Shrink a table and space recovery

Windows 2008 Server - Oracle 11g 11.0.2

I had a problem with a table with more than 30 million lines.
I discovered that a routine created unnecessary lines inside this table.
The owner of the application sets the routine and I deleted more than 23 million rows in the table.

To reclaim the space in the table, I activated the option of moving line.
And then I used the command space shrink.

I checked in EM and I saw that the table using 10.3 Gbs, now it is using only 2.2 GB.

In EM, this new free space, more than 8 GB, acknowledged in tablespace and datafile.
Segment Advisor did not recognize the new free space yet, so the recommendation to reduce is stil there.
And I want to resize the data file.

I used EM to resize the data from 12 GB to 5 GB file.
I see in MS that only 2.5 Gbs are used in this data file.
But I got the error ORA-03297, file contains data used beyond the requested value of resizing.

What can I do in order to resize the data file?

Thanks in advance,
Ed

There is a map of tablespace option in MS where you can hover over the segments towards the end of the data file to find out what they are, then you can use one of the many methods to move them from the road.

Administration--> tablespaces--> click on tablespace--> menu actions drop-down menu to display the contents of the Tablespace--> expand scope map

May take a while to process.

  • Tables and spaces in Dreamweaver

    Hello world.

    I'm new to these forums and new to Dreamweaver as well. I am long tech IT which is now called upon to do a bit of Web design. I have a bit of the base down, but I learned about the cover Page (the little I know) and I don't have a lot of knowledge work of DW, but I learn. Here's what I got.

    I created a page that is very basic. There is a table at the top of the banner of the site. On the side, there is a table that contains the graphics that are essentially the navigation links. Now, I created this content not knowing that I had to adapt to about 8 pages on a site. Basically, I want to create another table next to the navigation chart. The problem is that when I create the table, he ends up is inserted below the table I want, not next to him. I work in design mode and I tried "Layout Mode" and in easy Mode. Why can't insert a new table in the space next to the existing one. Also, if I create a new table with a cell for the menu and a cell for content, then the menu retains is moved to the bottom of the page when I add content. To do this I use a table in a table. How can I justify a table that exists in a cell so that it is flush with the surface of the cell and is not just hang out in the Middle? I not the menu bar to flush the banner at the top, no matter what. Is there a way to do this?

    I am sure that these are pretty simple questions. Can someone give me a hand with this?

    Thank you
    Chris

    Then divide the existing table in 2 columns or add another column to
    which already ends.

    Select itcell at the bottom of the Dreamweaver menu

    Tbales do not work like this, usually they stack above the other.
    You can put side by side using some css 'float' one side of
    the other, but that may be a little out of your depth at the moment but if
    you want to try it you can give your table a "id".

    Then use the css

    {#rightTable}
    float: left;
    }

    In addition, if

    In this senario (NEST) to insert another table in the right cell and put
    your content in it. Isolate the content of your page by placing
    in its own container will potentially stop other page elements
    which affect it.

    I use

    Select it

    cell in the table. You can do this via the html code
    tags that are found along the lower part of the design of Draemweaver discover then go

    properties and choose 'top' of the 'green' on the menu drop down.

    For some reason, the default is to align a table in the middle of
    anothercell. Why I don't have a clue... its stupid if you ask me.

  • Shrink the table, rebuild the index?

    I need to reduce some very large tables after the removal of lines and I want to validate the script to run. I was thinking something like this:
    run_deleting_process;
    change the movement line of table my_tableI enable;
    ALTER table my_table retractable space WATERFALL;
    change the movement line of table my_tableI disable;
    I need to rebuild the index after that?, or if I rebuild the markings, can I delete clause CASCADE of the command? It is recommended to run utltrp.sql after shrink the table?, maybe some dependent object needs to be recompiled after the reduction of a table?
    The database version is 11.1.0.7 and documentation does not specify that the index rebuild is required, but I realized it is a desition normall when the narrowing of the tables.
    Thank you

    No there is no rebuild the index after shrinkage. And if you use "cascade", your index will be supported. You do very well.

