Should I buy Office 2010?

do I need to buy office 2010 - had Office on old computer crashed

Original title: understand the difference between windows 7 and Office - AT & t killed the hard drive on my old laptop - it has windows 7 - receive notice on windows desktop - what is the difference? do I need to buy the Office?

Microsoft Office has never been included in any version of Windows. It is a salary for an add-on. If you have the instillation of disc for your old Office program and there it version 2003 or later, it will work on Windows 7.

For the best help, seek advice from experts of the Office.

    Important
Phone numbers of activation do not appear in this article, because there are a lot of numbers, and the correct number for you depends on several factors. Microsoft software can be obtained under various licenses, including individual retail licenses, original (OEM) licenses, and volume licenses OEM. Phone numbers vary by product license and country/region. In step 2 of the Activation Wizard, use the phone number provided to contact the Microsoft Activation Center.

Telephone activation may take longer than activation through the Internet. You should be at your computer when you call, and you should have your software product key.

  • User account deleted when I uninstalled Office 2010 Beta, how do I get it back?

    Details:

    • I am using Windows XP Pro SP3
    • I had already installed MS Office 2010 Beta. When I went to use it recently, I learned the period Beta was over and I was given two options: 1) buy Office 2010 or 2) uninstall. I chose to uninstall. When I restarted the computer after uninstalling, my user account has been deleted.
    • Fortunately, I had an another user account with administrative access, but it is never/rarely used, so when I opened this account is like watching a new computer desk. I see again all my files on the C drive of the other account, but they are all read only files.
    • I restarted the computer in safe mode at a given time, with networking and could see my old user account. Now I'm trying to find a way to recover permanently.
    • Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

    Hello

It could be that the user account registry key is deleted which is instructed to show the user account name in the login screen. I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below.

    Step 1:

I suggest to do a restore of the system on the computer and check if you are able to see the user account.

Unfortunately, you need windows 7 or higher to run.

  • I want to upgrade my pc from win xp to win 8 which version should I buy for my office?

I am a practitioner of the income tax. I have a small office with 2-3 PCs in a local network. I installed win XP in there. Now, I want to upgrade to win 8. What version of win 8 should I buy? Do I have to renew the license of win 8 each year?

    Hi Marc,

You will be able to create a LAN (Local Area Network) connection on the computer of Windows 8. You can read the articles for more information:

  • I don't have audio on my computer. I had until I tried an Office 2010 Trial Version, (did not buy it - had 60 days)

I had audio on my computer.  I was able to listen to the news online, my voicemail WAV files, etc. This Friday, I tried a trial version of Office 2010 and now I don't have one any audio on my computer. I tried to get support, but he said that because it was a trial version that he could not help me.  So now, I have to put audio on this computer.

    Hi Samantha,

Office 2010 has nothing to do with the sound on your computer! Check if you get the sound default value for pc, I mean during the start or stop, you can check also from start-> settings-> Control Panel-> Sound.

If you get no sound check for the audio drivers installed correctly start-> settings-> Control Panel-> system-> hardware-> device-> check management no yellow exclamation under his. If Yes, you will need to re - install the drivers for your sound card.

You do a right click any audio file and try open with windows media player.

Check your speakers if its not working properly.

    I hope this helps.

  • What should I do to resolve the error 0x8007007B when you try to activate Microsoft Office 2010 Pro?

The notification indicates if I have access to the internet, Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 will be activated automatically, but the problem is it does not and I always get the notice for about 2-3 months now.  How can I solve this problem? (error code: 0x8007007B)

Is this a copy of Office Professional Plus 2010 volume license? If so, need KMS activation. That means that guests are connected to the corporate network to enable it.

  • I want to upgrade my existing to Office 2010 computer. Should I remove the old version of windows before installing Office 2010?

I have to remove the old version or simply insert into Office 2010 DVD in my computer

You can do it in place upgrade older versions of Office, such as Office 2007, 2003, XP and 2000 to Office 2010. Therefore, there is no need to remove your current version.

  • Laptop HP G62-451SA: cannot read the label for Office 2010 product key as it dissipated over time

Obliged to restore settings after a total crash.

Spent the whole day as recommended by HP, including using my recovery disk that has failed.

Tried to open Microsoft Office 2010 as usual, but said to give the product key to activate it.  Mine is on a sticker on the bottom of my laptop.  Unfortunately it is place to be where it is that some of the numbers have disappeared over time.  Now I can read only the last 15 digits.

