Sierra - xcode 8 performance
Since the upgrade to Mac OS Sierra, XCode 8, Swift 3, etc... My iMac freezes compilation swift, it is almost imposible to do anything.
I don't even understand the memory monitor statistics (SNAPSHOT), can someone tell me how this can be fixed, I don't think I'm the only one with this problem
Too bad, cause was a func returning a literal creation of a dictionary with complex types, change to first create the variable and then return it, and the compiler works. but it's still terrible

I've just updated to the latest version of Sierra. I thought I had read somewhere that SMB was preferred over the AFP in Sierra and that performance would improve. I don't see any improvement. My results are so radically different, I thought that I post to see if anyone can tell me why my performance SMB is so catastrophic?
I have a Mac Pro (non-cylindre) on a home network wired gigabit. Synology DS412 + NAS running 4 disks in RAID 5. I mounted it my my Mac using the basic option "Connect to Server" in the Finder and typing "afp://server:share" and "smb://server:share" for testing. Both were mounted and tested separately, which means I am disconnected from the AFP before Assembly and test SMB. I used rsync with some verbose options to copy a 1.5 GB file in order to see the speed and get a transfer of the statistics.
Here are the stats to transfer the file to AFP:

I think it's a pretty decent speed, but my concern is not the top speed, is the disparity.

It seems that Apple still did not set their "quick and dirty" dose for such Badlock described in this thread: El Capitan 10.11.5 update slow SMB (bug)
If you believe that your network is protected from man-in-the-middle attacks and the bug Badlock, then you can disable the client for signature.
- Create a nsmb.conf file in / etc with vim. sudo will be necessary.
- Write to the file:
[default]
signing_required = no
Then restart your machine. Your SMB3 speeds should be comparable to the AFP again.

Crashing apps and the slow performance since the installation of macOS Sierra
Hello
Im a user of long date Mac but displays the first time that I was pretty happy with everything that on my macbook pro for the past years... until I installed Sierra a day ago.

As a precaution, we always recommend that you have backups to make sure that all your data is safe. You can perform a backup using Time Machine and an external hard drive. Use this article to help make a backup of your Mac: use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac.
Then, in accordance with article help: printer and scanner for Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, and the Mavericks macOS software, the HP Envy 4500 e-all-in-one is supported for printing and scanning. The drivers must be installed, but if not, if it please go to the App Store and check the updates tab to see if there are updates for HP. If there is, please install.

Hi Apple,
Just upgraded to OSX Sierra 10.12 (A 16, 323), MacBook Pro (17 inch, early 2011).
2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, RAM = 8 GB DDR3 at 1333 MHz.
After upgrading to Sierra, e-mail was completely rebuild, and now the app slows system performance where my Mac is almost unusable. Spinning balls, delays of 30 seconds, etc..
After leaving messaging, things speed up slightly. Restart my Mac accelerates again until I run the Messaging.
Could you please tell, and if it is a common problem, could you please address it in the next update of Sierra? Had no problem under Yosemite.

I upgraded to macOs Sierra of El Capitan & my screen saver will come after the computer idle for some time.
I have reset a twice, if I go to the screensaver, that's where.

Overview of Sierra blacking out diagrams in PDF
When you view a PDF user manual, and some of the diagrams are blackened. Read properly user manual front of Sierra. A new pdf download does not help. The document is displayed correctly in SC6. All the patches?

I see your message that your PDF document is not correctly displayed in the preview for macOS Sierra. I'll be happy to help.
As you notice this with several pdf files and these files seem to be display correctly in another app, looks like you have isolated this problem with preview more precisely. First, open preview and choose Exit in the application menu in the menu bar, or press command-Q to close the application. When you re - open preview, hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard while you open the program. This will temporarily prevent the application to reopen his documents and its windows. A test to see if you still notice the same problem after you perform this step. If you haven't already done so, try to restart your Mac to see if the problem persists as well.
If the problem persists after trying the above steps, I would like for you to start in safe mode and test for the problem there. Take a look at the following resources for more information on this process:

MacBook air crashes after the release of sleep since the upgrade of the sierra
Began to notice that since I upgraded my macbook air 2015 to sierra, system crashes. The trigger is always when I wake the sleep system (whether it is by opening cover or press a key). Issue is intermittent and may not be reproduced every time. I contacted apple support and they recommended resetting the SMC (ctrl + shift + cmd) but that didn't help either. I also did a check of filesystem (fsck-fy) and which seems to be very well so.
I noticed others seem to be faced with similar problems and a common theme that I noticed was that both we seem to have an installed tardisk. Not sure if this could be a factor?
While it is not any loss of data, the question is certainly annoying and disruptive to work.
The same question was observed at about 7 times since the update of the sierra. Containing the report of Etrecheck to the breast

Problems after upgrade to Sierra.
After the upgrade to Sierra I have questions. App & external drives are locked after the iMac is off mode 'sleep'. Unable to perform even normal shutdown. After you have reinstalled the operating system, again always get the same result. Updated from El Capitan. My iMac is a 5K, 27-inch retina, end of 2015 with hard drive internal 2 TB & Intel Core I5 3.3 GHz processor.
I had similar problems in the opposite direction. My iMac 27-inch would freeze requiring power and on almost every day, and waking up from his sleep was problematic. Apple tips to the identification of the problem was not practical. Updated for Sierra and the process (forgot why) I've unchecked hard drive put to sleep when Possible in energy-saving and leave ticked avoid computer to sleep when the screen blanks. The combination of the hard drive part uncheck to sleep and Sierra gave me four of frost free days (my record is new so do not even celebrate) but waking up is no longer a problem. Might as well try and see how it works.