  • issue with tables and clusters

    Hello

    Another issue with the tables and clusters. I have three engines thatI move on XYZ and then measure something. I need to draw on the 3D, the result of the measurement. How to draw real XYZ and not the index of the data table positions? (I can't actully how to build the matrices 2D forX, Y and Z). In the figures, I give an example of what I need.

    Concerning

    You have to break the data out of the cluster and to present them to the graph 3d to a separate bays for X, Y, Z and W where 'W' is your values measured at the locations described by X, Y, Z.

    This thread shows how trace readings in space 3. The following image shows the data that the original author wanted to draw.

  • How to remove empty entries in a table and replace them with the values of the instance?

    I have a table with values and spaces elements. I want to organize items such as table contains only values eliminating the empty spaces and re-organize the table with the values of cotimuous.  I use a bollean table to populate the items, so the bolleans to false fill the empty I don't want spaces. How can I program the above operation?

    Thank you

    Thank you for your solution, but I just found an easier way. INDEXING CONDITIONAL!. How I miss that. in any case, thanks...

  • Problem of sorting of tables and... Using the functionality of the case

    OK, so im do this bit of code that solves the linear equations of 3 x 3, I have most of the code actually lack just 2 small pieces for value of ascetics, garlic try to describe them as detailed as I can, no matter what type of advice or advice with any of them would be greatly appreciated

    Some details of the program:

    Equation MUST be entered in a string and not must (and probably should) be able to do some difficult fixing

    It will be limited to the +'s and-'s signs

    Problem 1.

    I don't really know how to 'sort' my equation according to their variables, example:

    User input: - 2 y + 1 * x z - 1 = 2

    I can make it look like: - 2 y + z - 1 x 1 = 2

    I want what it looks like: 1 x-2 y - 1 z = 2

    I can handle sort the equation, IF I knew the order the user will add variables, the only thing that comes to mind is turning them into a table and make a case for each (x, y, z - x, z, y - etc.) and by using some kind of process of elimination to choose the table 'longer or shorter', I really haven't got much if this because it seems like a stupid idea , but it's the only thing it comes to my mind.

    Problem 2.

    So as im fixing the spaces between characters, at least, I find a '10', I don't want one "1 0", very roughly, I managed to work around this problem by using a "find and replace String", but I'm having trouble making a "case" for her, as in, I can't understand the entry of 'right' to a string of cases. " example:

    User input: 1 x-2 y - 1 z = 12

    The result inside the box is correct and resembles a '12', but as I don't know the correct entry, obviously my default case is empty, and it passes through, so the result on the outside is a '1 2 '.

    Any link for someone who fixed a similar problem or guides would be great, I'd also like to announce that 3 weeks ago, I've not even knew what was "LabVIEW", if you can 'dumb down' a little explanation would be greatly appreciated.

    You can try to use php code Analyzer to help analyze. The joint was a quickly hacked together solution that makes several assumptions (a big one being that the entry is correct and equal to is the last thing). This isn't really a complete solution.

    Sorry I didn't have the time to comment on it. If it seems odd, I was using money orders that got lost, when I recorded it for the previous version.

  • Left join of the two tables and multiple values into a single value separated by commas

    Hello

    I have following tables with their structures and their data as below.

    INSERT INTO BetMaster (Curepress, type, lastpcirim) VALUES ('A24', '45 M 8', 15);

    INSERT INTO BetMaster (Curepress, type, lastpcirim) VALUES ('A25', 42 16', 15);

    INSERT INTO BetMaster (Curepress, type, lastpcirim) VALUES ("A34", "45MCH", 16);

    These two tables have left join as

    BETMASTER. CUREPRESS = substr (BETINFO. CURRENTPRESS, 1, 3)

    now I want to have the data in the two tables with fields Curepress, Lastpcirim, typeidcontainer.

