Sidebar, on the top of the page & transparent?

Recently, I put my sidebar "sidebar is always above other windows", because I was tired of my apps it hiding, but I don't like the look.

Is it possible to have it always on top, but always transparent for my wallpaper?  Or have my other apps still behind him float? (he pushes all the windows on the side of the sidebar, so that nothing goes behind it)

Thank you.

Hello

You can uncheck only "sidebar is always on top" and then use the icon in the Notification area to bring back them to the foreground if necessary. And you can remove your Gadgets and let them float on the desktop, which means that you need to reduce active applications giving access to the desktop - using Show Desktop on QuickLaunch or shortcuts.

Right-click on an empty area of the sidebar - properties - in below to the left "how to customize Windows Sidebar"

I hope this helps.

  • In the browser, how to access the tab bar without going through the top of the page active

    Sometimes, I like to browse a page with several links - like reddit-, open some links on a separate tab, read them and then return to the homepage to resume playback from the point where I was before.

    The problem is when I'm far down on the page, I scroll the way back to the top in the order to the address bar and the button 'show tabs' to appear. Is there another way to do this? Perhaps a gesture or a button hidden to show the sidebar with tabs?

    Hi felipekfcosta,

    Thanks for this suggestion, we do not have a way to get the tabs without scrolling to the top.

    But, we have a long-term plan to add something to the browser that allows you to drag to another tab, no matter where you are on the page. Please use Firefox OS and by sending your comments and questions.

  • I can't get rid of an unwanted side bar, this is a site that I had listed on my toolbar bookmarl (?) in the top of my page in English

    I can't get rid of an unwanted side bar, this is a site that I had listed on my toolbar bookmark (?) in the top of my page.

    This problem occurs more often when you clicked on a link on a website to bookmark the site. Do not click on "bookmark this site" or a similar link/button on web sites.

    To correct each of the affected bookmarks, make sure that "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is selected/checked by doing one of the following:

    • Open the Favorites bar (Ctrl + B to open or close the bookmarks bar), right-click on the offending bookmark, choose 'Properties', last question at bottom above the buttons ' Save/Close.
    • In the library window (bookmarks > show all bookmarks), click on the offending bookmark, click on the button "More" at the bottom of the details (right-hand) pane, item is the last item above the word "lower to."

    I have a photo at the top of a page, I want to anchor in the first line of the text on this page, but the continuous text goes behind it. Is there a solution to this, or is this a limitation of InDesign? I made the transparent box so that you can see how the text behind it. I applied a movement of scrolling to the HTML box inserted to ensure that it does not move and that works very well when you are using Firefox, but when I check the site published on a different browser or any other computer, in fact the problem persists.

    Any ideas guys?

    I sent an e-mail to a contact on the Central form a bit ago but haven't heard back. Looking at the code, it doesn't seem to be an obvious easy solution, but there may be an internal adjustment Center forms somewhere (and thus my request to my contact).

    I'm a bit confused by the 'ugly color blocks "? When you view page 2 of the form all form items have transparent backgrounds and the label of 'How much of Pages is your resume?' is clearly above the other text in the form. What no possible to put a much higher than similar label or just do the greater whole form with the elements in the weak form with the area of the form?

  • Sidebar is the length of the page

    Hi, I have a site that has a right sidebar that doesn't show the background color to the bottom of the same length as the left side of the page.  The two circles left and right must be the same color so I don't think I need to do the business listed in http://www.alistapart.com/articles/fauxcolumns/.  There must be something basic that miss me.

    I think I have a 'mainContent' div that shows a background color and "leftContent" floats to the left, and "rightSidebar" floats to the right.  It seems like it should do the trick, but it is not enough.

    I guess I should have used one of the models.  (Even if everything was going well until I went to my next page which had a different amount of content in the sidebar.  (DOH!)  I tried to compare the model 'fixed right in the header of a column to two', but I can't for the life of me understand what the different key ingredient.

