  I m using MacOS Sierra sync with desktop (and documents). Logged into my account, are two Macs (Air and a MB Pro). No I find in my iCloud drive a documents folder (it's good and the documents of the MB Air folder) and in this case a "Dokumente - MacBook Pro mg" folder which is the folder documents of my MB Pro (this is not so good). This isn't what I expected, I expected to have a documents folder which is identical on both machines. Does anyone know what I need to adjust to get things clear?

  Basically, you add to the folder Documents after activation of the synchronization of the files will be synchronized as you expect. But the files that were in your Documents on several Mac folders when you switch on for the first time on the synchronization will be placed in specific subfolders to your new folder of Documents iCloud Drive device. Apple apparently felt that he could not predict how each user would want their old files organized in the folder of Documents Drive iCloud, so Apple left to each user to reorganize the file later.

  I have now moved all my own files on the first level of my folder of Documents Drive iCloud and trashed the duplicate of the other device-specific folder. Now, everything syncs between computers, as expected. They will always sync in another subfolder, but at least I know to use it only on their own device.

The good news are the following steps will help to solve your problem and get your keyboard working properly again. First, start by resetting the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac:

  Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac.

  If you still having the problem after resetting the SMC, use safe mode to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks, remove files from the system cache, check your startup disk and trying to fix problems if necessary directory.   I just upgraded to Cougar on my two Macs. On the MacBook Air using Firefox 14.0.1 some pages in 'my account' on Amazon site and the portal my.yahoo.com (when connected to the account) are flawed. Note: the portal of my.yahoo.com page seems perfect if you are not connected. It gets only scrambled if you try to display the personalized home page for your account. It is similarly of the Amazon. the general site seems perfect; It is only when you try to view deep pages, such as 'my account '. I've seen problems similar to some other sites, as well. All sites are fine in Safari. Text superimposed on the paragraphs, missing images, etc.

• Two Macs can connect to a URL, another on the same network may not

  So far, I can connect this behavior to a unique URL only - but of course, it's an I need to get in order to save some software on this particular machine.

  I emptied the cache, flushed the DNS cache and checked that I use valid DNS servers. It isn't Safari, chrome this brings. Two Macs reached the URL without any problem, but this new model Mac Pro simply will not reach it and traceroute expires after a few jumps. All three machines are on the same network, all three use the same DNS servers. I rebooted several times.

  All three Mac running the latest El Capitan. The two reach the URL are a MacBook Pro and a Mac Mini Server.

  I'm puzzled.

  Please note that a traceroute on all three machines reveals the slowdown even at the same jump in the chain, but only the Mac Pro seems to have trouble with it.

• Can I connect a drive hard thunderbolt to two Macs?

  I have an iMac and my main storage device is a disk hard thunderbolt (double disk RAID).  I also have a mac mini as a server and I would like to set up the service of time machine, but only if it can store backups on the same drive external thunderbolt.  I know there are two ports thunderbolt on the disc, but I guess it can be used only with one computer at a time.  Is this true?   You can have backups from two Mac on disc one hard, if you share the Mac disk drive that is connected. The second Mac then backup over the network to the first Mac who will write the data on the hard drive.

• User interface artifacts in beta of Mac OS Sierra on 2013 Mac Pro

  I try the beta version of Mac OS Sierra on my Mac Pro 2013, and when you scroll brushes or other elements of the user interface, there are artifacts that remain on the list that make it difficult to see.  The problem persists even after disabling processing GPU in Photoshop and restart.  Clues as to what might be the cause, or someone else has this problem?  Any other apps don't do this on my mac.

  Adobe license can be activated on 2 machines using the same Adobe ID, but can be used only at a time.

  I see messages intermittent my gateway network two MAC addresses associated with a virtual machine running on a 5.5 ESXi host for the same IP address.

  The virtual machine is a MiTel 3300 controller for a VOIP system. the system is configured with two IP addresses, one on the local network and another with a public IP address in the DMZ. In the network configuration of the 3300, I assigned the address LAN IP at 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:B2 and the DMZ IP at 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:BC (Mac for network devices presented by the ESXi host virtual machine).

  On the host, I configured a vSwitch with exclusive access to two physical network adapters on the host machine. The vSwitch is configured with two machine virtual port groups, LAN and DMZ, with access to the physical network interface cards. Tab grouping of groups vSwitch port NIC, I replaced the order of failover of the switch to activate an active NETWORK card only for the Group of LAN ports and the other card NETWORK only for the DMZ port group. (I don't know how the content of the column of networks is determined. Neither is correct for the traffic on the physical switch. If these are configurable, please advise and I'll change the settings). The relevant parameters of vSwitch, groups of ports and VM are distinguished below.

