPA, a pre - req's Java 6. Our company has applications internal applet that requires a particular Java (1.4 do not ask why or why we don't use Citrix). An installation of jdk freestandning (Floating (planer) (copy from another machine) that I use for Java development.
Is there a why with the setup.ini file to use the JDK (version 6), rather than to let Setup install install jre delivered?None of the prerequisites are forced installed - if you want to install JRE 6 and then just say "no" when prompted. There is no need to modify the setup.ini file. I often choose not to install JRE 6 on my test VM OPM, as I have Java 5 installed.
By default, the "JAVA_HOME" environment variable searches OPM. If this fails, it will look in the registry (under the key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment') for the JavaHome string equivalent. You can replace the two of them in OPM by going to the 'Tools' menu and choose 'Options '. Under the group 'Development of modules', choose 'run '. This will display the 'Java Runtime Path' parameter which will allow you to access any JRE or JDK that you want to use. for example, I use "C:\Program Files\Java\JDK1.5.0_19" to reproduce the bugs reported on Java 1.5 on my machine, even though my JAVA_HOME for Java 6 update 18 points.

search function is named in a reference cell sheet
I need make the SEARCH function in another SPREADSHEET which LEAF-NAME is in another CELL. The INDIRECT function does not work, so I have to manually enter the SHEET NAME.
In the picture below - I currently have to enter the name of the journal '' 2016-04 in Fx LOOKUP, but I prefer variable names of the cells B20 C20, D20 etc, reference sheet instead of having to change Fx LOOKUP for each sheet.
Each month, I add a new datasheet with a new name and I can not just copy the search for Fx in a new column and refer to the form again without having to edit the NAME of the WORKSHEET.
What Miss me. The RESEARCH of Fx don't just use a simple cell to "B20" instead of 2016 ' reference - 04'!
Hi Scoopster,
"What I'm missing. "The Fx RESEARCH don't just use a simple cell to"B20"instead of 2016 ' reference - 04'!"
Go numbers > Preferences > General
Uncheck the appropriate box.
INDIRECT aid formula
Picture on the right is a copy of the one on the second sheet. The formula references columns A and D of the original of this picture.
B9: SEARCH ($A9, INDIRECT (B $ 3 & ": table 1: $A", addr-style), INDIRECT (B $ 3 & ": table 1: $D", addr-style))
Adjust the cell references to match your tables.

Months of searching for numbers on the sheet
Hello all and thanks in advance.
I have tabs at the top. DATA (sheet 1), JAN (sheet 2), FEB (record 3), etc. until the end of the year.
Data sheet will be the months on the left now I want care to go to the form to correct month and takes the total of the column relative to the other leaves and place in the correct cell line. (I've been copy paste, but I know there is an easier way to do this, so I turn to the people who know the numbers unlike my lack of knowledge.)
On the leaves of the month, I would also like to highlight the line that are sat and Sun.
Thanks again everyone for their help.
Rich
Hi, NN,.
You will have a Table for each month. Each Table must have a different name. Your summary table lists more than 12 months, then I would say the table name from each month is named with the name of the month AND the year.
The monthly tables may appear on separate sheets, or the same sheet. The key, as far as the formulae are concerned, is that each Table can be identified by its name.
The following example includes only the table for April 2016, named "APR 2016", I assumed that the total line will be row 33 on each table of data collection, but wrote the formula to allow the placement of the line totals in other places. The lines for most of the actual days have been hidden and has not been designated, as these labels have no role in the operation of the formula.
The TOTALS is defined as a footer line. The formula, in the columns showing a value is SUM (a) where 'a' is the letter of the column to be added. (The two values of zero have been entered manually for example).
The table has a unique formula, entered in cell B3 and filled with right and until the last line for which there is a Table whose name corresponds to the label in column A. For example, the formula has been met only 3 online.
B3: = INDEX (APRIL 2016: $A$ 1: $ 33, MATCH $N ("TOTALS", APRIL 2016: $A, 0), GAME ($ 1 B, APRIL 2016: $1: $1.0),)
Syntax:
INSTRUCTION (range,-l'index of the line, column-index, index of the surface)
range: all of the cells in the source table
the index of the line: the number of the start line to get the value. This is provided by the first statement of the GAME.
the index of the column: the number of the column from which to get the value. This is provided by the second statement to MATCH.
the index of the surface: omis. By default, 1. There is only 1 area of application of this INDEX, all of the source table.
MATCH (image search-search for, - where - method)
EQUIV function returns the position in the list of the search for value.
First case:
search for: TOTALS text
search - where: column A of table source
method): 0 means finding the exact value.
Second case:
search for: the text contained in the cell of line 1 of the specified column. That form is completed on the right, the increments of the column by one for each stage.
search - where: line 1 of table source
method): 0 means finding the exact value.
The formula should be changed for each new line. Three references to "APR 2016" should be changed to match the name of the table to collect this row grand totals. Once edited in column A, the formula can be filled right and automatically adapts to his new position.
Note: The duration value in column F of the table of the month wouldn't transfer and keep the same formula in column C of the summary table. Any attempt to restore the format to match your example resulted in a triangle of error.
Kind regards
Barry
