Should I delete previous service packs after installing the most recent?

After download/install updates for Microsoft/Windows - my? : If upgrading a 'Srvc Pk"or" Version # "to a more grand/more recent/better"Srvc Pk"or" Version # "- then when you do, you are then go bk @ some point and UNinstall the"Add/Remove"in Control Panel site - otherwise use it now? By ex - I had Windows XP Srvc Pk 1, had security and other updates (usually Tuesday); have Srvc Pk 3 (had tween #2) - each having security and other updates I have downloaded and installed; so can I now go and clear up clutter and space and delete those associated with older Versions "Pks / ' things - OR are there - things in these updates for the older"Pks/Versions"that are needed when using newer Versions" Pks / "things now? Sorry so long! Thank you very much for the help!
