  Hi all

  My Previews.lrdata folder is 45 GB. On a 500 GB SSD (end 2013 15 "MacBook Pro retina), it is a reasonable piece.

  So I went through and used the menu option "ignore surveys 1:1..." in all the pictures that I do not expect to change again. Somewhat to my surprise, the Previews.lrdata folder did not file size of 1 byte. I used the option "optimize catalog", but that doesn't seem to do anything either.

  I prefer not to empty the cache of the preview while suppressing the Previews.lrdata, regarding the last pictures I've not edited and yet I enjoyed having to previews pre-rendered 1:1.

  I don't expect too much here? Should not be a relationship between throw me 1:1 previews and a reduction in the size of the Previews.lrdata folder?

  Lol if you do this, then Lr re - will make a brief 1:1 for fit view, even if a standard preview was already available (because it would be too small). Certainly, if the 1:1 Preview is already available, it wouldn't need the re - make, but if you are when they expire, it may not be available, and despite this, it takes more time to load/resize a larger and a smaller preview.

  No and no (but in my opinion, the user should be prompted to see if he/she would like to rebuild so size or quality changes).

  In many cases, the difference over having a frame is too small or too large a framework, will be almost (or totally) without consequence. To be honest, I'm surprised that adobe exposed this option to the user, since most users have any idea what optimum setting should be. If I were Adobe, I suppose that Lr/hand-UI would be on the bigger screen and automatically size previews accordingly. Often when I mention this, people point out that the same catalog can also be used on a laptop, review how would be more optimal, and there are other considerations double monitor.., but hey - whatever...

  PS - Lightroom creates different preview (up to) 7 sizes: from 1:1 to little thumb. When he creates a large preview (1:1 or standard), he created all the smaller previews also, in halfening size. It is very fast, and no doubt explains the reason why it will not throw a 1:1 if next (standard) would be more than half it's size (it's actually only create 6 previews in this case: 1:1 through thumb, there is no big standard preview size you specified in this case) (, or if you prefer another way of seeing things: the preview of 1:1 is your largest standard preview).

  If you want to better understand what is stored for previews, you can play with the PreviewExporter plugin I wrote (free) - it allows you to specify at what level (1-7) to preview you want to export, and if you enable verbose logging will provide info on what was available, and what level of preview has been exported.   I have a custom auth routine, which seems to work very well, produced a fine menu tree after authentication. So my link in the menu tree goes to the next page of the app very well (although when it is fully functional, it could also go to pages in other applications in other areas of work).
  
  The problem I have is that the menu links to a page of report/form and report form / seems to work fine, except for the Cancel button. And really, the button is probably done what it should, but I have a redirect to the page 1 which is the menu page, but it ends at 101 which is the login page.
  
  What is happening out there? How can I get the real menu back in place, as expected? There must be a setting that I can put in a cancellation process after to realize this, or some other well-disguised setting. I have no concern that it looks exactly as it did on clicking on the link that went to the / report form.

  There is a session from connection to the menu ID, but there is no postponement of the session ID in the menu option, should it do and maybe you can tell how to include in my link behind the menu? somehow to incorporate the menu session ID in the URL behind my menu option?

  That's the problem. You must specify the id second apex current in the links, otherwise it will create new session.

  I don't know how you have created the menu. However you can get the current session by using the variable binding APP_SESSION .

  You can keep the catalogue and folder previews.lrdata with pictures on an external drive and use them in both directions between the two computers.

  Since July of this year, when I try to back up my computer to HP Envy 17 laptop I get a pop-up window asking if I want to allow the following program to make changes to my computer.  The program is: Microsoft Windows Backup/Windows Hardware Driver verification / valid from 07/12/2009 to 03/07/2011.  Because the validation is obviously outdated, I consider the program run out of appropriate verification, but I can't back up my computer without the program.

  Hewlett-Packard said the problem probably occurs because the computer was missing an update of windows.  Updates happen automatically without my intervention.  I bought the new computer, directly from HP in the month of August, 2011 (after the date of validation of program pop up) with Windows 7 Ultimate installed and had no problem backup of my files to a CD until July of this year.  I believe that the problem may be the result of a rather than a missed update windows update.  What should I do so that I can make a routine (monthly) BACK to the top without having to allow a program that is not properly validated?

  At this point, the problem of slower Internet connection and loading is probably resolved.  I wanted to try the simpler remedy without doing unnecessary downloads.  Fortunately, there is a Windows update that created a restore point the day before the problem occurred.  I restored the system to this date, and the problem disappeared...   It is not necessary to uninstall your current version first. In fact, it would probably be a good idea to leave it installed until you are certain you have everything works the way that you want with the new facility. When you install Lightroom CC 2015 it will prompt you to allow him to create a new copy of your catalog. You should allow this to happen. Then the new Lightroom should pick up right where you left it. Once you are sure that everything has been installed correctly and you no longer need the old version you can then uninstall it. Both versions are completely independent.

  According to the request, I understand that when you export images from Lightroom it shows only the crops, is not editing.

  It is specific to a single image or all images in the catalog?

  Cool!  Helps when you have the old appliance with all data on it.

  Then connect the old device to the computer with the USB cable and launch DM.  Once DM appears, click device, and then select devices of switching in the menu.  It shows your old device and PIN, and then ask if you want to back up data and settings, applications 3 rd Party or both.  Choose both.  It will then save and prepare to pass all that data, settings, applications, etc. for the new device.  When he's ready, it prompts you to connect the new device.  Disconnect an old and new.  DM will recognize the new then prompts you to continue.  From there, it takes care of everything on your new device.  Voila!   Piece of cake.

  You have taken the necessary precautions by backing up the device.  Once the switch is made, simply plug your SIM cards and media and you're good to go!