    Also something like

    Make a group of typeidcontainer if this value is greater than 1 by press separated the values of semicolon (;)

    So, for example above, we should be given as

    A24 PMC 15; PENSKY-MARTENS

    A25 15 PMC

    A26 15 PMC

    A27 16 (NULL)

    A28 16 (NULL)

    A30 15 (NULL)

    A31 16 (NULL)

    A32 16 BFC2-V; V BFC3

    A33 16 (NULL)

    A34 16 (NULL)

    How could do?

    My current request is as

    Select distinct Curepress, lastpcirim, typeidcontainer

    BETMASTER STD left join INF BETINFO

    on the trim (STD. CUREPRESS) = substr (trim (INF. CURRENTPRESS), 1, 3)

    but I am unable to get the values separated by commas.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Mahesh.

    Hi, Mahesh,

    If you want to only 1 row of output for each distinct combination of currentpress and lastpcirim?  This sounds like a job for GROUP BY.

    And you want the row to contain a list of all different typidcontainers-delimited?  This sounds like a job for the aggregate LISTAGG function.

    WITH joined_data AS

    (

    SELECT DISTINCT

    MST.curepress, mst.lastpcirim, inf.typeidcontainer

    OF betmaster STD

    LEFT JOIN betinfo ON TRIM (mst.curepress) inf = SUBSTR (TRIM (inf.currentpress)

    1

    3

    )

    )

    SELECT curepress, lastpcirim

    LISTAGG (typeidcontainer, ',')

    THE Group (ORDER BY typeidcontainer) AS container_list

    OF joined_data

    Curepress GROUP, lastpcirim

    ;

    Unfortunately, you can't say LISTAGG (DISTINCT ...), so you should always get the separate containers how you already are.  (Note that the subquery is just what you posted).

    Thanks for posting the CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements; It is very useful.  Don't forget to tell what version of Oracle you are using.  LISTAGG was new in Oracle 11.2.

    Why not add CHECK constraints (and perhaps triggers) to your tables, so that curepress and currentpress are not stored with the head or trailing spaces?  Then you wouldn't need to use the PAD in queries like this, and your code would be simpler and more effective.

  • New tables and indexes created do not appear in the view dba_segments

    Hi all

    I created 3 tables and indexes, but these items do not appear in dba_segments views. Is this a normal behavior? Previously, with dictionary managed tablespace, I can specify the least possible to create, at the table/index is created. But I don't know how works the locally managed tablespace. Please do advice. Thank you much in advance.

    I am using Oracle 11 g R2 (11.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows (x 64), running on Windows 7.

    To reproduce this problem, I created the tablespaces as follows:

    CREATE TABLESPACE CUST_DATA
    DATAFILE ' d:\app\asus\oradata\orcl11gr2\CUST_DATA01. DBF' SIZE 512K
    AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT MAXSIZE 2000 K 256K
    MANAGEMENT UNIFORM LOCAL 256K SIZE MEASURE
    SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO;

    CREATE TABLESPACE CUST_INDX
    DATAFILE ' d:\app\asus\oradata\orcl11gr2\CUST_INDX. DBF' SIZE 256K
    AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT MAXSIZE 2000 K 128K
    MANAGEMENT UNIFORM LOCAL 128K SIZE MEASURE
    SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO;

    CREATE TABLE CUSTOMER_MASTER (CUST_ID VARCHAR2 (10))
    CUST_NAME VARCHAR2 (30),
    E-MAIL VARCHAR2 (30),
    DATE OF BIRTH,
    ADD_TYPE CHAR (2) CONSTRAINT CK_ADD_TYPE CHECK (ADD_TYPE ("B1", "B2", "H1", "H2")),
    CRE_USER VARCHAR2 (5) DEFAULT USER,.
    CRE_TIME TIMESTAMP (3) DEFAULT SYSTIMESTAMP.
    MOD_USER VARCHAR2 (5).
    MOD_TIME TIMESTAMP (3),
    CONSTRAINT PK_CUSTOMER_MASTER PRIMARY KEY (CUST_ID) USING INDEX TABLESPACE CUST_INDX)
    TABLESPACE CUST_DATA;

