Shutdown of blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry ringtone

Hello, I am new to blackberry and the whole philosophy so here is my question-I put the ringtone to always ring, assuming it sounds always, but when in my pocket, I presume that it detects the movement of the trackpad (when I walk for example) and ringing, sometimes after a second sometimes after a few seconds sometimes it isn't. So is there a way to fix it, so it still sounds until I press the Cancel button or answer the call?

Lock your keyboard in your Pocket (a horrible place to keep a BlackBerry!).

Then, your movement will not result in the ringtone to quit smoking.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones transfer ringtones media channel area concentric tone?

This is probably a weird complicated question but this storm and blackberry phone in general is all new to me.  I downloaded ringtones, who went to the songs of media so I made a playlist named ringtones for them.  Now, I have noticed that when you go to the media there are a choice music etc., voice memo, ringtones, pictures chose to.  How can I move the ringtones I have in my playlist in media section where it says ringtones?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to do things on my storm while I'm here in my cabin in the snow-covered mountains of Colorado where I have no service so everything is hard for me, in addition to being again at the BlackBerry and especially the storm.

ONEC you in the media application, open the menu and select Explorer.
Then you have a file manager: you can select a file and move it to another folder.

  • Help of Smartphones blackBerry ringtones download

Hello.  I bought the storm yesterday.  My carrier is Verizon.  I went on the BlackBerry 101 on the site last night and he said to go in the media, then under the ringtones option there, choose "download ringtones" in the menu.  I tried which... but this option does not exsit in my menu.  Then... How and where can I go to download ringtones on my Storm?  Mobile.BlackBerry.com tells me to download the same way.

Does anyone else have this problem?

    Melissa,

You are right to not see this option - blackberry manuals can be very ambiguious due to the fact it operation of the 'general' device of overviews... not specific to the carrier verisons...

If you want ringtones?  You can use your own music from your computer!  If you have installed the Blackberry from your Inbox user Tools CD, you will see that, in BB, Bishop Office is an icon called Media Manager.  If you go here, you will see you can drag "/" drop "the files in a folder pre-designate ringtones on your memory card support.

Better yet, there are programs out there in stores and on the web that allow to cut snippets of your songs and create your own ringtones!  As long as they are in a compatible format, you should have no problem...

    I hope that helped!

  • Multiple Smartphones blackBerry ringtones?

I was wondering if it was possible to have several ringtones, as a specific ring tones to specific people, on my torch blackberry and how to do this? Thank you

I've never actually done it myself, but that's what, in my view, could work to experience it, I did.

From your home screen, go to Options > sounds and ringtones > sounds for Contacts > Add Contact alert.  Type the name of the contact for which you want a ringtone then scroll to alert settings contact and click on the phone.  You can now select a specific ringtone for that contact.

As I said, I've tried never did this, so give it a shot and post back with your results.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones MP3 Ringtone Creator

I downloaded MP3 Ringtone Creator for the App World. I want to create my own ringtones. How do I add MP3 files to my blackberry 9650 from my PC?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

You can use a PC for the transfer of information between the PC and the media card.
Basically you focus for the BB and PC USB. Start an office
Manager. Go to 'My Computer' on the PC and peripheral support card will appear as a flash drive.
Then you can "drag and drop" files on the media card.

Be sure to use the correct folder for stored media.

Use the following settings in the memory option settings:

    Card support ON

    NONE encryption mode

    Media transfer protocol WE

    WE support mass storage

Auto enable mass storage support when it is connected TO

    Thank you

  • Smartphone Torch 9800 blackBerry ringtone

Hi - I'm new to Blackberry (like today!)

When I get a call, it rings once and then at the bottom of the screen says "ring" - How do it sounds all the time so I don't miss a call?

    See you soon

Yes, I understand.  No doubt annoying and not good, especially if you have changed the settings for the profile.

If there is no option in your voicemail settings to change the number of rings, then it is something Orange would have to do.  Weird that they told you it could be changed in the settings of voice mail if indeed he cannot.

  • Shutdown of blackBerry Smartphones adding + when a call from address book

Hi, I have an 8830 from Verizon, and I am currently in China. I use a local prepaid card of SIM of China mobile and it works fine. China mobile phone numbers start with 13XXXXXXXXX. I recorded a number in the address book (for example 13888888888, without country code), but when I open the contact and select the call number 13888888888, one more is added when he calls the number that looks like this + 13888888888... of course, this way the phone makes a call to the United States, which is not what I do. To work around this problem, I need to save the number as 8613888888888, so that when the sign is added, he finds the appropriate country code and the Chinese dial without problem, or save the number as + 8613888888888.

But I don't want to fix all change all the numbers, and I want to know why it is adding the most? Y at - it an option to disable this feature?

For info, if I [i] call [/ i] the number manually as 13888888888 instead of calling it the address book, it does not add the most...

Hi saab_rider and welcome to the BlackBerry Forums

Try this please, go to the phone (by pressing the green button), menu, options, secruit call, change of an unknown country code, try again and let me know please, thanks.

  • Helmet of constant of Smartphones blackBerry ringtone

The phone seems to work perfectly, but whenever I connect a bluetooth headset (I tried two more different) they sound constantly - even when I am already in a call.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Strange, never seen (or heard!) that.

I guess you did a simple reboot?  With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  • How to change startup & shutdown screen blackBerry smartphones

Hi all! I am a newbie & I searched this topic without luck.

I've unlocked my device on a previous network and now use it on another. However, every time I start and turn off the device the old network logo and splash screen are on the screen.

How can I change this to something else, preferably BB OEM image logo or something?

    Thanks in advance!

You mean that even if I update the firmware to the last she won't change it in stock?

The 'stock' of flash start screen IS the initial seller. You cannot change this, it is hardcoded for the firmware of the device. No upgrade of the OS to OS another carrier will change that.

Just ignore it. This is no big deal and is considered only for a few seconds each time you turn on. Personally, I have never even turn off my BlackBerry. I perform a battery pull reboot every two days and see this screen, rarely noticed.
