Hi Matt,
Please, try the following steps and notify if you were able to solve the problem or not.
(1) place you utilities > Adobe install and check for Adobe Creative Cloud Uninstaller. If you are able to find the uninstall program, please click on it and uninstall the product.
(2) navigate back to the utilities and check if you are able to find any creative application Cloud Desktop or Adobe Application Manager folder. If Yes, please remove.
(3) now, navigate to/Library/Application Support / Adobe and rename the folder Adobe Application manager _old and OOBE to OOBE_Old.
(4) it seems you're on 10.10. If so, please make sure that the permissions are all correct on the machine.
Post following the steps above, please try the installation procedure again and advise.
See you soon,.

Error of Adobe Application Manager
I have Adobe Lightroom 6 I bought in standalone version. I used it for several months and it worked fine. Now, when I go to open Lightroom (whether a catalog or the program shortcut), I get a dialog that reads;
Adobe Application Manager to start your trial, is missing or damaged.
Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager of
http://www.Adobe.com/go/ApplicationManager
I have not downloaded this because I do not have a trial for Lightroom, I have the full version. Should I even when the application manager or how to fix this? Thank you
Thanks Mohit
Actually, after I posted the question I had a different dialog box when I tried to open Lightroom asking me to connect. I signed up with my Adobe, ID but then it said my trial was expired. I did not have a trial - I have the full product, but I re entered it anyway with my serial number. My catalogs are still fine but all my presets disappeared and my preferences are reset. Lightroom now seems to work fine.

When I download the application manager to update, I get an error message saying that the "failed initialize" and that I have to download some software more to detect the problem, but that software is no longer there. That question apparently started spontaneously after no problems at all for a month or two.
start at the top and work your way down to apply applicable patches until your problem is solved.
If (win) cc: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-application-failed.html
If your error is:
"Setup failed to initialize. File not found. ' or 'could not initialize installation. This could be due to missing files.
first of all, rename folder OOBE OOBE.old.
to find the OOBE:
Win 64 bit OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
Win 32 bit OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
Mac os: HD > library > application support of > adobe > caps
Mac os: USER > library > application support of > adobe > OOB
If it fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
If you use an installation dvd:
Copy the contents of the drive in a desktop folder and install from this directory.
If you are using a mac:
1. try to create a new user account in Mac with administrator privileges.
2. connect to the new user, navigate to Mac HD > Application > utilities > Adobe Installer folder, locate products such as Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and uninstall the
3. navigate to the user library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.
4. navigate to Mac HD > library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.
5 restart the installation.

Installation of the application manager
I started a student account Cloud Creative, and by the statement, the first thing I had to do was download Adobe Application manager. I have download the dmg and double-click it to open the CC Setup program, but whenever I open it, the installer disappears just half way through the download - and I have no idea where he's going.
I can't do much without the Application Manager - but I can't seem to download it.
I'm on a Macbook Pro 2012 the retina with Mac OSX Yosemite.
Thanks for any help.
HI Clayton
Have you downloaded the Update Manager app CC from here?
https://creative.Adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
Try to repair disk permissions. Check to see if there are errors during installation
You can follow the steps in this link. This should help https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-cc-installation-download.html
You can use the Adobe Clean tool to remove the software if you need to reinstall.

Thank you

Can not get the Application Manager to install
Receive messages that I need to reinstall the Application Manager, but if I ever download and try to install it, I get the error message "could not initialize... Download Support Advisor. "When I try to download that, it says that it has been discontinued.
I tried with my Norton firewall on and outside - no difference.
Try to install on the machine Lenovo Yoga win 8. He used to work since last year so far, then it just stopped when I updated to the latest version of CC.
I still don't know if you have a cc subscription so start here, Download Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App & Adobe Application Manager

Ive just bought an annual subscription to creative cloud so that I could use photoshop for editing. When I try to load the software it says its to date but there is currently no photoshop on my computer.
I used the free trial version for a long time, but I have since deleted. How can I reinstall photoshop?
Mac or Win? How did you remove previously installed Photoshop trial? Have you used the program to uninstall, or you just drag it into the trash?
The Application Manager detects signs that the Ps is already installed on your machine. Do you have any other creative software installed as well?
I think that it might be preferable to eliminate any trace of and then try a fresh reinstall. Use http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html to clean your system and reinstal the software.

Why my laptop did start asking for the application manager?
I had an old Macbook with CS5 on it for a long time and it worked fine. Then I did a recent migration of a new Macbook Air, and suddenly a few weeks later a sign appears, a box, saying: I need a new version of the application manager. I have not yet today what it was, if I google it and found and downloaded. Then a sign came up saying that I had CS5 on more than 2 computers. So I chatted with Adobe a few times, lost many hours, they said they reset the license, he never went away. I finally just uninstalled CS5 out of the macbook air, as delete request handler and the macbook air is now just running an old copy of CS3. Should I try to re - install CS5, it's a kind of worreies me now. Maybe I just have to wait until I get CS7? It's the next Photoshop I will buy. Thank you.
How many computers have you installed ch to?
How many computers have active PS?
Before that you migrated to the new laptop, did first disable this copy of the PS?
If disabled, then uninstall Adobe Creative cleaner a few times, rebooting between each and then a relocation and reactivation does not work, I call customer support Adobe (not Technical Support) and chat with them. Many users have had better results with a phone call, with Live Chat.
In addition, Adobe stops many offices, during the holidays, so I don't know how the customer might have, or not have, until after the new year.
Good luck