    SQL > SELECT TABLE_NAME, nom_tablespace
    USER_TABLES 2
    3 WHERE TABLE_NAME LIKE '% CUST. "

    TABLE_NAME, TABLESPACE_NAME
    ------------------------------ ------------------------------
    CUSTOMER_MASTER CUST_DATA

    SQL > SELECT INDEX_NAME, nom_tablespace
    2 FROM USER_INDEXES
    3 WHERE TABLE_NAME LIKE '% CUST. "

    INDEX_NAME TABLESPACE_NAME

    PK_CUSTOMER_MASTER CUST_INDX

    SQL > SELECT nom_segment, SEGMENT_TYPE, nom_tablespace, BYTES
    2 FROM WHERE USER_SEGMENTS;

    no selected line

    An extension to what Sybrand said:

    There is a parameter called differed_segment_creation, who runs the behavior.

    If it is set to TRUE (the default), no segments will be allocated until you fill your table / index.

    Try to insert a row. You will see your table and index in dba_segments.

  • Size of the data in a table and the size of the table

    I am trying to determine the size of the data in a table and also the overall table size. I use the following query:

    SELECT BOTTOM (a.owner) as owner,
    LOWER (a.table_name) AS table_name,
    a.tablespace_name,
    a.Num_Rows,
    ROUND ((a.blocks * 8 / 1024)) AS size_mb,
    a.Blocks,
    a.Blocks * 8 Blocks_Kilo_Byte.
    a.PCT_FREE,
    a.compression,
    a.Logging,
    b.bytes / 1024 / 1024
    From all_tables a, dba_segments b
    WHERE the a.owner AS SUPERIOR ("USER_TEST")
    AND a.table_name = "X_TEST_TABLE."
    AND b.segment_name = a.table_name
    AND b.owner = a.owner
    ORDER BY 1, 2;

    Is this the right way to go about finding the size of the data in a table? If this isn't the case, please give your suggestions.

    BTW, this in a 10g version.

    You probably want to use the DBMS_SPACE package. In particular, the procedures SPACE_USAGE and UNUSED_SPACE to get an accurate account of the use of space in a table. Your application may give you a relatively accurate estimate if the optimizer on your table's statistics are reasonably accurate estimates. But there is no guarantee that the optimizer statistics are accurate.

    If you want just an approximate answer and you're comfortable that your statistics are accurate, this query may be close enough. If you want a specific response, however, use the DBMS_SPACE package.

  • Oracle 11g R2, CREATE THE TABLE and QUOTAS

    Hi all
    I need some insight on a strange behavior, that I discovered in Oracle 11 g 2. Don't know if I'm missing something or if I just discovered a security issue with Oracle.

    Oracle Version: 11.2.0.1.0

    The problem is with the CREATE TABLE and the QUOTA on the specific tablespace privilege.

    Please, try this on your system (if you have some free time and care to confirm the "bug").

    Create a user, grant privileges than two, CREATE THE SESSION and CREATE TABLE.

    Grant NO quota on any tablespace.

    Try to create a table on any tablespace (except SYSTEM) and everybody say if it worked or not.

    The oracle documentation provides the following:

    To create a relational table in your own schema, you must have the CREATE TABLE system privilege. To create a table in the schema of another user, you must have the CREATE ANY TABLE system privilege. In addition, the owner of the schema containing the table must have a quota of space on the tablespace contains the table or the UNLIMITED TABLESPACE system privilege.

    [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e17118/statements_7002.htm#SQLRF01402]

    The fact is, so far, on two different instances of Oracle 11 g 2, my users are not limited in the creation of the tables only when they have quotas, but where they want to, except the STRING.