  On the virtual machine itself, through the VMWare host, I assigned 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:B2 for the Group of LAN ports and 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:BC to the DMZ group port (best I can tell, anyway, since the MAC address field annoyingly obscures the last two digits of the MAC address - break if I invert the mapping) (, but all seems OK).

  The goal here is to make sure that MACs of ports vSwitch the 3300 is listening and sending always correspond to the physical ports that are VLAN Tag by the physical switch to ensure the routing. Generally speaking, it seems that what is happening but, intermittently, we cross one-way calls that suggests a problem of routing between us and our SIP trunk provider; coinciding with these incidents, I get an email along the lines of "the security in the network device has detected a conflict of IP address with two or more devices. The period of INVESTIGATION "DMZ. DMZ. DMZ. DMZ' is claimed by the following clients with MAC addresses: ' 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:B2' ' 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:BC'. »

  I did something in the configuration that would lead to this kind of collision intermittent? Have a hacked together a way to do something that could be accomplished in a way that is simpler and more reliable?

  I probably don't fully understand your configuration, but it seems that you are not interested in using the collection of NETWORK adapters in the virtual switch of the VM MiTel 3300.

  If it is correct, why not create two virtual switches, each with a group of port (LAN and DMZ) unique and with a separate connection of (vmnic2 and vmnic1)?

  In general, collection of NETWORK adapters may be used to share traffic between uplinks and ensure that if one of the uplinks connect fails, a virtual machine still has access to the network.

• Can I use Lightroom CC between two Macs with different versions of the operating system

  I have the CC for photographers. I keep my work to Dropbox LR catalog and access them from my MacBook Air laptop or my desktop iMac computer. Currently, two computers are running the same version of Mac OS. I think to upgrade the laptop for the new OS of Sierra, but because the office is older, I thought maybe not upgrade (it is near the minimum end of systems that can run Sierra). Can someone tell me if there is a conflict with the help of the LR catalog between two computers if they are not both running the same version of Mac OS. When the catalog is saved in the operating system that you are starting, it would still be compatible for use on the computer with the previous version of Mac OS? Thank you! Barbara

  If the machines use the same version of the software, then the files should be feasible in both machines.

• Backup of two mac mini hard drives

  I have a Mac Mini 2011 with two 500 GB hard drives.  I have apps and General things about hard drive #1 and #2 only has pictures and videos.  Will be Time Machine backs up both drives to my external hard drive as one or two separate back ups?  I see files of backup HD #1, but not sure if the HD #2 files are also there.  I can't find an answer in the support documents.  Ideas?

• Strange shadows on the Sierra of the Mac OS on an external monitor

  After upgrading to Mac OS Sierra, I noticed that there are these strange shadows. It of almost like the gradient of a shadow is not fluid and smooth:

  Is this normal, or is there a problem? Recommend a fix?

  I'm on Mac mini (mid-2011) and a screen LCD Dell UltraSharp U2913WM 29 inches.

  This seems to be quite normal. The windows are translucent, and what I see, this is the result of the image behind the window.

  It was the same thing in El Capitan (and, I suppose, Yosemite, as well).

  You can go to system preferences - > accessibility-> display and select "reduce transparency" if it bothers you.

• iTunes sync between two Macs

  Newby here: must be a current situation... I have an old iMac from 2004 still purring along and I use it only for iTunes, fuelled an amp for home.  There are about 20 GB of songs.  My 'new' baby is an iMac 2012 also with about 20 GB music.  A large part of the songs are common to both, but many are not.  I would like to sync the two so that both machines have all the songs.  Is not its too difficult for me.  Please tell me it's easy!  That would be a backup for my music.  Otherwise, I need to find all the songs on the new Mac that aren't on the former and copy it on the old iMac for use through the amp.  Please people if you can help.

  No, there is no easy way, especially with one of the Mac's so old and do not have all the characteristics of a new iTunes such as sharing at home or iCloud.

  The only way to merge them is to copy the folder Media from one computer to another (using a flash drive if necessary), add files to iTunes, then spend a day treaty duplicates.

  It would help if you provided more details about the computers, their versions of the operating system, versions of iTunes, if they are connected in a network.  The only way I can think of making some work is if once you have support all in one place, you run separate iTunes library files that correspond to the versions different iTunes you are using, but they point to the media in a central location.  However, they will always have different playlists and adding or removing media must be made by the two libraries individually.