    Most of this Web site is originally a protected file, but I think that I have copied enough up to http://laurabentley.com/test/instructors.html for you to be able to see what is happening.  I guess I should also post the CSS.  See below.

    Any help appreciated.

    I think that the solution to your problem is not that difficult and I have a feeling that you could make it more complicated to be.

    First of all, your HTML is a little crooked, you can check in the validator.  However looking at this excerpt:

    You cannot have an id more than one time for your crumbsNav must be a class or something different on each element.  You also class = "rumbsNav" which I think is a typo, though I don't check.

    Somewhere in the page, you have too many items closing or an incompatibility of somekind.  I don't have time to track down.

    In my suggestion what he did add your chosen color to the element container to your sidebar and your content area.  It should work.

    Martin

    PS - I would be interested to know what you are trying to reach with class = "li rumbsNav a" you do not need to declare li or one in a class. "  I see no reason to do that, but I accept it may be a!

    Hello

    If I understand correctly, you can simply change the margin in the following rule:

    #contact-support-link {
        float: right;
        margin: 8px 0 0;
        padding: 0;
        list-style: none;
    }

    to something like this:

    #contact-support-link {
        margin: -8px 0 0;
    }

    Good luck

  • No menu or the toolbar at the top of the page, try screw up firefox and download the new version, still no menu or toolbar

    I have google as my default homepage on my Mac. This morning when I opened Firefox Google home page fills the entire page, there is no menu or toolbar at the top of the page. I tried to click on F11 but it fills just the search bar with an f. I tried right clicking and clicking on 'ESC' but which does nothing. I tried to screw up my version of Firefox and download a new version, but when I opened it, it opened to the Google home page and there's still once a menu or toolbar. I did not restart my computer once I downloaded the new version of Firefox. I'll try that right now.

    On Mac, command + shift + f should also switch between normal view and full screen.

    Another method that may work is to drag the pointer of the mouse completely to the top of the screen. If the tab slides to the bottom bar, you can right click (Ctrl + click?) an empty area of the top (or right click on the button '+') and you should get a context menu runs with the option for Mode full-screen output.

    Does it work?

  • How can I move the toolbar of the tabs in the sidebar to the top of the windw with other toolbars?

    My tab toolbar is a sidebar on the left side of the screen. I just downloaded v. 38.05 after doing a clean install of Mavericks on my MacBook Pro. Something didn't look right, but I couldn't understand it at fisrt. It is only afterwards that I had opened more than 1 pill I discovered the toolbar of the tab was "hidden" and not in its usual place? I want it to work along the top of the window to my other toolbars at the same time. How can I move it?

    Thank you!

    You only have the tabs in a side bar if you have installed an extension that provides this feature.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • When you want to reduce two web page options are available in the top right of the page:

    Options to reduce the size of a web page are offered via signs place and dashboard at the top right of the page.
    In my case, that the place does not - it just let page to the original format. My only option is to use the dashboard which reduces the page at least - an icon in the taskbar.

    The icon in the Middle toggle between maximized and resizable. When the window is resizable, you can click and drag upward from the lower right to resize the window.

    Here is some additional information on the configuration of the new tab page:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.newtab.url and enter your favorite page:

    • (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
    • Blank tab = > subject: empty
    • Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
    • Any other page = > full URL of the page

    Press Ctrl + t to open a new tab and check that it worked. Fixed?

    Some traps:

    If Firefox will not let you change this setting: you can have what is called SearchProtect on your system.

    Firefox if allows you to save your changes, but he doesn't know: one of your extensions may be the substitution of her. You can consult, disable and/or remove extensions on the addons page:

    "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons > in the left column click on Extensions

    If the modification works during your session, but during the next startup is leads to: you could have a user.js file in your personal settings Firefox (your Firefox profile folder). This article describes how to track down and delete the file: How to fix preferences that will not save.