Ages worn on Microsoft support pages and basically they said that the onus to solve this problem since I legally paid for it when buying their product to HP.

I'll lose more than a year of work, if I can't get this sort.

    Thank you.

The label on the bottom of your laptop is not for the office. It's your Windows license key. It should say Windows 7 Home Premium above the numbers.

Most of the HP machines come with a trial of office unless order you it with more full Office and pay extra. The trial usually actually works after the period 60 day trial - unless you do a recovery. After a recovery it will require you to buy a license key to use.

  • Windows XP Installer does not not for updates or MS Office 2010. Error says Safe Mode, but I'm not in it.

Windows XP Installer doesn't work is not for the automatic updates or MS Office 2010. Error says Safe Mode, but my machine is not in Mode without failure.

When I try to run MS Office 2010, it starts a dialog box "preparing to install...." "even if I had used it for a few years. In the end, it fails and tells me whether I'm in Mode safe or I need to reinstall Windows Installer, I have done several times.

I can automatically download updates and they seem to be installed, but all fail at the end.

Any ideas on how to address this problem? Yes, I know that it is probably recommended to buy a new PC, but I need this machine operate fully for the next months. Then by reloading the operating system does not, either. He told me that my XP disc is the wrong version.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

  • MS Office... hard drive crashed, discs lost... How to make MS Office 2010 back upward and running?

I bought a copy of MS Office 2010 as an employee federal under a special program, directly from Ms.  Recently I'm retired and in the process of my drive hard is no longer operational.  I reload windows 7 on new hard drive.  I lost most of my installed programs, the recorded files were on the backup drive.  Now I need to put MS Office back up and running, but can't seem to find the discs all over all my My packed boxes.  Is it possible to return to MS and get another copy or make a download of MS Office 2010.  Or should I just go buy another version?  I plan move from MS to Apple, just because of all the problems that I had to get the backup and running programs.  The games were a total loss and is not the worst of it, my SW work was a pain in the neck.  Please help if you can.

You can download a backup copy of Office 2010, if you have your product key:

  • How can I tell what version of Office 2010 BITS, I have IF...

    Hello
How to find which version of BITS of Office 2010 that I have because he came on this computer purchased, but I have not actually paid to download the OFFICE 2010 program?  When I clicked on Office 2010, need me a screen where I can buy it if I want to, but I don't get to run the program.

Secondly, I have Office Starter 2010, which I am able to use already.  My real concern is BIT version of update of security for Microsoft Filter Pack 2.0 (KB2553501) to install.  Do the 32-bit or 64-Bit edition?  My Windows 7 update process offers the 32-BIT version, but I don't know what version of BITS is my Office 2010.

Thirdly, my Office Word Starter 2010 and Office Excel Starter 2010 are Version 14.0.6129.5000 (32 bit).  I should just assume that the full Office 2010 program I pre-installed for Purachasing ONLY is a 32-BIT version?

    dragondaveWR

32 and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Office can exist on the same installation of Windows. So if you have Office Starter 2010 32 bit installed, its more than likely other applications are also 32-bit.

To determine the architecture of office you have installed.

Open one of the Microsoft Office 2010 applications installed on your system.

I have a macbook pro 15 "model 9.1 4 GB of memory and want to extend to 8 which is the model of memory should I buy for my fastest machine, I have for several years.

    See:

Get only the memory of a place as above, since Macs are picky about the memory. Another place is crucial.

I have a Macbook Pro 2014 and I use OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite).  I have an older version of Office (2008) and you want to upgrade.  But I saw a lot of bad reviews of the version of 2016.  Should I buy the 2011 version or the version of 2016?  I mainly use Word and Excel sometimes.

Initially, there are problems with Office for Mac 2016 and El Capitan, but those who seem to be resolved.

I myself would get 2016 later if I wanted an Office for Mac.

    Hello

No, this isn't the Office product key, it is the Windows product key. Your machine has preinstalled TRIAL version. If you want to continue using it you have to buy the electronic identity card. I really hate this practice from suppliers and ALWAYS uninstall the trial version on my computers. Please visit the following link to buy the product key.

    http://Office.Microsoft.com/en-us/buy/product-key-card-FX101850744.aspx

You can pay a lot cheaper for the Home & Student version and much cheaper, with a student ID card.