Battery draining fast - after Mac OS Sierra update
Hi, I'm not able to understand any cause yet, but my battery is dying real fast for the last few days since I've upgraded to Mac OS Sierra. I could use my mac almost for 5-6 hours on a single charge, but now his sentence stay for 2 to 2.5 hours. Everyone knows a similar problem? Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac
Once your data is secure, you'll want to test this function in Mode safe mode and see if you get the same effect. Safe mode (sometimes called secure boot) is a way to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks and prevents certain software from loading automatically or opening. Also, it verifies your startup disk and trying to fix problems if necessary directory and delete font caches, hiding the kernel and other files of the system cache. The following link can show you how to start your MacBook Pro in Mode safe.
Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

Late 2009 iMac Sierra gel & incomplete close
Hi all
I did a clean install of Sierra on my iMac late 2009, 3.60 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, the 12 GB of RAM, a 1 TB drive, ATI graphics card. Everything seemed to happen. Now, I have two problems:
1. at least twice daily than the iMac just hangs. The mouse moves, but can not select anything. Cmd - Tab will not pass applications. Keyboard does not respond. All I can say is that I always Mail, Safari, & Open Office 4.1.2 running. Have to hold the power button to turn off and restart.
2. at the end of the day, when I stopped, the process is not finished and I just get a black screen (computer for desktop is black, but the items on the desktop are not visible), with the only docking station. Still, the only way out seems to be to hold down the power button to turn off.
Anyone else having these issues? Is it that I can save for a clean install of Yosemite that worked perfectly before?

9.0 schedule search in macOS Sierra
I ve made just the switch to macOS Sierra on my 2014 27 "iMac and not only love him but they were"lucky"so far: everything (apart from a few little niggles in Photoshop CS6) works well. But in the calendar, I have several entries and events dating back to the 1990s that I still sometimes have to find. But rummaging through the won´t calendar show anything more than 1 year away, which is very frustrating! Someone knows how to help me, or is this a limitation of the I´ll calendar just to live with? I like using Mac calendar for its simplicity, clean up the GUI and the perfectly in-sync with my iPhone and Don t want to use a third-party program such as Fantastical or BusyCal. EtreCheck shows no problem and performance "excellent". Thank you very much for any help offered!
You need to re-index your Spotlight cache files. Some users have had to re-index the calendar items. However, before you start trying to bugs, if your calendars are synchronized, you can try to remove the addition. System Preferences > iCloud, clear the calendar check box, and then add it again. Give it time to delete files.
Check first under the Privacy tab in Spotlight. If the boot volume, or any volume where your data resides is listed, remove the. Spotlight will begin immediately the amount of indexing. Check back later and you should be able to find the items in Spotlight.
HOW DO I RE-INDEX YOUR SPOTLIGHT CACHE FILES
In the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
* Click on the projector.
Make this mail and Messages is enabled on the results tab of research.
* Click on the Privacy tab.
* Drag your player to the list. Wait a few minutes.
* Remove the item you added.
* Projector will be re - index the content of the element that you initially dragged to the list.
Probably not necessary, but I would immediately leave the Terminal and restart your Mac.
SUMMARY:
Depending on your Mac and the contents of his hard drive, the re-indexing may take several hours. This night is a good option if you have a large drive.
Open the activity monitor in Applications/Utilities and type md in the search filter. You should see several mdworker who are active processes.

(Mid-2010) Mini Mac external speakers + Sierra
Hello guys,.
I wonder about this new system. Since I downloaded it my external speakers have not worked. I have Aiwa speakers before 180 system. I tried to plug in the headphones or the internal speakers and nothing happens. The speakers still work b/c I hear static and I have tried plugged into themselves and I got a your hard. So my best guess is that Siri has messed up this older model Mac compatibility. So, what gives Sierra, I love so much that I have would be to demote, however there is no more Audio download of El Capitan.
Check your sound settings in system preferences. They could be eset with default values. Often just tilting head and on the output selections will 'wake up' the system.
Alternatively try a Starter course if the above does not help.

Restart in Safe Boot mode by holding down the SHIFT key at startup. Secure boot is quite slow because the operating system performs some cleanup and verification tasks, so give it time. Once you're completely connected, restart normally.
