  I'm a JavaScript novice writer and need help a warning window that meets the programming user selection form a menu drop-down.

  If the user selects any option except the default choice (which is just an empty space), I want an alert is displayed.  If the user is moving through this area without changing the default value, nothing should happen.

  I have a script attached to the "blur" event for the dropdown menu, but it appears each time you tab in this area, of course.  I don't know how to tell him to display the alert if and only if the user has changed the selection.

  If it is certainly a big difference, I think that for most all of this is taken up by folders and subfolders which are mainly empty place holders. Have you looked at the folder with Windows Explorer? A freeware application that can help is WizTree, it provides both a performance graphics and text of what's on your hard drive (or part of it). • Remove/heal spot LR 5 tool does not show the selected area

  A week back, I installed LR 5 on my MBP 15 inch retina. My laptop has a great hardware to run LR5. The problem I encountered was with the remove spot/heal tool. It goes as below.

  I selected the Spot removal tool and set the mode to HEAL and then selected a box on my image. In many tutorials, I have seen that the selected area appears as a circle with white border with an arrow pointing to another circle. But in my case, its invisible all. Same problem happened when I selected CLONE mode. I am attaching a video to illustrate the issue.

  Could someone help me understand what is happening? I'm new to LR, but I like the software and want to invest time and money in it. However, these questions, I am little panic and do not know if this software is value of these investments.

  I have a case in which I have 4 menu drop down and a button to continue, I want to make sure that a user cannot continue until the choice is made on all or at least some of the drop-down list. How can I do that.

  Not get stuck at all!  the button is "disabled" because it is what it is made also.

  Suppose that a user click on "New folder" and immediately clicks on "Show détail Popup" button prior to fill all the required fields in the records.
  What is happening is that a box of exception will be shown on the screen, asking the user to fill in the mandatory fields.
  However, it IS NOT stop the detail popup to display on the screen as well as the exception.
  Of course, I can set the property of the button to avoid the user to click on the Popup of detail, but sometimes it's not so easy, and I would have preferred a more general solution.

  I am creating an application where in the pane on the left, there is a tree Menu and in the right pane, I have a few buttons. In view of the options in the left pane, I should be able to add more buttons and or the text to the right pane.
  
  How to achieve this? If you guys have any example code, please post or suggest ways to accomplish.

  It seems that you declare leftPane, rightPane and different main_Frame and have too much static and final elements. Look at the code below. I put GridBagLayout to the framework for a better look.

  I don't know what you mean when you say that you only want to right panel and you want to add. Also, I think you'd be better off using CardLayout to right panel as stated jduprez

  Does anyone know how to make a field optional mandatory change based on a selection made in a drop down list?

  For example, I have a combo that has option 1-3, and I have a hidden field that is optional. When option 3 is chosen the hidden field is visible, but I also want to be required before a the form submission is possible.

  You can place this code in your event out of you in the drop-down list... Just change TextField1 your domain name and make sure that the language is set to JavaScript:

  There are several ways why something can be hidden by default when the page loads:

  1 style = "" view: no ' on the "..." Attributes"setting of the element/label
  2 - a style definition on the page that uses the ID of the element or the label of the values as the selector (for example: #P1_ITEM1 {.. style...})
  3 - javascript, which is actually what does your code

  Without being able to see your page, it is difficult to think that he can be (and there may be other options as well). Is it likely to be a STYLE tag somewhere on your page?

  What I have.

  I was the shape of the 3 page design. On the first page, there are a number of options by selecting 1 or all 4 of the checkboxes the user can select.

  If a user selects a check box next to 2 specific options (out of many), I have a text box that must serve as justification.

  What I want to do is;

  If a user selects a checkboxes next to 1 or both of 2 specific options, I want the text box to become a required field.
