Upgrade Windows 7 messed up my internet connection.

Windows 7 upgrade gives me very slow internet connection speed and internet connection problems. When I watch netflix there now when it took 15 seconds before the buffer for 20 minutes. As well, I am constantly the message Internet Explore cannot connect to which, though even there is no connection problem. REALLY slow. Windows 7 sucks so far. Help, please.

  • Ethernet cable to connect my windows laptop 7 to the internet. connection is very bad. It works but only for 30 minutes max.

My internet does not work correctly. I use an ethernet cable to connect my laptop (using windows 7) to the internet. However the connection is very bad. Sometimes it works but only for 30 minutes max, and other times it does not at all, connect saying that the cable is disconnected. I tried 3 different cables to 2 different ports, then maybe the problem comes from my laptop. It connects to the wifi networks fine but not with the cable. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be the problem and how can I solve this problem?

  • Apps for download on store window due to a slow internet connection of microsoft servrs

I just bought a new laptop HP Pavilion Touch Smart 11-e11Onr with little window 8.1 64.   I was in the store window Thursday and download a game, but on Friday, when I try to load another application, it will not download.  I get an error message "cannot complete your purchase due to the slow internet connect, please try again on another connection.   Problem is that my Comcast Modem works fine and my Internet speed is fast.   I went back to Office Max on this problem and they did a speed test on my end, which proved very much, but when they did speed test on the side of Microsoft, that's where the problem is... their connection to the server is too slow.   The shop window is not available since Friday.  When they get this fix so that I can down load more of the store.   My app store Google on my phone works much better than this!

Can someone please check on both Microsoft and find out what's going on?

Don't be so quick to deny that the problem I got exactly the same problem as with Time Warner, and I had their techs here at least 15 times. Nothing was found or not corrected until they sent a monitoring on the ground and when he saw that I was running, he told me that they bear not Internet Explorer 9 still and their link didn't work correctly with Windows 8. Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

  • Windows doesn't have an Internet connection, but I can connect other OS and WiFi. How can I fix it?

I have no idea what happened, but suddenly, unable to connect to the Internet (worked in the morning, did not work after a reboot in the afternoon.)

I have a wireless router for the rest of the House, but my main PC is wired directly.

When I launch my browser (Firefox, Chrome, IE, no matter) and try to go back a page, I get "DNS does not ' after a long break.

Other computers connect via WiFi very well, like Linux on the same PC (which I use this type). So it is clearly NOT a hardware problem.
    .

Windows, I can access my router, and the router can ping (easily) 'www.microsoft.com' without problem, but if I try to 'ping www.microsoft.com' from the command line, I get nothing.

I tried to do a restore of the system since the day before, but that didn't fix it. Then I did a full restore of my drive C: from a backup made the day before, and who has not set it is that everything must have reset back when he worked last. (???)

So I'm puzzled. I prefer not to do a "repair Windows" of the DVD because it resets everything and creates a real mess. And if a full restore of backup does not work, a repair will probably not be.

I have scanned for viruses and found nothing, but this does not necessarily mean something. I also tried to boot in ' Safe Mode with networking ' and WHO doesn't either. (???)

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? THX.

  • Upgrade of Vista SP2-loss of internet connection

I upgraded a VISTA 64 laptop computer to SP2 yesterday evening.  He seems to have retained my 802.11n network configuration, but since the upgrade will connect only locally, not to the internet via the wireless connection.  (It is not a problem with my network or modem, as another VISTA laptop wireless and other devices will continue to work properly.)  The ethernet connection works fine. I tried:

    • disable the firewall (Norton)
    • Diagnose and repair
    • confirmed connection to the router
    • newspapers of router checked-only MAC address is not blocked
    • updated the Intel 4965AGN driver to the latest version

Any suggestions?  I am reluctant to completely recede SP2 unless absolutely necessary.

    lopburi3,

This looks exactly like my question.  While I do not understand what has happened, I found a solution. Try this:

    • Log into your router and check what IP address is assigned to the computer that is not connecting.  If there is no assignment yet, give it a static address.
    • Go into your wireless connection TCP/IP properties and enter the manual configuration information: IP address assigned, the subnet mask and the router (default gateway) address.

For me, allowed me to connect through Internet.

