"Should be a"customer safety reminder"mobile overheating wireless microsoft mouse 4000 USB transceiver.

Just on the phone talking to a Gordon in your extra parts department. I explained my MS Wireless Mouse is or could be at risk of fire and could have burned my finger seriously when I removed my laptop USB Port USB transceiver. I see all kinds of technical information of MS (KB326241) about this problem of overheating and how to get the mouse or the replaced transmitter/receiver. However, Gordon watched being only a question of warranty and MS would replace the transceiver overheating device after that I sent it to MS for the analysis. I don't mind send it back to MS for the analysis, but I was told that I have to pay shipping and special delivery to replace the follow-up costs.

If the Technical Support MS admits that they have this security problem customer, that this should be treated as a reminder before someone seriusly Burns houses, burn their house or destroys their computer. Before I return this transceiver to MS, I would like an answer in return. MS consider this issue a security issue or just another guarantee issue.   I intend to send this issue and the security on the US Federal Trade Commission, if I don't hear from Ms.   Please contact me on 303-422-XXXX. Also please email me at xxx* address email is removed from the privacy * and not my address MS Live. I'm in the MS system

Sincerely.

Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 Nano transceiver malfunction, overheated and burned my hand, how to contact Microsoft and get a new mouse?

  • Dysfunctions of the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 Nano transceiver... Burned my hand and melted!

So this is the second of these that I had and both have experienced the same problem. They work great for a while (a while being a coupe of weeks) and then one day the computer just indicates that Windows does not recognize the device and it malfunctioned. Then, when I go to take the nano transceiver it burns my hand and blends almost. Please, someone tell me I can buy the nano transceiver separately. I now have two of them (well, Microsoft has replaced the first) and none works. I think that Microsoft won't keep replacing the entire unit for me, because they didn't need to send me the old one first. I would like to just buy some transceivers so that I can keep 'in stock' so to speak when they go wrong (if all goes well they won't be). It is a great mouse, it's just the transmitter/receiver that needs work. Thanks for any help!

Transceivers are not sold separately therefore communicate with Microsoft and explain the problem.

At the time of the first wired mouse for Internet Explorer, I got about 4 replaced at different times and never had to send it back.  I guess that the questions were grouped because finally they worked just, in fact two still work fine on the server PC that are average close to go wireless.

Just be careful and don't ignite or burn.   I would add that I have the mouse BlueTrack Explorer on my desktop that works wonders and the Mini version on my netbook.  Both were perfectly executed.  I like the full size version because its rechargeable (when I remember to "anchor") so no more batteries wear out.

  • Microsoft will solve the problem of 'Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000'?

Because the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 scroll wheel is more fluid than the other mice, and is not "on the points of many applications (including Picture Viewer from Microsoft in Windows 7)" are not recording movement in the scroll wheel :(

These applications will record the movement when you flick madly (exaggerate your move), but on the tread of the wheel normal, nothing happens.

After research, I understand that this is because many applications read the signal coming to the "click" or "bump" a wheel of traditional scrolling to 120 units of movement.

It seems that the fluid motion in the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 sends in increments of 30 or 40 units and these programs don't scroll unless they get a signal of 120 (that's why you have to flip through wildly).

It's sad because it means that I don't like the mouse and I won't buy Microsoft again unless they fix it!

I recently bought Microsoft Wireless 4000 Mouse for my laptop DELL Latitude E6410. The laptop came with the default value to the pointing device setup application. I don't have Microsoft Intellipoint software. I have Win7 64 bit.

Here are the problems with the scroll wheel I noticed when I bought a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 4000

    (o) the scroll wheel does not scroll through the items of the combobox when the combo did NOT fall down, but has the input focus.

for example, control panel-> mouse-> pointers-> 'Plans' combobox.

    (o) the scroll wheel does not scroll the MS Office 2007 Ribbon.

    (o) in Word 2007, the Ctrl + wheel does not zoom out

    (o) the scroll wheel does not scroll the XML Notepad 2007

    Solution:

This solution is not mine - it was on the internet already.

    It worked for me.

I write this with additional measures for "how to get there."

Go to the properties of the mouse-> Hardware tab

Select the problematic mouse in the list "mouse HID-compliant".

    Click 'properties '.

    Go to the Details tab

Select the "Device Instance path" in the combobox control.

    A value is displayed, for example: HID\VID_045E & PID_0745 & MI_01 & COL01\8 & 5538EC & 0 & 0000

    Note This value.

Open the registry editor and navigate to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HID\VID_045E & PID_0745 & MI_01 & Col01\8 & 5538ec & 0 & 0000\Device Parameters

The "Device Instance path" is the path of the "reg" key that corresponds to this instance of the mouse.

In the device settings, add the following keys of reg DWORD (32 bit)

    HScrollHighResolutionDisable = 1

    VScrollHighResolutionDisable = 1

    Delta = 120 (decimal)

Remove the radio and put it back (this type of re - initializes the driver). You can choose to restart the PC, too - no matter.