    The behavior correct would be to deny the creation of the table the tablespace where there is no quota, but it does not work.

    My instance of Oracle 10 g behave properly and therefore the creation of the table is denied the tablespace with no quota.

    P.s1 sorry if this a well known "bug/problem/question". I've been ridiculous on a well-known forum for the same question. I don't need to be "filled spoon" as shown on this famous site! I have read the documentation! I googled a lot!

    P.s2 even if the creative work of table on tablespace with no quota, you cannot insert data into it. Yes, big picture, the user cannot not filled space with irrelevant data tables, but it can create thousands of tables...!

    Did I miss something?
    Is there a 'default' option I have to mark to prevent the creation of the table where it shouldn't?
    ? (?)

  • text field with only letters and spaces

    Hello everyone, I am a newbie to livecycle designer and now I have a very confusing issue. I am trying to create a field named "last name." I wish she accepts only letters and spaces - you know, some names have two words with a space between them - and does NOT accept the figures. I tried to define the schemas of the tabled text, but he did not have a solution. Can someone tell me please how to do? Thank you.

    BTW, how to import a drop-down list to an XML file? I created an XML file below as taught in the help file:

    <form>
     <lists>
     <item uiname="MasterCard" token="MC"/>
     <item uiname="Visa" token="VS"/>
     <item uiname="Eurocard" token="EC"/>
     <item uiname="Special Card" token="SC"/>
     </lists>
    </form>

    then I tried to bind a list with her, but it does not work.

    Thank you

    Place the following code in the text box's change event...

    If (xfa.event.change.match (/ [A - Z\ \a-z]/) == null)

  • Bigger disk-swapping, but down two, possible to remove them from the table, and then expand?

    I have a R710 with a PERC 6 / i, Win 2008 R2 running. I have a small disk for the operating system, the other 5 bays are filled with 1 TB disks in a RAID array-5.

    I need to add more storage, so I want to buy three discs of 3 TB. I plan on the withdrawal of old readers, and then put it in the new, bigger. I assume that it will take 1 of the 3 TB and repair. Leaving free 2 TB disk. Repeat this step twice more, which will result in three discs of 3TO with 6 TB of disk space not used in the RAID.

    Is it possible to have the controller expand storage in my table of RAID-5 existing free space, and then delete the two remaining 1 TB disks in the array?

    Who is? Is it still possible? Or do I have to backup the data on another storage device and delete the table and simply start a new one with the three discs of 3 TB and copy the data back?

    This will not work:

    (1) the PERC 6 won't take 3 TB drives; the maximum size is 2 TB.

    (2) you cannot delete records in a table - your RAID 5 5x1TB must always have records of 5 or more (you can add without deleting).  Even when using the same number of disks, isn't it possible to do the smaller table/VD.

    (3) even if you used 2 TB disks, there is no way to expand the RAID 5 using the extra space on the disks - with 5 disks in RAID 5, it will remain the same size. The only thing you can do with the new space is to create a second RAID array on the disks (called "slice").  This new VD is handled by the operating system as another "drive."

    Keep in mind if backup and restore in a larger painting, as if the VD ('disc') is greater than 2 TB, the disc "" MUST be converted to GPT and active UEFI bootmode (instead of BIOS).  Make sure that your backup software is capable of restoring one using the BIOS install on a system UEFI (and the 'disc' TPG 'disc' MBR).

    My question: why are the information stored in the database control file (Faure) target so that its stored in the recovery catalog?

    Hello

    By default, RMAN stored metadata in the file control, all the RMAN is first written to control the file and then catalog of recovery if leaves. For example, when rman creates a new backupset, you can view the information in the v$ backup_set and you can also view the same information of the recovery RC_BAKCUP_SET catalog views.
    So every change repository is stored in two places... Control file and optionally recovery_catalog

    The catalog of recovery of the RMAN Repository versions are stored in database tables and version control repository os file stored as files in with in the control file.