    Edit:
as a first step, I had to re - enter the manual configuration after each reboot, and my router would not correctly identify the MAC address of my laptop (he appeared as 00:00:00:00:00:00).  After a couple more re - start last night, the computer retains the settings, so I could connect without having to re-enter the configuration, if the router is not yet MAC address list.

I've then updated the firmware on my router last night.  (D-Link DIR-655)  Now, after another reboot, everything seems to work properly, with the portable duly identified in the router. There was clearly a problem with the network adapter and the router communicates correctly. brodyboy

  • Upgrade Windows 10 messed my backup

Recently, I tried the upgrade to Windows 7 home premium and was struggling to access my Outlook .pst files. I started Windows 7 and most of the things were back but when I tried to decipher some files with PGP, my key ring seem to be empty.

When I tried to retrieve it from backup, Backup and Restore said "backup is not configured for this computer."

Well until I tried the upgrade, I had configured diligently full backup on a newly installed hard drive dedicated to this purpose. I used it to restore the system several times before so I know it was working fine. My PC was essentially to the bulletproof.

When I tried to turn the backup on again after the upgrade, it turned off, I get this error message:

The task image is corrupt or has been tampered with. (0 x 80041321). I am very angry over there.

    Hello

From your description, it would cause some files corrupted; I suggest you try the following steps to check how it works:

    1. generally, Scheduler task task image is located in:

C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsBackup, if it please take a backup of the WindowsBackup file and then delete it, then see if the problem occurs.

    2 update the task "User_Feed_Synchronization" :

Right-click "Command Prompt" and select the "run as Administrator" option.

In the command window, type the following command.

    msfeedssync disable

    msfeedssync enable

Similar thread on error 0 x 80041321 has been discussed earlier. See here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-update/system-backup-error-0x80041321/ea7a708b-1c30-4b66-ae09-023fe40a849f?page=1

  • Windows 8 I lose the internet connection after waking from sleep mode

My wife has a new laptop from Toshiba with Windows 8. When he wakes from sleep mode, it detects all wireless signals. If it restarts the computer, it detects our own wireless, as well as all the neighbors signal. Is there a simple way to correct this trend? She dislikes having to reboot the computer whenever she wants to use it.

Very interesting what's happening on a new machine. Are you sure the original wireless network card driver has not been updated (i.e. through Windows Update or its equivalent at Toshiba?)

I guess that the wireless network card driver doesn't handle well "message sent" by the system when it changes the power state change leading to a 'dormant' device (in this case the WiFi network) on the revival of the fashion Watch (same problem with the Hibernate?).

Not knowing your model Toshiba, or wireless network card let me suggest you try the following if options exist for 1 # *:

    1. Go to the section of the network adapters and Device Manager. Right-click your wireless card, and select Properties. Go to the power management tab, uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device and check allow this device to wake the computer , and then save your changes
    2. Go to the control panel and Power Options to change the parameters of the plan (for the selected power Plan), and then select change advanced power settings / wireless adapter / power save Mode / connected and select value is A maximum Performance otherwise affect this value

    * Not sure about my translation of terms/options used above - I am not in an American version

If the above does not help I'd you make investigations with Toshiba on this issue as the owner of a new machine, you're probably eligible for a level of support.

+ Feel free to bring your network card and Toshiba models - this helps in search of possible measures and troubleshooting. And it could help other people if solve you the problem sooner or later...

    Hope this helps

    See you soon

  • Windows 7 - updated interfere with anti-virus and Internet connection

Windows updates frequently stop my internet connection. It's using windows7 with a wireless router and a cable modem broadband. Updates have also stopped my work (Norton) security protection. What can I do to stop what is happening or is it Microsoft?

    Hello

    1. when exactly it happens? After you install a particular update?
    2. this happens whenever you install a windows update?
    3. the updates you are trying to install? http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed

Step 1: You can try to install the windows updates in the clean boot state and check what is happening.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

Try the steps in step 1 in the article to put your computer in clean boot mode.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Step 2: Also, look for error messages in the event viewer. If you find error messages after return the exact error message so that we can help you better.

Measures to check the application event log:
    a. click Start.
    (b) in the search box type eventvwr.msc , and then on enter.
    c. now, click Application in the event viewer (local).
    d. now, looking for event log on the right side of the event viewer window.
