  I just bought a new T400 and my screen brightness can change. No matter on battery or AC power, there's always the brightest mode.

  When I press Fn + home / end, the indicator changes accordingly but not the screen itself.

  Since my laptop (dv6 pavilion 7090el) had to be formatted for another copy of windows 7 (64-bit), I can't make the keyboard shortcuts for brightness(f2-f3) /volume(f9-f10).

  I tried to uninstall/install/software of HP Quick Launch (with all the possible combos restarting System) and software seems to not really be installed, because it appears in the Control Panel, but not anywhere else.

  There is a video here with a quick presentation on the visible screen outdoors, and inside they compare it to the multitouch screen (you can tell is multitouch because of the thing red "nipple" on the screen that is used to open the shortcuts button as volume and brightness adjustment).

  I have 15 inch MBP mid 2015. I installed windows 10 in this regard through bootcamp, it was working fine except that I saw apple update that need to download updates, one was for the size 300 MB AMD graphics card and something small about 3 MB for the best work of the material I think.

  I installed both and since then I can't use keyboard shortcuts or even through the battery icon in the taskbar to set the brightness of the screen.

  I tried to install AppleKeyboardInstaller64 of BootCamp6.0.6133 no chance.