    It should work.

Initially, I didn't put the key "Delta". But because of this, it was scrolling as if I pressed the keys 'Home' and 'End' - that is, all the way to the bottom or the top. After the 'Delta' key, it worked.

  • Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000

I have a MS Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 as indicated on the product and was only bought from Amazon less than a year ago, but I can't find it listed in the list of products supported, so cannot report a fault to Microsoft.

The fault is a sticky scroll wheel.

    Thank you

You have received the wrong website. If the media is free or whatever, there is NO software fix for a bad scroll wheel.

The mouse is still under warranty and you should refer to this website re get it replaced...

  • My Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 has stopped working!

My Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 was working the other day and now won't work.  I tried batteries, turning power on and off, press and hold the bottom of the mouse USB and taking even the USB key.  I have a Windows 7 computer, I don't know how relevant this is, but I thought I should put it here anyway.  ANYONE HELP!

I had the same problem and this is what worked for me:

    remove the USB transceiver

    Open the DEVICE MANAGER

Right click on the MOUSE AND OTHER DEVICES of SCORE and choose SCAN for HARDWARE CHANGES

Click with the right button on USB BUS CONTROLLERS, and then select SCAN for HARDWARE CHANGES

    Insert the USB transceiver

Your computer should detect the mouse and function properly

I have to repeat this process pretty much whenever I start my laptop, but it is only a few steps and not really a huge nusiance.

    Good luck.

  • Mobile Mouse 4000 complete functions missing?

I recently bought a Mobile Mouse 4000 and implement certain key functions, but two of the most useful buttons he recognizes and do not use it with the software!

The mouse wheel has a click function, you can assign, but she ALSO left and right you cannot assign functions!  What is worse they are recognized.

If you open anything with a drop-down list (even the software that allows you to assign the functions of the mouse) and hover your mouse over the drop-down menu, and then click left or right on the MOUSE WHEEL (pushing left or right), it allows you to scroll through the options.

I really want to assign this function.   On my previous mouse I have attributed it to a script vbs to [previous page] and [next] song in iTunes.

    Hey mgmt,.

    If I understand correctly:

You have a Mobile Mouse 4000 you want to assign a function to. Specifically, the left and right wheels scroll function.

You can assign different functions to the function of the click wheel to scroll through the IntelliPoint software.

You are not able to assign something to scroll left and right function, other than to scroll left and right.

    Is this correct?

If you do not see the options for the scroll wheel:

you have chosen the profile of mouse bad for IntelliPoint software.

I'm not aware so as to assign a custom function for the wheels of scrolling left and right function (visual Basic script ie) using IntelliPoint.

  • Mobile Mouse 4000 stopped working with USB 2.0 port, works with 3.0 port.

I just bought the Mobile Mouse 4000, eventually find the necessary drivers, installed, but still does not work, after plugging in all my USB ports so I decided to plug in on my single USB 3.0 port, it works. Nowhere on the site, or on the box does say USB 3.0 required, I went through my device manager and all the usb ports work correctly, even, I went in the power options and turned off the selective USB power option so that they are all on. How to work with normal 2.0 because I would like to save the port 3.0 for my WD external hard drive.

Original title: is the Mobile Mouse 4000 only USB 3.0?

    Hello

    1. What is the brand and model of your computer?

    2. are you able to work with other USB 2.0 devices normal port?

    3. what happens when you try to plug the USB key?

    4. What is the operating system installed on the computer?

I suggest you to connect the mouse to another computer and check with the question.

Method 1: Run the Fixit described in the article:

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/hardware_device_problems/en-us

    Method 2:

As all devices have same also have USB device associated drivers. Appropriate sometimes drivers not detected after initial installation so reinstalling the drivers can fix the problems.

You can check after uninstalling and reinstalling USB drivers if you are able to connect. You can disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:

    1. click on Startand then click Control Panel.

    2. click on system and Maintenance, click System, and then click Device Manager.

Note If Control Panel is in Classic view, double-click System, and then click Device Manager.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

3 in Device Manager, double-click to expand the "USB Bus controllers", right click on the controller host, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".

Check that if at all, there is an exclamation point on the pilot, it suggests problems with the installed driver.

    4. Repeat step 2 to uninstall all items under 'USB Bus controllers'.

Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will automatically reinstall all USB controllers.

If you are still having the same problem then you can check the device USB drivers updated using windows update.

  • The USB receiver for my wireless one mouse overheating and now unusable

Original title: what's happening with my mouse?

My wireless Microsoft 5000 mouse: the usb piece has overheated to the point, you can actually burn your fingers on it and now it won't work.  It's the second mouse what has happened.  I had the same exact type of mouse before and it did the same thing, I thought it was a fluke and I love that mouse, so I bought another.  Of course, now it overheats too.  It is not my computer because I use other usb mice, and they do not overheat.  Is this simply faulty mouse, because I read of others having the same problem.  I spent $80 for 2 of them last year, can it be replaced?
